SCP-019 - Monster Pot

- Опубліковано 6 січ 2025
- SCP 019 is a Keter Class anomaly also known as Monster Pot.
SCP-019 appears to be a very large ceramic vase.
Periodically, entities emerge from SCP019. Collectively, these are known as SCP-019-2. The entities vary in many aspects, but tend to be small, vaguely humanoid (though they may have animaloid features), and extremely hostile. They often choose to attack with teeth or claws. Although fairly delicate (also, surprisingly, flammable), they are reasonably strong and pose a considerable threat in large numbers.

"Well, they'll all be dead in a couple of days and then we can try again."
So she survived almost getting devoured by millions of tiny monsters and could only think how they'll just start over again ... Just a normal day at the foundation
Yeah, just need to turn in the paperwork to have it changed from Euclid to Keter, get a cleaning team in, request some more personnel, change the extermination and disposal method to something else every so often, and, oh yeah, maybe let her former colleague's next of kin know about their death, or give them amnestics, whatever the foundation's policy is when it comes to that sort of thing. Just another day at the foundation... Or for the rest of us, "Holy s***! That was insane! How could you be so freaking calm after that?!?" But, y'know, that's why we're not members of the SCP foundation.
Underrated
What was that? It's only 3 hours?
I don't care it's still underrated
Because Dr Bright isn't a soy boi.
Yes.
@@sardonicspartan9343 that wasn't dr bright
"She dashes to the door, giving it all she's got."
*SLOWLY SHUFFLING*
They animate events slower than real time in order to make the story line up with the narration and also be easier to follow
@@johnsuarez1404 They couldve made the hallway a loop and have the researcher quickly run through it over and over until they were ready to reveal the exit part. Its literally not that difficult to think of a solution that wouldve made the narration more accurate.
I kind of like how this one's... surprisingly low-key. No world-ending threat, no big cosmic deity, just a jar full of ravenous chihuahuas.
They're pugs!!!
Yeah, like they don't spread outside the facility at the end. Dr Light reacts pretty calmly to the horde of 019s, saying they'll die in a couple days. So even if they reach ludicrous numbers, there's a limit to how far they can spread.
@@partofthetribe3277 same thing
@@NovaEmberlyn lol
@@partofthetribe3277its a rat pug, what are rat pugs? chihuahahs or whatever their spelling is
I'm just wondering if this is the one time they let Dr Bright use the chainsaw cannon?
**Millions of Pug headed rats descend on the SCP**
Dr Bright: My Time Has COME!!!! **loads chainsaw cannon**
Me: you can’t make a chase scene both suspenseful and hilarious.
SCP explained: hold my beer
Since these creatures evolve over time, it makes you wonder. Could they evolve to kill SCP 682. Or could they be used to at least feed 682?
what if they ARE 682?
@@erubianwarlord8208
Can’t be. 682 adapts quickly to enemy attack, 019-2 adapts slowly. Plus 019-2 is vaguely mammalian while 682 is reptilian.
>feed 682
found the newbie
@@jacksongibbs8998 if a 019-2 were to adapt enough to survive longer then a few days then it could potentially evolve in all manner of ways even into a form like 682's
@@erubianwarlord8208
Maybe, but just because they could evolve to mimic the abilities of 682 doesn’t mean that they will. Nor does this mean that they are 682.
Besides the millions of rats attacking at the end.
This is a pretty *_calm and safe_* S.C.P
For now
Infinite animals that are combinations of my favorite 2 animals, Rats, and Pugs
So calm and safe he is keter
It's definitely at least Euclid and potentially keter if the creatures evolve too far and/or develop increased longevity. It is actively trying to break out constantly and is capable of adapting to containment methods. While it is fairly easy to contain while spitting out a single visible, flammable instance each hour, it's impossible to know what tricks it could manifest or when it will spawn a massive hoard.
The way it suddenly adapted to sneak out of containment suggests that it might even be controlled by an intelligent will and can somehow learn from its failures. If this were a matter of random mutation, you'd think that there would be more variety in the creatures prior to the invisible one and even the invisible one would probably have attacked someone rather than sneaking out to chew wires.
So I'm actually an archaeologist (doing CRM work but ya know, still an archaeologist) and at first hearing the framing narrative I was thinking, "well this is silly, we don't just reach into pots we can't see into without thinking about it," and then I started actually thinking about it-- I had a scorpion crawl up inside my pant leg (didn't know at first) and I grabbed it in the fabric and squished it and shook it out, had a few moments to be like "oh wow that could have been bad, this one is small and those are the more venomous ones and I'm a good 3-4 hours away from a hospital" and then I just got back to work. Like, hey, I didn't get stung so it's all good. Then a few days after that I was crawling around in a rock shelter to get the soil for sifting and despite being terrified of spiders, I didn't even think about the fact that there were probably tons of spiders hanging out in there.
Also, to identify bone I regularly just stick my tongue to it to see if it sticks (bone will slightly stick to your tongue) without even thinking about what I might be ingesting so yeah, I would probably go sticking my hand into a giant pot, though I might try shining a flashlight in first.
And I would probably not lean a ladder against it because that could break or scrape it up and that would suck.
You lick random bones? Is that even safe for you or does it affect the bones? Curious
I guess after some time of doing the same job, you get used to the danger
@@CronusVelox well they're most likely to be animal bones. If we find human bones, we have to immy stop and call the police, even if we know for a fact they are hundreds of years old, just to cover ourselves and go through the right channels.
Plus, when we're encountering things that we think might be bones but aren't positive about, we're typically excavating them from a test unit, so they're already covered in dirt, a little spit isn't gonna really harm them at that point. As for my safety, I typically make sure to wipe my tongue off after testing, and I don't need to do it all that often since I can be pretty certain if I have a bone based on other cues (visual, the feel of it, etc) and I only do it if I am not 100% certain.
@@USELESSDCK Yeah, like I said, I'm in CRM which basically involves me going out and hiking in areas where work needs to be done, so I end up climbing up and down cliffs multiple times a day. You kind of just get used to it after a while.
@@Deidara525 Very interesting! Thanks for your insight!
I think it's a product of not having the time to construct long unique backgrounds and not wanting to do a Hanna Barbara style hallway, but the slow running characters do in these is always kind of funny. Looping background animations are a bit corny, but they might be the way to go.
The best part is the round mouths and swinging uvula when they scream. Kills me every time.
As often as they produce content. Its fine enough for me.
In my country, we have our own version of pot monsters. We called them "Sigben" which is said to come from the unbaptised souls of dead babies. They live in a clay pot where they feed on small animals or people. It is claimed that there are some people who owns and commands one of these monsters...
I always enjoy learning about other mythologies/ beliefs or local legends.
I guess we know what inspired this anomaly then
Religion is weird.
Some believe it was Goodluck to have one of these vases. It's from the Philippines
always thought of sigbin as the filipino version of chupacabras
Thank you for doing a lesser-known SCP! I love learning about ones I’ve never seen, and I really enjoy the way your channel presents them! 👍🏼
They're adorable though
Dr. Light must have been a professional football player before joining the Foundation, with an accurate, twitch-reaction catch and throw like she demonstrated at 4:52 lmfao
Someone make it canon that the "rats mixed with pugs" be classified as "Rugs".
But what about “Pats”??
"Puts" is pretty good.
Prats
"So the resorted to flamethrowers" is by far my favorite line
Myyy Pot MONSTER!!! love that show!!
I think I saw one of those critters sitting in a lady's purse down in the city.
I like that the running animations are... Exactly the same speed as walking animations. Brilliant.
I LOVE YOU’RE ANIMATIONS ITS SO INTERESTING. I LIVE HOW YOU GUYS MAKE THEM HAVE EMOTIONS.. they look made and everything haha. I really do watch all of you’re videos. No matter how long they are
She was like, "Yep, just an average Tuesday on the foundation."
At the start of the video - “oh they aren’t so bad. Sure they are dangerous but they look easy to contain.”
At the end - “my god they evolve”
That's not a monster pot...
*That's an awfully hot coffee pot.*
Watch this go famous ;)
See? That's a nice one.
@@Dr.C.Shadow Thanks! Your jokes are very funny too :)
I don’t get it

i love the consistancy of the uploads i always forget u guys upload new vids super early on the weekends
A 682 019 cross test would be really interesting, as they both seem to have adaptive abilities.
Yeah, but 019 has very limited and slow adaptability, give them a few days together and maybe something will happen with 019
@@wiiblii8584 or just throw 682 into the pot and see what happens
@@Logan9312 could it even fit?
@@wiiblii8584
Chop 682 into pieces and then toss in the pieces? Plus, given no one could see inside the vase and it can generate thousands or millions of those things, maybe it has a pocket dimension?
@@johnnygyro2295 and then we get a 682 that can generate millions of mini 682, great
It's funny that Dr. Vaux thinks of Star Trek since he ends up dying like a typical red shirt.
can we all appreciate how fast DR.LIGHT was in 9:59
Have they ever tried putting that vase in with 682? Maybe it would produce so many creatures it would overwhelm 682 and since it can't be killed it would be busy fighting off those creatures forever and they'd be so busy trying to kill it they wouldn't escape!?
SCP-682 will prob just adapt to it and then kill them faster than it can regenerate.
Or worse 682 and 019 decodes that this is a small room to fight in than ....mass containment breaches for the thousandth time hah
Both skips adapt to their opposition, with 682 adapting a lot quicker. Odds are that 682 would easily overcome the threat and become marginally more powerful in the process. In the worst case, the evolutionary arms race will accelerate the adaptation of both making both objects significantly more difficult to contain.
Don't need any more evolving monsters, damnit! 682's enough! *Takes a sledgehammer to the pot*
This jar might just be an ancient containment device for an indestructible keter-level monster rather than a monster factory. Right now, the threat is manageable. Breaking an SCP may neutralize it, but it can also make things much worse.
@@Nerdnumberone Until the author tells me to put down this sledge, I'm going through with it. Plus this is a series one SCP, not likely.
9:15 what a way to go
There has to be a part 2 soon, right? It was just getting good. It's like another SCP-682. Adaptive. Wait, maybe. SCP-682 got killed by SCP-178 in another universe because there was too many of them. Maybe, the adaptive Monster Pot can finally defeat the adaptive lizard. Although, they would need to bring 682 to the pot as it seems it will just be too much work to bring the pot to it.
They are so cute though 😍 also wish more episodes were like this, in a lab dissecting the creatures
If these guys made a podcast or movie I WOULD WATCH THEM ALL
Wow, these video's are getting better and better. I really changes my mood for the better.
scp-682 and scp-019 cross test would be interesting.
The creatures: attack en masse, killing everyone including her research partner and nearly killing Dr. Light
Dr. Light: "Oh no! Anyway"
Not sure why no one thought of this but, are they safe to eat?
Seems to be a perfect solution to world hunger. Spawns and dies a couple of days later.
Damn, this scientist has no sense of emergency. She's shuffling slower than my Grandma with her walking cane xD
Im always surprised when pugs breathe. This is nothing new😅
only listening to this video makes it sound so terrifying, but the minute i saw one of those sad puppy critters all the horror disappeared they are so goofy omg
Why has nobody mentioned this before? Using SCP Cain, who has damage reflect, we can finally put the hard to destroy reptile at it's end along with any other SCP that might be considered to deadly to survive.
Every attempt to neutralize 682 has been ineffective at best. Most of the time the creature gets more powerful and/or causes a disastrous containment breach, costing multiple lives.
That's a smart artifact. If someone tries to steal it, it produces those hybrids to protect itself.
Probably one of the least items of a museum that won't get stolen by robbers.
"This belongs in a musuem!"
"No, it belongs in a S.C.P. Foundation Containment Site.
Been waiting for this one. BTW I've really been enjoying your animations, narration and overall concept of explaining these anomalys.
This scp reminds me of the red pool.
I love rats and pugs! These hybrids are kinda cute ngl
I've never understood why no one has made a scp movie, or even a anthology series involving different worse case scenarios with well known and unknown scps
Dr. Light is a fun character. I haven't heard a story about her in a hot minute.

Me: * Inhales deeply *
Also, me: *"DO NOT STICK YOUR ARM OR ANY OTHER BODY PARTS INTO THE UNKNOWN!!!!!"*
Great another scary and weird SCP. Love it!
It would be terrifying if it wasn't so adorable 😂
Nice work
why not keep it locked up in a total vacuum? that should kill them as soon as they get out.
You got a ponit
Another classic favorite 😍 👌
So a horde of killer pug like creatures, yep it's just what I feared they're killing people with cuteness, nibbles and cuddles XD lol
Boom new SCP Idea, a Pug that can regenerate infinitely, and each separate mass of cells removed from it (including shed hair) generates another instance of the anomaly with less powerful regeneration every clone
What happens if you smash the pot with a sledgehammer.
This was one of the first SCP that I read.
Hello, I am the earliest, I am your great fan and I am intrigued by this SCP!😊😊
What why are you sticking your arm in!? Ancient artifact and you're gonna stick your arm in???
how does dis dude animate things faster than demon slayer can get season 2?
HE LITTERALY UPLOADS DAILY
TAKE A BREAK
i like how none of them think of shining a flashlight down the vase
“As she accelerates to…” **continues running really slow**
They are absolutely adorable change my minde
I hope we get to see more of Dr. Light Since she is the researcher in charge of managing MTF alpha nine
I absolutely love your videos. The quality is just 👌. I can't wait to see if you'll do SCP-3288, the aristocrats. ♥️
Dr. Light: But is was me. DR. BRIGHT!!!
Should totally introduce this SCP to SCP 682. Only concern is that 682 will probably brake the vase. Maybe the foundation has portal technology and can attach one to the vase’s opening and make it send the pugs to 682.
9:46
She literally runs as slow as a garden snail
“They’ll all be dead in a couple days and we can try again...”
Or are they?? Dun dun dunnnnn
Anyone else think these creatures are adorable?
It may be dangerous but dang that's a nice vace
The first creature. He says "a creature that is a mixture of a rat and a pug" and I just screamed "A RUG"
At last one of my favorite scps
hope this one gets another episode
Damn that dog do be looking Hella cute😂
Joke btw
I want to see those things go up again SCP-682, though they probably won’t kill it it would be interesting to see.
This might be the perfect match for 682 to go up against, 1 giant murderous lizard who won't stop evolving vs an infinite army of tiny murderous creatures that won't stop evolving, and just like the lizard getting killed/taking damage is how they evolve
Then 019 becomes the new 682 or 682 becomes way stronger.
Then we'll put scp 420-j through the clockworks on very fine and give him the real monster pot
You should do the branches of the foundatikn
love your vids
I kind of wonder why they don't try plugging it up. That would keep it contained (since burying it apparently did the job before) and they could just take the lid off whenever they wanted to experiment with it
Damn, no wonder pot of greed was banned.
BINGUS POT IS REAL!
I'm wondering, when will you make a video about the poll you made to let us talk about our thoughts about SCP-096 origins?

I thought this was going to be about a bong that smoked you.
How can anything so cute be so deadly?
That was the question the researchers asked themselves after the incidents of Builder Bear happened...
Welcome to the world of SCP
If this is an actual question, in the SCP Univers, 2+2 doesn't equal 4, 2+2 equals 10, just keep your mind open and know the fact that the usual rules of physics and science don't apply here

I wonder if there is any SCP that could eat the hard to kill reptile in and out to bits , not leaving a single peace of it
I want to see a part 2 of this...
Can you try understanding the reptile , like why it resents all entities , what can we do to pacify it, why is it Ill tempered , forming peace is sometimes what you need to do
hey, this was released on my birthday!
if they could evolve then there is a chance that they could have a possibility of making them friendly. they could have some testing with 999

One doesn’t experience self transcendence, the illusion of self only dissipates-🎈
9:50 Mobile Task Force Epsilon-9 designated Fire Eaters and Mobile Task Force Nu-7 designated Hammer Down have arived to facility. All seciurity personell is ment to help in efforts to recontain anomallies, all non-combatnt personell is orderd to head to breach shellters.
So this explains where all the monsters of legend came from… and where they went.
Atleast partially. Is there a Hydra jar? Or were the varying beasts simply highly evolved versions of these same creatures?
Or it could be Sarkic in origin, from during the dying days of the Mekhanite Empire… a source of both free food, and an endless wave of flesh to drown ones enemies in… and with that wave constantly evolving to counter your enemies weaponry and tactics. A potent weapon indeed.
If only this Dr. Light had a Super Fighting Robot with her...
If they can EVOLVE I wonder what more abilities they will gain if we get a sequel?
