Interesting Tip about Dark Swarm + Lurkers: While splash damage like Archons and Tanks can damage zerg units inside for reduced damage, if the unit is burrowed, a direct attack will completely miss even if it is splashed. This means if a Hydralisk is under dark swarm and is being hit by Archons or Tanks, it will eventually die, but lurkers are practically untouchable (which is often why archons may still engage ultras in Dark swarm in massive numbers, but never Lurkers). Lurkers even when burrowed CAN still die to the splash damage though, just not if they are directly targeted by it.

The fact PusaN lost it in the end is heartbreaking, because his aggression was just blazing and multitasking was insane. He just couldn't lose, it seemed.. But the game shows just how essential macro is in SC. GG man, a capital GG.
Would love to see you cast some of the Starleagues as they come out. A big part of BW is the storylines, so it would be cool to see you follow them. ASL S7 round of 24 is starting today! Not all the games of course, but semis and finals would be great.

In your list of Zerg counters to Archon I would put Queens, since their spawn broodling can target them similarly to how it can target Terran Mech units. He would have a Queen's nest anyways to get Hive, but I see it difficult to justify teching into Qs just to snipe one Archon every couple minutes as the ability recharges. Spawn is nowhere near as potent as plague and storm despite its great range, which I think is why we don't see it as often.
@@FortuneTellher Yeah queens in PvZ is basically if you really need to nuke templars, but not in competitive play. Archons are brutal to face. Going hydras means dodging storms and lurker DS is very stationary. The fact Savior managed to win without ultralisks is quite extraordinary

I have my reasons for these, if anyone wishes to know, just reply here. Infested Terrans also do full damage while under the Dark Swarm, instead of just Splash Damage. Zealots be returned to 80 HP and 80 Shields. In exchange the base Movement Speed of the Zealot is slightly increased. And the Scourge should be slightly faster in speed, while the Sunken Colony's attack should be unaffected by Dark Swarm. Perhaps have the Attack Upgrade of the Ultralisks be +4? Also, when a Scourge hits, the Unit automatically dies, instead of having a delay in the death animation. The Devourers have an Attack Range of 7. The Scout has a Ground Attack value of 10 and Air Attack of 30, reduced Warping in time to 60 seconds, while gaining Detector for a Range of 6, after Researching Apial Sensors, at a cost of 200 Minerals and 200 Vespene Gas. The Scout's Sight Range is increased from 10 to 12 too with this Upgrade. The Scout's Grav Thruster's Speed Upgrade makes the Scout move slightly faster than it does now, at the same speed as the Scourge. The Overlord's Evolution, Antennae, costs 100 Minerals and 100 Vespene Gas. How about Spawn Broodlings costing 125 Energy? And of course lifting the object limiter for the Valkyrie. Finally, the Science Vessel's EMP Shockwave's Area of Effect Range be increased, and the Medic's Heal rate decreased. Now, the one implementation I am least certain with: having the Ghost's Attack improved to 20, with an Attack Upgrade of +2. The Ghost should be slightly faster too.

Back when Zerg had the most OP spell casters & overlords. Infinite dark swarm energy that makes your units immune to all non-melee attacks. Also have flying supply depot’s that count as observers & drop ships. 😂😂😂 oh, & don’t forget nydus network’s that can transport the entire Zerg army (& drones) across the map to any of your bases in seconds.
Savior had to be a much better player to win this.. It seems that zerg just has to try their best to stay alive and bleed out the protoss.. You can't straight up beat the protoss, they are too strong. He was doing everything he could do as zerg and he was still losing all the engagements with multi prong attacks and setting traps..
Zerg style in Broodwar has always been about quantity over quality. Zerg in SC2 can go toe to toe with Protoss late game, it's not the case for BW Zerg. Still, Protoss in BW produces units very slow compared to SC2 due to no Warp gate.

Pretty sure archon, like reavers and probes counts as robotic and thus not broodlingfriendly

i mean, overlords are also a liability as seen with corsair harass. defilers are definitely broken as hell but so is irradiate, storm, stasis, etc
