Eric Roberts and Mickey Roarke made you feel like they weren’t acting. Then I saw Star 80 and can’t believe it isn’t considered one of the best films of all time. Fosse, Roberts and Hemingway were all amazing in so many ways.

this was amazing, as is Eric Roberts, able to play those doomed tortured characters and make us understand them. As he did in Star 80 and Runaway Train, going order his book right now

another great guy, Eric inspired me to practice karate, his role on best of the best and the sequel rocks, he IS the guy, and then he was an angel on this film the prophecy, and of course the specialist, that was THE MOVIE in the nineties. You ROCK Eric!

What a great conversation! So sympatico definitely helps open up the details. Each subsequent podcast reveals Michael's growth as a conversationalist rather than the far-too-quick and all too brief "interviews" that dominate the airways. Each new podcast feeds our hunger for those yet to come. Eric Roberts is quite open and comfortable with his experiences and insights not only concerning his role as Actor but also in sharing the relationships he's experienced with other actos, directors, and producers. Maybe we'll see Eric and Michael in a movie or two yet.

Wow cool seing two actors i've actually met in real life (at two seperate conventions) just having a great conversation. Now Michael Biehn has been my hero since i was a kid (Terminator but especially Aliens was a huge influence). Now Eric Roberts is a legend but check out when he played a serial killer at death row on HBOs "OZ" what a performance.

    What an episode, OMG 🤪!
I don't know even how to start! As I said every program better than the last!!
The first one, WHAT A FUCKING GENERATION OF ACTORS AN ACTRESSES BORN IN 50's!!! I think you are not concious HOW MUCH IMPORTANT YOU WERE AND ARE FOR MY GENERATION, born in 70's and 80's!! We grow up with the video player and In video clubs!! We were the first gen having an ENTIRE CINEMA WORLD FOR US!! And You, GUYS AND GIRLS, were in the covers in our VHS 📼 that we rented every week! Can you imagine how much you were part of our lives!! For that We are in lines and for that I LOVE THIS SHOW and the conversation between you!
Bob Fosse! He was a Genius really. The director and choreographer of ALL THAT JAZZ (what a masterpiece). The anecdote about Peter Bogdanovich didn't know it. I saw Star 80 some years ago and it was a very dark story just as P B looked to me always.
MICKEY ROURKE! I totally Agree with Eric and Michael. He is a HUGE ACTOR. He was stoned me with his Motorcycle Boy. You can imagine!! Barfly, that they talked about, is one of the best acting I've ever seen. But i was really bad with his change. You know. Watching him in The Wrestler was a kind of Reconciliation with him.
Runaway train is a Great Movie about human condition and totally Breathless.
But THE Movie with Eric Roberts I mostly remember Is THE AMBULANCE. I like so much that Movie. I missed it.
Finally I went to IMDB To catch up and I see that he has 748 credits 🤪🤪 WTF!! There are soooo life to do that!! How?
And one thing!!! OF COURSE WOMEN ARE THE BOSSES. What would you do without us! 🤗

Goodness, I remember the lead up to the first Expendables back in the day. Back in like 1008, 2 years before it was made, and I followed all the viral marketing up until the premiere. I was disappointed that Beihn didn't get involved, but until today, I never knew that Stallone threw him under the bus with words like "Actors that aren't getting work anymore". I only remember Sly saying he was thinking of putting together a "Homecoming of 80s action tough guys". What a missed opportunity.

    • @jeffreygouse802

The part that perturbed me about that comment wasn't that he felt for Paul...it's that he said he DIDN'T feel bad for Dorothy--the murder victim! Why not feel bad for BOTH? Now, I'm coming into this knowing nothing about that story or movie, but it seemed pretty cold to not empathize with a young woman who was brutally murdered. Just very odd.

    • @billlozier5551

@@jeffreygouse802 You're right, it goes without saying that Dorothy was the real victim. Murdered in a most disgusting way.Paul was a complete psycho.

    • @OnlyThe1Son
      @OnlyThe1Son Місяць тому

      @@bbqnetwork8536
I think he made it clear.
He disliked Peter as did many people! Peter wasnt well liked by many. Plus , his actions in regards to women shows he was a predator!
First Cheating on this wife with a young 19 year old Cybill Shepherd! now Cybill also slept with Bridges on this film... so she was obviously getting around and PETER wanted her for himself. the GUY was married with children! and his WIFE was working on the film.. how do you think she felt? he was doing it right under her nose! and Cybil must have known too obviously.
she was young.. ok.. but PETER is mid 30s a family man, that's a real shitty thing to do...
then.. Dorothy.... so after Peter got tired of Cybil.. probably cheated on her too.. they break up now Cybil is almost 27. and Peter is 40 something.
and now he wants another young GIRL.. a playmate.. and.. she is married. does he care? NO.. did he care that he was married 10 years prior to the production designer and has two kids with her and starts cheating on her with his female lead? NO.. he didnt.. the guy is a scumbag!!
so now.. PAUL SNIDER is obviously upset.. pissed off. he is also a young guy.. not even 30... Hugh wanted her too.. probably got her.. Peter wanted her... PAUL was married to her.. many men wanted her.. paul was married to her! so you have a famous hollywood director, hugh Hefner owner of playboy and a nightclub owner husband
and they are all after the same woman.. Peter had no business going after her. but the predator on young girls that he is he went for her.. because he had to have her.
so he slanders Hugh and tells everyone he tried to rape her. The driver of the car that night kept his mouth shut.. so who knows.. was it rape? or a welcome to playboy casting couch type thing and probably slept with him..
anyway. Peter is a scumbag.. after Dorothy dies.. what does this sick man do? he goes after his younger sister! again ANOTHER 19 year old...
girls he can manipulate! 30 years younger than him!!!! many men find that behavior disgusting. he obviously has a fetish for young girls..
now.. Michael probably understands PAUL. so do others.. here is a guy married to his girl. madly in love with her.. married her... and he has this hollywood director trying to steal her.. hugh hefner possibly raping her... and he is young.. not mentally stable.. emotional.. confused.. probably drugs involved.. and killed her out of rage and then kills himself because he knows he will fry for this. and what does Peter do? this is where maybe Michael is wondering .. Did Peter start saying Paul was a scumbag, a dope head, a pimp.. a bad guy... all the press landed on him.. we cant believe the press they create narratives all the time and like Eric said, Peter rings Eric and says, MAKE MY STORY of Dorothy.. yeah probably gonna be full of lies... that makes him out as a nice guy and hugh and Paul as evil..
