Well he should start with the basics... MAtchup information ... TEching up etc. Many here me included had through the casting the perception Bisu was winning ... After looking at the video without the "casting" I realized that wasnt the case ... Bisu went kind of all in with mass of units but low tech... JD tech up and survived, outplayed him many moments and finally had enought units to attack back ... Also he harrased 5 a clock base and killed observers ... One of the basic of starcraft broodwar is mobility vs strong units and High tech units against many low tech units ... And of course money ... All things this guy just forgot, didnt know or didnt care... The problem is not that he casts this games, he is great in speaking and the people like to hear him, but the content and ignorance of those words is bad for starcraft players , maybe not for only viewers, but still ... If you have learned a little bit for starcraft broodwar, you know how much there is to learn, to practise, to accept, to understand, i will give you a example : Imagine you speak a certain language in there comes a guy, who shows you people using this language, speaking, writing, etc. and than starts to explain and say things about the grammar, pronunciation and who to use certain words ... and all of this is wrong, halftrue or just half knowledge... Same thing with a commentator of football wondering about the rules of soccer and making rules up... This may be a little to harsh, but i want to open that perspective so people including me, that dont understand the anger see from where it comes ... Epilog: He can do what he wants, if people want to consume his content they can, his replays are good ones, only one thing dont expect that this will make you in any way a better starcraft broodwar player, dont expect in depth explanation, if you want just to watch THIS IS YOUR CHANNEL.

wow this was such a beautiful game.. JD targeting down all the obs of bisu is the only reason he won this game.. that is such high level stuff. the targeting with hydra and scourge on the obs.. just beautiful
*Constructive Criticism:* Try to pay more attention to the minimap as well as pay closer attention to drops, for example Bisu's storm drop at 15:47. While you did catch it happening you failed to mention how after the first templar died the second got a storm off that nearly killed his entire drone at the main. My butt superclenched when it happened. The remedy to this problem: Cast more BW.
Great upload. I actually like it when you do zoom out every once in a while because I can get a full scope of the map and what's going on. Sometimes on normal view during small scale battles it's hard to see what part of the map you're on, but zooming out can show the different avenues of attack and escape, and the relationship between the two bases.
13:30 Bisoo makes the mistake of not attacking the drones with his surviving zealots >_< 17:45 What is with the dark swarm? All I saw for protoss were zealots and archons 19:45 Bisoo having trouble spending his resources? Wow... 29:00 - 29:30 Defiler Lurker is OP against everything Bisoo is sending. Time for air maybe? Reavers are working, but very slowly (maybe too slowly?)
Relating to what you said at about 2:15 I believe that those 5 minute aggressive games are still sometimes fun to watch, sometimes we get them in your "sneaky two fers"
Jaedong played brilliantly - his use of plague was superb, and this game show how good use of plague wins games. But in the end it was Bisus mistake that decided the game - at 22:00 he loses a critical base due to not having detection for lurkers!
@20:58 Technically it's because for the most part they don't die, their bodies are warped out before death. That's why Zealots, HT, and DT all have that weird warping energy blast effect kind of deal. Other things, such as robotics and vehicles, would be too complicated to repair on the field like Terrans can I guess.
Are you sure dude?? I'm pretty sure they die in the field. You can even listen to their "Death Moan" when they evaporate. I know Dragoons are machines, and thats why you can see the blue fluid and body when it dies. I don't know about HT and Zealots though. I'm pretty sure they just die. If they all got warped out then how would they loose the war? They would just recycle wounded Zealots with healed up Zealots and they would never loose *any* Protoss.
Dude wow. It seems you are right. I never knew that. I thought they just evaporated. Apparently they do evaporate upon death, but the evaporation animation you see in the game is them being warped back to aiur/shakuras. Then they decide if they can be healed or not. The zealots that can't be healed back to fighting strength are made into Dragoons. That it how they were able to get so many wounded into dragoon shells. If they didn't warp out at last second they would not have enough bodies to fill dragoons with! apparently they do evaporate upon death though. When Zeratul dies in the Starcraft2 cinema he evaporates away. They don't decompose like Humans. They are made mostly of energy so the body just evaporates. Interesting stuff. You weer right htough and I was wrong.
You guys remember Fenix, right? That's what he underwent, which is why halfway thru the protoss campaign he comes back as a Dragoon. I always had assumed that the idea behind no regen for protoss was the fact that they relied on warping everything into place, so it's as if the warp process would have to be completed again for the structure to be pristine and whole again. Of course it would make sense too if they just had field engineers, but it lets you appreciate the look of permanence that the protoss buildings have. They look like super-high tech alien structures that never were designed with adaptability in mind, they were made to do what they needed to do, not to be able to retreat by lifting off and moving around.
Feel really great tonight > just after watching Action taking Bisu down, here our Jaedong doing the same, thx again for Falcony to make so much fun to watch
I really don't now why everybody is always commenting on your BW knowledge. I mean yeah there's probably things to nitpick at if you're a hardcore BW fan but you seem at the very least competently knowledgeable. Most importantly your commentary is fun to listen to, you really have that "commentator" voice down pat and there's no awkward silences. I don't see anything to complain about, keep up the good work.
Hey, Falcon Paladin. I've been wanting to know your SC2 video settings because I love the way your game looks. Can you send a screenshot of them? Thank you very much.
hey can you leave the unit display panel on for future vids? I think this really enhances the viewing experience (at least for the BW games). Thanks for continuing to support the Broodwar and entire SC community!!
hydra just cost 1 supply, that the reason why zerg usually has less supply. the observers are keep getting killed by (with overloads and scourges/ hydras) Jaedong, he did great job on that and that is a big reason for his win.
@Falcon 1) you mention bisu is ahead. I disagree 2) when jeadong killed probe during 6mins mark. Bisu try to macro game with only gateway army and not teching 3) during this time jeadong is teching and not building army. That is how the the army count diff a lot. 4) bisu is on downturn after jeadong done on defiler even army size is high which mostly zealot with low tech. Zealot got a big weakness...plague 5) during thst time jaedong got 5 to 6 bases...bisu is on rss drought 6) bisu already have hard time to win at mid game after failed counter attack during jaedong teching and low army period. I do not think you notice that
No, he didnt ... I agree on your analysis... Bisu did a kind of all in strategy in earlier late to mid game, also i think Bisu tried to use the time window of JD teching up for defiller, etc. to kill him... At the end he didnt have enought high templars to kill the mass and kill more of the Hatcheries... JD barely destroyed the pushes at the bottom and at his expansions... Also Bisu had all obseveres in one group so JD could easily outmaneuver him ... Since Bisu decided to pressure him in a kind of all in, he didnt expand enought and couldnt destroy enoguht to prevend JD to make pressure for himself ...
Falcon, corsairs aren't a go-to for Protoss players because of their anti-muta abilities. Corsairs are made in every ZvP because they are so damn good at killing overlords and are generally great, quick tank-y scouts in the air. If corsair numbers get out of control, they can dive in for an overlord massacre that cripples the Zerg player.
it's funny how jaedong managed to win despite taking such huge blows since the early game. key were upgrades (he's had 3.3 lings with adrenal when bisu was still only 3.0) and the very uncarachteristic loss of observers by bisu.... had he not lost the obs when jaedong attacked his 4th it would have been another game.
Archons are actually affected by dark swarm. The direct hit misses but the splash damage still hurts so a zergling will win 1v1 against an archon under dark swarm.
Archons will do 6 damage under Dark swarm for a direct hit. I think they can deal it to multiple targets clumped up. So it will do 6 to the target and another 6 to any other targets that are around the original target. I'm not sure how many it can get at once but I know it can do 6 to 3 separate lings at once. Still not very much damage though. No way it will loose to a ling 1v1 though. No idea where you got that info. Archon has 350 shields lol. even doing 6 damage for an attack it still kills it in 7 hits. No way a ling can do 360+ damage in the time it takes 7 hits. An archon would probably loose to 4 lings under swarm though.
He kept getting slammed with those lurkers because he kept neglecting visibility with observers. Jaedong obviously noticed that Bisu's observer micro is bad so he made sure to push hard on him with the lurkers and scourge. I knew Jaedong would take the match after seeing Bisu just march his army a few times into mass lurkers without detection, then you notice he starts bringing an overlord and scourge every engagement. Amazing strategy from Jaedong.
Me to, mostly because of bad casting and iam not talking about speech, but about focusing the camera where it should be ... And inside about tech ... He missed the observer destruction, the protoss got denied his possibles expancions exampel base 5 a clock ... IT seems he doesnt know about basic zerg vs Protoss strategy... Teching up ... Something JD did all the time he got in distress... Bisu not so much Not enought knowledge about the match up ... And blabing about nosense despite important events occuring on the scree, game ...
He failed to take any of Jaedong's four gas bases out which gave Jaedong an economic advantage. I also wouldn't be surprised if JD was further ahead in tech. You have to remember that a zealot is the same cost as four zerglings. He also didn't get many really good storms off.
Falcon Paladin, if you want to do short matches just put dummy frames into video. Like if the match is 8 minutes make the video 28 minues or something like that. That's what NukeTheStars used to do.
yep... Caster missed basicly all important points of the game ... Also he babbels a lot of non sense instead of focusing on the game ... Still better than many other casters ...
i assume the fact that Protoss do not regenerate is a balance concern. each race has their own form of it i suppose. Terran has repair and medics, Zerg are all bio and can regenerate, and Protoss have shields (with both armor and shields having upgrades). idk just rambling thought. probably the same reason their building actions are different. T=occupied worker, Z=lose a worker, P=warp-in unoccupied worker.
they regenerate shields and can also use shield batteries, but yes, no way to come back to full hp (unless you build a dark archon and steal their medics) (but you still can't repair your mechanical units)

JD had massive army, all the minerals and gas supply he needed and was higher at his tech tree... Bisu had no army, problems with minerals supply, and specialy gas supply what he needed for high tech units and no expansion where to safely expand...
i think that it would be better if you watched the games before casting them, that way you know where the attacks are gonna be, since you lose a lot of skirmishes.

I'll see what I can do. :)
Check out their ASL semi finals game, it was absolute killer.
one of the best games I've seen. Incredible play.
Hey man where did you get those replays.?
I'm not relaly an expert on the Lore though. I know more about the game than the lore.
Idk TBH. I'd have to find a source.
Hey Falcon, youre improving in your casting.
It was 2 or 3 months ago i last watched your video.
Good one! keep it up man !
2:20 Was in Hero the zerg? Usually if a game ends early in a PvZ the Z wins lol
Very nice comback from Jaedon
Feel really great tonight > just after watching Action taking Bisu down, here our Jaedong doing the same, thx again for Falcony to make so much fun to watch
No problem!
This cast is almost two years old, and I hope and feel I've improved my BW knowledge a lot since then. :) Thank you!
Wow that was incredible. I want to see that completely from Jaedong's perspective, would prob be hard to follow though!
these are exceptionally entertaining
Thank you! I do my best!
23:37 nice split by Jaedong
Hey, Falcon Paladin. I've been wanting to know your SC2 video settings because I love the way your game looks.
Can you send a screenshot of them? Thank you very much.
Hit me up at falconpaladin at gmail dot com and let's discuss.
Best comeback I've ever seen
i always choose white color protoss too ! the color really raised up my mood
6:09 haha
Okay, so...if scourges do not do splash damage: how much does a scourge cost; how much do the corsairs and other "cheap" air cost?
Even though everything he says is wrong, I still love this guy.
at 11:29 jaedongs trying to get Bisus corsairs.. wish you focused on that at the time
how to get the replay UI like this?
It's just the default UI for StarCraft Remastered. You can hide different things by clicking the buttons on the right side.
loving zoom out perspective!!
You are the new HuskyStarcraft
hey can you leave the unit display panel on for future vids? I think this really enhances the viewing experience (at least for the BW games). Thanks for continuing to support the Broodwar and entire SC community!!
Zergling run-by 6:05 reminiscences of Carbot! lol
2018 Falcon voice is subtly different from 2021
Will watch falcon paladin till the end
The best Protoss player vs the best Zerg player this is gonna be EPIC
YO this deserves an epic tag haha
If he had the energy at 16:30-ish. He could have stormed the ovies and corsairs them!
hydra just cost 1 supply, that the reason why zerg usually has less supply. the observers are keep getting killed by (with overloads and scourges/ hydras) Jaedong, he did great job on that and that is a big reason for his win.
I want to hear 'My Life For Aiur' everytime.
Every time what?
The correct quote is "My Wife for Hire."
i really didn't understand why bisu tap out!!!
AY CARAMBA, I loved it
@Falcon
1) you mention bisu is ahead. I disagree
2) when jeadong killed probe during 6mins mark. Bisu try to macro game with only gateway army and not teching
3) during this time jeadong is teching and not building army. That is how the the army count diff a lot.
4) bisu is on downturn after jeadong done on defiler even army size is high which mostly zealot with low tech. Zealot got a big weakness...plague
5) during thst time jaedong got 5 to 6 bases...bisu is on rss drought
6) bisu already have hard time to win at mid game after failed counter attack during jaedong teching and low army period.
I jump around in your timeline of videos, so I don't know if you said it before or after this.
But you don't question the 'dong.
it's funny how jaedong managed to win despite taking such huge blows since the early game. key were upgrades (he's had 3.3 lings with adrenal when bisu was still only 3.0) and the very uncarachteristic loss of observers by bisu.... had he not lost the obs when jaedong attacked his 4th it would have been another game.
AY CARAMBA! 15:05
Archons are actually affected by dark swarm. The direct hit misses but the splash damage still hurts so a zergling will win 1v1 against an archon under dark swarm.
Good to know, thank you. :)
"its not over till the fat lady sings"
Wow i thought bisu had it for sure
Bisu not so much
Not enought knowledge about the match up ... And blabing about nosense despite important events occuring on the scree, game ...
appreciate it
Please explain ne, how bisu could lose this at the end so hard
He failed to take any of Jaedong's four gas bases out which gave Jaedong an economic advantage. I also wouldn't be surprised if JD was further ahead in tech. You have to remember that a zealot is the same cost as four zerglings. He also didn't get many really good storms off.
I think the discrepancy between units lost and units killed might me the consume of the defilers
Awesome game and cast by the way, loved it as usual
Good to know, thanks! And glad you enjoyed the cast.
great
What was that defence?wow what a comeback
E P I C
😮😮😮
appreciate the zoom out, lol
Actually a medic can heal a zealot/templar, even though it requires some exceptional circumstances, or a missclick.
Great matchup
Falcon Paladin, if you want to do short matches just put dummy frames into video. Like if the match is 8 minutes make the video 28 minues or something like that. That's what NukeTheStars used to do.
Yup, I have done that a few times. Just don't want to overdo it. :)
I like the high up view. We should have that for sc2. Lol
Holy shit the micro is insane
Bisu's expansion at 5 o'clock got repeatedly denied by a group of zerglings.
yep... Caster missed basicly all important points of the game ... Also he babbels a lot of non sense instead of focusing on the game ... Still better than many other casters ...
I wouldn't mind seeing some announced 5-minute games, as long as there is some interesting strategy and analysis.
i assume the fact that Protoss do not regenerate is a balance concern. each race has their own form of it i suppose. Terran has repair and medics, Zerg are all bio and can regenerate, and Protoss have shields (with both armor and shields having upgrades). idk just rambling thought.
probably the same reason their building actions are different. T=occupied worker, Z=lose a worker, P=warp-in unoccupied worker.
they regenerate shields and can also use shield batteries, but yes, no way to come back to full hp (unless you build a dark archon and steal their medics) (but you still can't repair your mechanical units)
dam it this is really good
What if Bisu deliberately let the Zerglings into his base so he could kill them?
🤔
the cost of that canon is 6 zerglings. They killed at least one drone and messed up mining time. Not worth it.
Wow
Need watch minimap and focusing on major event!
jaedong,wonderful forever,永远支持你!l'm zerg user
Jaedong is a zerg master.
Did anyone ever end up saying that its "All over bar the shouting"?
You mean "all over BUT the shouting?" Yes.

Ah, cultural difference. :)
@@FalconPaladin Us Aussies can be a bit weird. We still love competition though.
Apreciate it =))))
Of course!
我靠!!!!!!!!JD中场被打成那样最后居然赢了!? --!
Broodwar or the game where Zerg old 200 toss pop with 120 of their own XD
good stuff but watch the mini map a lil more keep it up
Wonder why Bisu GG so early? He could have managed that to come back. Strange
No. He had one mining base left and had lost most of his army. JD had 3 mining bases left and had a bigger army. Bisu was finished.
JD had massive army, all the minerals and gas supply he needed and was higher at his tech tree... Bisu had no army, problems with minerals supply, and specialy gas supply what he needed for high tech units and no expansion where to safely expand...
bisu didn't have near enough detection :(
it's because he was busy building other units out of his robotics facilities.
bisu made so many mistakes
i think that it would be better if you watched the games before casting them, that way you know where the attacks are gonna be, since you lose a lot of skirmishes.
Holy SH%$, Jaedong howww??
how this happen lol???? :D
SC:R looks so pretty
Bisu always have the worse observer micro for some reason
