Lockheed F-16C Fighting Falcon USAF 182nd FS, Texas ANG, JC Wings 1:72 Diecast Model Review

- The 182nd Fighter Squadron (182nd FS) is a unit of the Texas Air National Guard's 149th Fighter Wing located at Kelly Field Annex, Joint Base San Antonio, Texas. The 149th is equipped with the F-16C/D Fighting Falcon.
In 1947, the United States Army Air Force (USAAF) officially became the United States Air Force (USAF) and in 2017, several USAF units painted selected aircraft in commemorative paint schemes. The 149th Fighter Wing selected F-16C #86-0321 to receive this colorful paint scheme based on a WWII P-47 Thunderbolt scheme from 1944.
Seen here in 1:72nd scale diecast by JC Wings is the Lockheed F-16C Fighting Falcon from USAF's 182nd Fighter Squadron of the 149th Fighter Wing, of the Texas Air National Guard, #86-0321, Joint Base San Antonio, TX, USAF for the 70th Anniversary in 2017. It is a pretty good looking model.

I really like your reviews. I am relatively new to collecting die cast plane models and it is nice to see the differences between the manufacturers. The lack of a stand and especially the lack of a mount for the belly tank with gear up is a let down to know that JC Wings let that happen. Still, it is a very nice model. 🤠👍
Thank you for the kind words and I am glad that hopefully the videos are helping in some way. I have been learning a lot long the way myself, even some manufactures are the same models as they share molds, just different liveries and at times prices too!! I have only been collecting aircraft and military vehicles for the last 3 or 4 years myself, cars I have had for 20 years,haha. When I started to collect the military models, I tried to find videos to help but there was nothing around that gave me the info I wanted. So figured once I started buying models I'll do video's of what I was trying to find in the hopes it may be useful to others. And the channel has sort of snow balled from there,haha...and so has my diecast spending ,haha Thanks again for watching and happy hunting for you models!!!
@@heavymetaldiecast I have been a model train (HO scale) collector for 40-years now, but only in the last few years have I discovered 1/200 airliners and 1/72 military die cast planes. I now have several Gemini Jets, JC Wings, and InFlight 747's and one Hobby Master E-2C Hawkeye. You actually have my next acquisition in your intro, the Jolly Roger Super Hornet. Hobby Master has one arriving soon. Very nice! But of course, many more are calling my name! 🤠👍

They have wings in their name, but all their models are grounded unless you want to pay extra for a stand for inflight, the irony 🤣

Does the latest JC Wings have good quality? Compared to Panzerkampf, which is better?
Actually JC Wings have been ok with their recent offerings for me. I haven't had luck with the few Panzerkampf models I have bought. The Hind I got had no inflight nose wheel, a rafale I just did a video on, (uploading it as I write this) had some fitment issues, also wrong fuel tank included. Also the overall light weight of the Panzerkampf always feel a little funny!! Both companies have their share of minor issues. Me personally am prefering the JC Wings models as they are a little cheaper for me to buy, feel heavier and are pretty well done overall apart from some fitment issues, which the Panzerkampf models also have!! Just my experience so far!!! And only my opinion of coarse!! Thanks for watching the video!!
@@heavymetaldiecastThe thing that makes me like JC Wings is their livery and box art.. they are very beautiful compared to other brands, I also try to think positively with their latest products. hopefully next year I buy JC Wings and get a good fitment..
