I’ve been a Blood Angels player for over 30 years and I can safely say I think he’s just winging it. He says he’s overcome the Black Rage so he can just look cool in front of the Sisters of Battle on a Saturday night when he’s in the club.

Qué pasada, esto es otro nivel! Técnica muy depurada y un resultado de 10. Enhorabuena Sergio ;)
Astonishing - two things i learned: 1) Mix paint with one brush, load premium sable brush to a fine point with a small amount of paint. 2) painting delicately, almost exclusively with the very tip of a brush. I dont recall ever seeing the bristles even bend once.

Es una auténtica pasada verte pintar. No me gusta nada el aerógrafo pero sabes usarlo para darle ese puntillo OSL muy muy fino. Ojalá tener esa habilidad para entender los colores y usar los pinceles así. Como siempre, un gran trabajo.

I got mephiston for my lads blood angles, only I baught the old style pewter model off ebay because it reminded me of the first ever warhammer minature I got. It was the vampire lord from the old fantasy game. Its almost the same model

looks really good. The only thing I would have done differently, is having another glow on the plasma pistol, to get something to break away from the red and black. of course the purple head does that to some degree, but having the classic ice blue glow from the pistol would probably tie the whole model more, while still having a brighter contrast that would, make the red look darker while still having the focus of the models color. Really nice work though, would love to have the patient being that detailed my self.
Thank you very much, I did it in that color to have a more monochromatic style with red and black colors.
I considered at most orange to have red lights on the gun, so it was still in that color scheme.

There are techniques to make it as straight as possible, but it always ends up moving and has to be straightened.

Jaw dropping. I have been painting models since before the original Mephiston model was released and when the update came out it was an immediate purchase for me but I still haven't painted it because it intimidates me! I think I will have to learn how to paint these dual light sources. That feeling of the model being under moonlight with fire beneath him looks incredible and it's built up using glazes from an airbrush? Also, those non-metallic metal sections are jaw-dropping even before the glazes. So smooth!

Wow I love the way you made this already amazing model just become so unique I would have never had thought to color him this way. Love my death company with bone white chest Aquila, dark gun metal bits, red death company symbols, and extra details like drybrushed some battle damage to the armor with the end of the brush in the same gunmetal color as well as a thick blood to flick onto the miniature. Take your blood color and some Elmer’s glue mix it up and use a toothbrush to flick on that blood to chainswords across the armor etc really brings a lot to your miniature

Spray painting models and detailing by brush is the way forward... brilliant paint job.
There are many paths, I always vary in each project :)
Technically, there are 3 who survived the black rage. Mephiston, Lemartes and Rafen. Rafen is in the Blood Angel Omnibus by James Swallow. Lemartes lives in a half state. Fully in the throws of the Black Rage but also conscious and lucid.
However, Sergio, fantastic work as ever.
Thanks for the clarification, I looked for information about the lore and it said that, so I thought it was a good title. I will keep it in mind for future videos.

i like the glowing orange red light from the blaster all around of figurine,
but wont it be better if you made a small conversion like adding physically the flames/smoke orange exiting the sides of blaster?
by example from ar15/m16, we see those geometric small flames when they fire it, the flamme-supressor here could be added some tiny traits glowing extra plastic imitatic fire coming out?
There are painters who prefer the physical representation of the element itself and others with the color is enough, but yes, I will do other projects with the physical representation of the shot.

What type/size brush do you use for the face and do you use that same brush when you're mixing colors or is it a different brush?
What kind of paint did you use for the glow effect??? Is it a citadel paint?? That is unreal!
I explain all these on my tutorials, this one has many colors, orange, red, yellow, white...
