Hey Mike, I had a truck like that and I use was a transmission funnel I just had to be sure that when I had to add oil it was by the shop was the problem. Thanks so much for making the GMC dump the star of the show today from pre-check all the way through the day. I like your exhaust I could never figure out why the truck sounded so good when you dumped it. I thoroughly enjoy your Channel from graduating high school at 18 until my retirement at 65. The work I did basically what yours is using the same equipment except I did not have a skid steer. So I very much enjoy what you put on UA-cam thanks so much it's like going to work every morning when I watch your Channel without having any of the problems or breakdowns thanks again keep up the awesome work and willing to share here on UA-cam ldr
13:30 Reminds me of the small country roads I frequently found myself on when sight seeing in Germany. I also learned that many of the roads were farm roads and I didn't pay attention to the signs. WHOOPS! Fortunately the locals understood that I was American and getting lost was normal. LMFAO! They did appreciate that I loved how beautiful the country was and getting lost was worth the scenery.

A funnel with a hose would help you to overcome the oil fill issue on the C8500, I know the engineer's have it out for the general mechanics and truck drivers.

Mike , In the trucking and equipment industry things happen . if a person doesn't screw up then they ain't working . At least Captain Kleeman removed the mirror to go get a new one to replace the one he broke . No one is PERFECT , Mike . Another thing I noticed , Captain rolled the truck window up while loading to keep from getting loose dirt from getting in the cab , you didn't or at least we didn't see it or you edited out .
Last mirror I lost was in Chicago waiting to make a left, a Coca Cola went by on the right and cleared it off, fun driving a big truck with no right mirror.
I always blur my plate when I am selling anthing. I saw someone else do it, and I thought..."What do they know that I don't?" The last thing I want to do is think for myself and make rational decissions supported by common sense. I vote the same way.
Why do all your trucks sound so dang good????? Of all the "youtube" dump trucks, I think yours is the most versatile and most useful, it's just the right size for almost everything.
Mike I noticed on the red truck that the top radiator hose has been rubbing on that pipe just under it, maybe a job for the captain to put a shield between them before something happens

I worked for company when I got out of high school who had a driver roll a truck over. The owners response was let's fix it. A week or two later another driver tore a mirror off, he fired that guy. Why? The rollover was paid by the insurance. The mirror came out of the owners pocket. So, what's Kleemans fate? 😁

I think I had your funnel once, when I was in high school I asked my mom to pickup a funnel so I could put some oil in the lawnmower, she came home with one that had a 4’ long hose attached to it. I’d also like to second the rumor I heard on UA-cam that diesel breaks up road millings, I’m sure in this one case it will make them harder.
I have made a extension on a funnel of clear hose that reached down to the oil fill hole. Funnel sits up in the open and is easy to get to , Hope this helps.

As a retire truck mechanic I work for a oem dealer. Will I told an engineer that had came from the factory to show us how to fix a clutch issue. We had all ready found a way to fix the issue. He said that it will not work. That didn't set to well with us and I told him the problem is that they screw around all day and design these trucks on their lunch breaks. all must got fired put the boss agreed with me
I’m shocked you haven’t fixed that fill hose for the oil!! Probably use a old suction hose with a few clamps on it to bring it up to where you can fill it easy
Spray that exhaust pipe with Diesel fuel next time you haul millings. Heard a guy on UA-cam saying that it was good for that keeps stuff from sticking. :)
If you think it’s hard to get oil it now try having a plow harness on the front and only having a small trap door on each side of the hood to add fluids and do your pre trip. At the end you show that you would be a great person to work for.
I relate the broken mirror thing to a cowboy on a horse. Why does the cowboy wear two spurs? If he spurs one side of the horse and the horse goes, why does he need two spurs. Captain Kleeman, you only need one mirror. Lol
Yeah they dont use common sense when designing stuff cause they don't have to work on it or do general maintenance on them. Neat idea on the exhaust but need to figure away so stuff doesn't stick to it. Keep up the great videos

I'm a firm believer engineers should have to service and repair their design for 5 years before it's put into production we'd go back to things being like working on 70s and 80s vehicles
The reason for blurring out license plates is that it can create legal issues if you publish. Not your own plates necessarily however someone else's. God bless

My Uncle has some old school metal funnels with the extra long flexible necks (about 50 years old) that would've made it so much easier. LOL!

We use to have a 55 gal. barrel of oil and a hand pump with a six foot hose when dealing with having to change oil or topping off.
