3 simple steps to easy chipping technique
This chipping technique is so easy with 3 steps that are simple
Step 1 is use the bounce of the club to stop duffing your chip shots around the green.
The other simple tip is to raise your club so the heel is off the ground eve. You set up to a chip shot. Doing this increases the bounce and reduces the likelihood of hitting your chip shots fat.
Step 2 is the relax your arms at set up to help remove tension in your arms so we want to Hang them naturally
A bonus short game tip is not always chip with your sand wedge or lob wedge it increases your consistency and margin for error
Step 3 get the core through
Do not stop your body rotation. Too many bad chips shot are when the body stalls and the arms push or dig down or flip the wrists to cause thin shots.
Simple feel when chipping is to rotate through.
Hope you enjoyed those 3 simple steps for a chipping technique

I use this “elbows against me” technique from about 50 yards, and in. It just keeps you connected, and makes strike very consistent. Great video.

Thanks Alex. Short game is so important for golfers who don't hit a lot of greens.

Great tip. I've been steadily improving most aspects of my game, except chipping/pitching within 50 yds. Very inconsistent (and frustrating!) Started practicing with your simple technique and almost immediately saw a huge improvement, with both contact and ball flight. Can't wait to get out and try it on course. Thanks!

So, the opposite of the butterfly grip, it seems. Thinking that maybe both are kind of at "limits", and maybe both are means of keeping the wrists "out of it". Both feel horrible and unathletic and unnatural, but I'll bet it beats chilly dips, skulls, and shanks. Actually, I bet I could still probably shank with either grip. 🙂

The grip can stay on top of you prefer, try adjusting the elbow orientation is all
