Every time I watch one of these, it reminds me how much any modern car or truck is just a collection of parts, all waiting to go bad or rust. The fact that you can take parts from various trucks and make something out of it is a tribute to your resourcefulness. Keep it up!

She is definitely coming along nicely. I can't get over what a professional paint job you are doing. Love it, be careful that C&C doesn't want you to be a full time painter😂😂. You are actually making a good useful truck out of what you have. It's definitely not going to rust out much more for a while now.

This channel in general and the dump truck series in particular, have become my “new” all time favorite on UA-cam.
Been watching off n on for a few years but faithfully since the church limestone recovery-revival series.
Love the spontaneity, passion, creativity and original-genuine humor.
Thanks for taking the extra time and effort to bring us along on your adventures and projects.
You are a genuine original and an inspiration.
Blessings to you and your family.

I grew up in Indiana so I can appreciate the humor and mindset I grew up with. My dad was not mechanical at all so even as child I fixed what was broken by trial and error and kept the cars looking good. My first project was repairing the waffle iron wiring. I was 7. My most ambitious project was prepping my 71 Corolla for new paint job when I was in my teens.

I went to look at a truck similar to your first parts truck, he wanted $11k for it and the body and box were good but I checked all the things that were rotten on yours and sure enough, it was pretty bad. As always, thanks for the free education!

Here we go again, only this time we're putting ON parts. I love the way you are still getting the correct answers to your questions. I always get the wrong answers, maybe I'm asking the wrong person. Anyway, the whole project is looking better every time we see it. That's got to be good, if things keep going this way you will have a 6' dump truck on your hands. Keep using the tractor paint, Pole Barn Garage uses it all the time and some of the results are superb., so go for it. If its good enough for Dalton... Keep doing what you do best Mike, best wishes as always from UK.

Glue that held the hairs in the brush melted see TS 4:38 when I used one to paint shellac with methylated spirit as a thinner.
I was putting a protective layer on a 1891 Singer sewing machine; the finish started to bloom and turn opaque / white. I did manage to get it off.
Now I always test what I am painting, just in case of disaster.
1980s my dad gave me some paint to spray on a motorbike trailer I had made at the Blacksmiths shop ;-(( I could scrape the black paint off with my finger nails :-((.

I know Mike, you have a car jack just laying around that you could use to hold the door frame up while you bolt it on (Or the 755 or the 555), but No, not you Mike, you have to do it the EASY WAY and pick it up with one hand while screwing in the bolts with the other...Twice! 🤣🤣 And of course, watching you roll the paint on the truck, sparked a memory of a joke from the past (which I really don't remember all of it) about someone painting a car with house paint (Not that is what your doing)! 😂😂
From what your showing, it really looks pretty good! Great job!

Good progress Mike, I liked when you put the drivers door on the bailey channel tried to give you a hug for reusing the door, a tip, if you have glue left on the door skin from removing the trim moulding grab a rubber "caramel wheel" as it's called in the trade, it will remove the glue but not the paint like a wire wheel so much less prep time, masking take will hold the glass up when your replacing winder assemblies in the doors.

Making every effort to rust proof and keep the investment around for as long as possible. 👍👍
Now make sure you get those brand new headlights aimed properly, unless you like to see up into the tree tops and out into the ditches. I guess seeing far enough in front without blinding oncoming traffic (if you take it on the road) would be luxury. 🤣🤣 However, it would be very beneficial out in the wild. Would help prevent rock and tree demolition derby encounters dark or little light situations!

Mike I have a theory that you probably over looked. By using a paint roller on your truck will give your paint "Dimples like a Golf ball". This effect works with the Aerodynamics of a golf ball creating lift, distance and speed. Now with my theory your truck will go faster, farther, using less gas, than if you would have used a spray can to paint your truck. Almost genius material!!! Keep up the good work, thanks for taking us along. Gary
