She passed away in January 12 2023. She never got over her son’s suicide they were so extremely close. She had
Barometric surgery to lose weight that she didn’t even need. Someone told her and I’m guessing her mother told her that she was getting a little chubby. Her mother was cruel to Lisa Marie, and there was a tear obstruction in her intestine and she bleed. During the Golden Globes when Austin Butler won, Lisa Marie and her mother Priscilla hadn’t spoken years. And they encouraged them to sit together she went to Graceland for her father‘s birthday ceremony that they do every year. She even said she doesn’t go out much and her father‘s fans and her fans were the only reason she came out. And people kind of chuckled because they thought she was putting them on but she said no I truly mean it if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t even come out of my house. And then she passed away four days later, such a sad turn of events in this family. I’m so happy that she was able to do duets with her father that means so much. God bless Elvis, Lisa, Marie and Ben may rest in peace in heaven. God bless their souls. It’s very sad thing.
Her son that passed away looked just like Elvis. Presley said her son reminded her so much of his grandfather Elvis that it "actually scared" her.

Lisa was a brilliant songwriter and she wrote many songs about her ex husband Michael Jackson. Weary is one of them.
I love that one too and all of them! My favorite though is Just A Dream. Her deep love for Michael Jackson really comes out in that song!! "Ive never been as high as when we fell in love....." Her tribute to their love, after his death.
Don't be sad. No rumor about Elvis (as bad as they got) ever separated Lisa Marie Presley from the father she knew and loved. She was his greatest supporter! I will miss her tributes to her father, like this one, as well her own contributions to music. She had a great voice, know that she was a writer too.

Another great duet, posthumous in the case of the father at the time, is Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole singing "Unforgettable".
I think you would really enjoy the pairing of Lisa and her father on In the Ghetto. What's very intriguing about Lisa Marie's music is she writes about her family. The rocking Lights Out talks about her father and Graceland, Sticks and Stones about being compared on stage with him. Nobody Noticed is a poignant work about betrayals and public attacks and rumors aimed at Elvis and how she thought he was affected.
Further rewards in Elvis's music can be found by exposure to his legendary Memphis sessions where he recorded after the 68 Special. He produced 2 albums and a handful of hit singles from those sessions at Memphis Sound Studios which was a different facility from the usual RCA studios. Suspicious Minds and In the Ghetto were two tracks. Elvis wanted a different sound and the results were positively reviewed. A few sides that might amaze you include Any Day Now, Long Black Limousine and You'll Think of Me.
My favorite duet when hearing her soulful voice harmoniously singing over her father’s voice. She looked like a female version of her father and had a deeper female voice as he had a baritone voice. Amazing work.

Hey sweetheart, you know that Lisa Marie wrote her own music , you need to check out her performance on the David Letterman Show, not sure the year , but it is one hell of a performance , it's called Light's Out , the first time she debut the song on national TV , listen to the words of the song and you will get what she is saying . ,it's about Someone turned the lights out there in Memphis , powerful performance by this Beautiful young lady. Thanks for the great reaction to this beautiful song and she actually put out 3 very impressive albums of her own , she was the first to say that she didn't try to live up to the voice of her 🎉beautiful father, vet she was power packed in a small package

Listen to Lisa Marie Presley's 3rd CD Storm And Grace, it's her best out of all 3 CD's. She was married to and was the love of Michael Jackson's life, so Elvis was Michael Jackson's father in law for a time! They had a 9 year relationship, continuing their love for 4 years after they divorced. Elvis introduced Michael Jackson to Lisa Marie as Lisa was a fan of the Jackson 5 and would see their shows in Vegas when the Jackson 5 were also playing in Vegas. Michael was 17 and Lisa was 7. 20 years after that meeting, they would be married. I loved your reaction to this song, it is my favorite of the dad daughter duets they did. Their voices are ethereal. Can you react to Just a Dream by Lisa Marie Presley in the future? It's one of her love songs for Michael Jackson, and my favorite. She wrote a LOT of songs about Michael Jackson on all 3 of her Cd's, she loved that man so much. She was lucky, because all women loved him too. They were a beautiful couple, and I am glad they both had that relationship because they needed it. Their lives were not easy.
I remember an interview where she said there was no one more famous than her father except MJ and he truly understood the profound impact that kind of fame has on those involved. May they all rest in peace ✌🏻

Elvis loved gospel and he recorded a version and Lisa Marie did the duet to honor her father.
Lisa’s voice was unique and it is a shame she had a short career. Only recorded three albums. She also wrote her own music. Something Elvis never did.

Lisa was nine years old when her dad passed, and she was at Graceland and saw him laying on the floor,a couple of years ago her 22 yr ol son Benjamin shot himself and shexwas never the same.
Michael Jackson's death really affected her too, her last husband said she did almost nothing else but watch everything that she could with Michael Jackson for 2 years straight... and cry. His concerts, videos, everything! After Ben died, she said she lost the 3 men who she loved the most! Elvis, Michael, and Ben. She had spent 9 years with her dad, and 9 years with Michael - before their marriage, during, and 5 years AFTER they divorced. She said MJ was the love of her life.
Please Please react to Lisa Marie Presley's song Light's Out official music video? Her looks & moves in the video literally mirrors her dad. She wrote the song about her childhood home Graceland,living with her parents after their divorce & not being with Elvis everyday & she writes about the 1st time she notices the spot for her in the family plot across from her Dad at Graceland! That Song & Video got ALOT of attention after it's release I think that record of her's went gold actually,but I'm not 100% sure.

This must have been recorded like the Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole video. Elvis died in 1977 and Lisa Marie was in her teens or early 20's when he passed. I never heard of any duet they did before his death.. Beautiful song, I had never heard before.

I don't think you're getting too deep. This is very sad because we know that Elvis and Lisa Marie left us too soon. Lisa Marie said, this was a difficult and emotional song to sing but felt her father's presence through the recording which helped her get through. She admitted she broke down afterwards. Lisa Marie looked like Elvis and was talented like him too.❤
This is, nice; but the greatest father daughter duet is Natalie and Nat King Cole, “Unforgettable.” My opinion, of course, but check it out! Frank and Nancy Sinatra actually recorded one together, Something Stupid” which is also together.

You should react to videos of pastor Bob joyce singing songs. It is said he is Elvis. He sings this. Go to his church song service of January 15 2023 at the end (23:13) he sings this and when he resings the chorus he almost breaks down. Even his sermon that day his voice wasn't as strong.
Lisa's music was not for me. I bought her first CD I'm from a different generation and that wasn't my cup of tea. However, this song she meshed with her dad's recording and IN The Ghetto were outstanding. She continued the work of her father when it came to the housing for the poor in Memphis. Cudos on those two great songs, Lisa.

Another interesting fact is that fast forwarding to Michael Jackson’s last home in California, is the same exact home that Elvis rented for himself when he was in California. Lisa did not remember that but Priscilla told her on the stage of Oprah’s talk show, after Michael had passed.😢❤ I find Oprah to be quite the hypocrite to rush to Lisa & her mom for the big interview after Michael was gone, knowing that she trashed him and sold him down the river with her documentary show featuring Michael at Neverland.😡🤬 we all know what happened to him after that show😒😟☹️❤
