Very nice guide! Just a small note on the +10 stat aggamans buffs from camp taurajo - they don't stack with scrolls (+9) or elixirs (+8). So it's only a loss of 1 agi/strength over scrolls if you skip them, not a big deal. Or +2 stat loss if you go with the much cheaper elixirs (lesser agility and ogre's strength) which I recommend unless you are an extreme sweatlord.

Try to use gse addon, you can have flanking strike in 1st block, and rs in 2nd block. You can now spam the button, you might loose 0.5 sec dmg output, but that macro will always work There is a build (only in theory) to use cobra strike + wind serpent + lvl 1 arcane shot. Idea is to trigger crit of arcane shot so that wind serpent will do double lb crit. Never tested, could be fun to see the result

As for Windserpent's range problem, I've solved it by macroing Bite into its attack button, that way it'll move into range before casting its automatic LBs, and as long as you don't need to passive/attack your pet multiple times within 10secs during a boss fight, it'll always work.
its still not nearly as good as cat. the only reason to bring windserpent to raid is to get a high parse on the turtle boss. other than that it is useless.
The difference between the two is negligible, I did my own testing outside the raid, and I've consistently played with multiple guildy Hunters where the only difference is who got lucky with better gear drops first, but I would love to hear where you got your numbers to say "still not nearly as good". LB is the best focus dump, whereas Bite/Claw crits for more, at the end it's pretty much a wash % wise between WS/Cat/Raptor - except for the turtle boss, which even you admit, and the difference on that boss alone is way higher than the difference on all other bosses combined, making WS better for this raid as a whole. In the future if bosses get magic immune shields then cats will be better, or if WS gets locked out of the next LB rank, which will happen next phase (lv40, next LB is a 41 mob) so cats will be better in phase 2 for sure. To be fair it doesn't matter either way since all bosses die in 30secs to a minute no matter the pet, regardless the macro I gave is still good for phase 3 and onward.@@squirtgunpumper

So I went into stocks with the cat and wind serp to test dps. Even with flanking strike I was getting roughly the same dps (+/-1) I think the wind serp might have better burst (plus range) Almost impossible to test vs a long fight since we don't have target dummies. I'm gonna try Marks this week, I think it might actually be stronger and prob more usefull in pvp since I'm doing that now as well.
Would make SV the AoE spec with 30% increase trap damage. Could also change trash Serpent spread to beast cleave. Allowing pets to hit all or up 5 targets within 8 yards for 50% of melee damage for 6s after casting multi. Which could be adjusted of it if it's to much or little damage. This would give range MM/SV hunters aoe with Master Trapper and BM hunters with Beast Cleave. Melee hunter already has Carve. Just some wishful thinking.
You don't have to manual bite necessarily how i do it is use kc turn bite on auto and manual lighting breath. Seeing as though I don't melee weave it's not a big deal. I ran a bfd earlier with another hunter that had cat and he was eager to get a wind serpent after seeing how much dps mone did

Raptor strike shouldn’t hit your Gcd like Heroic Strike if I understand it correctly so idk if you can make it wait. It basically ques immediately and strikes on the next auto attack so you just have to press it separately
making this comment because i hate youtube misinformation. this is a word of caution to anyone who uses youtube for guides. i have several 99 parses in bfd without even really trying for them. average top parse of 97.5 with like 95% raid prebis gear (not actual bfd gear). i do not do any of the buzzword youtube misinformation including "kill command" and "melee weaving". you do not and should not use either of those buzzwords as they are much much much more difficult to put out higher parses than what you should be doing which i have listed below. for rotation i do use both arcane shot and serpent sting on cooldown (only serpent sting when the dot falls off) and just mana pot to sustain as my mp5 is high enough with smoked sagefish and wisdom that when i oom i can still multishot -> atuoshot -> multi shot on multishot cd. i prioritize no autoshot delay over multishot cd. i suggest getting a mana ticker addon to better predict when you can multishot. and i run sniper training over kill command as kill command barely adds any dps relatively. i only used kill command on jorgus as everywhere else it is a massive dps loss to run kill command. if you can utilize sniper training effectively you will pump damage. and i do something that ever hunter running bm looking to top parse in dungeons should do in their rotation which is also the only reason bm is better than mm right now which is not included in this video also which is heavy dynamite weaving. yea so when this youtuber mentions "oh you can melee weave because you dont have to worry about aimed shot" welp guess what? heavy dynamite is your new aim shot. your rotation should be heavy dynamite -> auto -> multishot + serpent sting -> auto -> arcane -> auto and prioritize your mana/cds in that order. serpent sting only needing be applied to keep the dot up. also you need to download stixx fixx weapon swing timer to completely negate any delay in your auto shot casts. every delay in auto shot cast and every needing to rebuff sniper training is a massive dps loss. all you have to do is try to stand still and pump that priority rotation. it is very feasible to do with every boss except from crazy totem circus man. no kill command adding less than 10 dps. no melee weave acrobatics. just stand still huck, explosives, and do big dam. also btw bigbobbedboi on baron aquanis you are better off sitting on the little beach accross the way instead of on the platform as you will never get kocked off the beach. i know roleplaying as poseidon is fun and all but you can 100 parse from the beach. smh.

You have a spell in your general tab called "Beast Training". And there are "Pet Trainers" next to Hunter trainers. Use these two methods to train your pet.
I’ve seen some people running claw+bite on their cat’s. Is that the right play? I have always thought claw did more damage than bite , not sure why people are using both on their pets
Bite has a 10 second cooldown and it does more damage per focus than claw, so you want to use it on cooldown over claw. That means it is beneficial to have both Bite4 and Claw4 and use both for max damage. Bite on CD and Claw as your focus dump.
The cats in Barrens are lvl15ish. It should level fairly quickly if you take it to South Barrens and just kill mobs, or if you take it to WC or get a grp for another dungeon. I picked up mine when I was 25 and trained it to lvl25 the same day. Also, get Bite and Claw rank 4. To get them, you need to tame specific lvl25 mobs. I tamed a spider in Hillsbrad for Bite 4 and a Bear in Ashenvale for Claw 4. But I think it can be done with other mobs as well. Once you learned them, you can teach them to other pets. It’s a nice damage upgrade. You can have three pets by the way (2 standard + 1 slot you buy at Stable Master. Edit: You can also get Lightning Breath 3 by taming a lvl25 Cloud Serpent in 1k Needles, if you don’t have r3 yet.
Epic sword of course. But don't be an ass an need it over a warrior or ret. While it is technically also our BIS weapon, the vast damage improvement they get compared to us means we should grab it only if no 2hand melee class needs it.
I have the epic crossbow and last night a guy with significantly lower gear all around did significantly more damage running BM. Even with the CB, BM is just broken. I much prefer MM, but it’s hard to justify based on the numbers.
I don’t know what the hell this guy talking about but I have out dps’ed every hunter that has a cat raptor whatever with the wind serpent, don’t listen to this guy get a wind serpent all around crazy burst.
