SCP-4840-B - The Demon Lancelot
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 лют 2022
- SCP 4840 B is a Keter Class anomaly also known as The Demon Lancelot.
SCP-4840 is a large, ancient, abandoned city floating roughly 7.8km3 above an empty region in the Russian arctic. The architecture of SCP4840 suggests that, while the city appears to predate any known civilization, SCP 4840 was constructed using advanced techniques and materials.
SCP-4840-B is a massive, vaguely humanoid entity that lies unmoving in the ruins of the Temple of Sunset.
SCP 4840 B has a human torso ending in six legs and six severely distended arms, each of which ends in a rough metal clasp affixed to a chain connecting to a large iron flail at its end. SCP4840B also bears markings consistent with those found on SCP-2254, which appear to be some kind of sign or sigil6.

I can’t even imagine how Seth must feel. A crown given to him caused all the evil to happen. I can’t even imagine the amount of guilt I’d feel
Yea, since it all began at the beginning.
And how it arose from such an idle request. Just his innocent fascination with how the stars looked. Had he just not asked or been denied, things wouldn’t have gone that way, but that’s the benefit of hindsight and gaining wisdom over time
It is truly a tragic feeling. Seth believes that all the turnoil, death, destruction, and all evil that has ever been committed in the world was all his fault. If he hadn’t asked for a star, than the slow corruption of his father and the betrayal of his brothers, along with all the other horrible events would have never happened.
Talk about heavy. Hopefully the foundation will be able to help him.
The Crown has been found. Locked away by a group long forgotten, even by its supposed successer. It's existence and meaning in our land remains questionable. A group in little numbers, capable of containing Gods. All as a little department of abnormalities 👁.
I appreciate that in the middle of this Theogony-level cosmic web of explanation, it goes out of its way to say "Wait, the Arthurian Lancelot?" and then go "Nope, completely different." A humorous swerve I smiled at. Sometimes you need jokes like that in pieces like this.
There were 5 gods, but the 5th is never talked about, but is described once as being on a mural. It is also heavily hinted that the creator deities were Mechaine and Yaldaboth.
nonono, audapaupadopolis
It's stated in the article that the fifth god is the god of the fifthists: SCP 3125.
Corect
@@awesomesauce8216 makes sense as in the mural it is displayed as the so many eyes pillar
Canon is fluid, so you're correct, and incorrect simultaneously
I definitely want this to be a full series
Please
Go watch TES then
Me too Paul
Ahh that’s why King Arthur was so successful he had a SCP
No different Lancelot more arms and a lot less flamboyant
@@zEr-ne5ri idk if your joking but just in case R/WOOOOOOOOSHHHHHHHHHH
Sugma
Well his wife cheated on him tho
@@smelk4774 no literally the old man literally says nope different Lancelot
The Kactusverse is no doubt one of the best and most incredibly written canons in the SCP Universe. The many connections to other SCPs and/or entities, the way it incorporates both religion and mythology into a story of the ancient world and how all life on Earth started, tells stories of prosperity, greed, corruption, betrayal, destruction, and regret, makes this canon one that should definitely be given a read!
Link please.
That was so sad at the end. Really heartbreaking. Great story. And well presented! Thank you!
And there’s only more to come, as this is just one portion of the story of the ancient world in the Kactusverse Canon. Next is The Demon Hector and The Dread Titania.
I gotta applaud the author for this one. They really know how to make a story that's befitting of the SCPs involved in it: One that's complexly fantastical, and only makes sense if you don't think about it. Just like the SCP Multiverse itself.
Able: "I shall form armies and take my father's crown by force if I have to." *proceeds to be locked up in what's now SCP-076-1*
Cain: "My intellect shall be my weapon. The people will hear my voice and say that I deserve my father's crown." *proceeds to be exiled and gain cybernetics*
Seth: "You know, not to toot my own horn here, I did ask for it and Dad made it happen, but did none of those idiots realize that our reality warping dad still needs to sleep?
Whatever. Yo, Harrian? Want an interdimensional star crown? I'll name you Apollyon, too!"
Some eons later...
SCP-076-2: "Seth! It's your older brothers. We just wanna talk!"
SCP-4840-A: "Go away! I'll talk when I can personally ask God for forgiveness."
SCP-073: "He's with us!"
SCP-4840-A: "That's not God! That's fucking Methuselah! How the fuck did Methuselah convince you and the Foundation that he was God?!"
Hahaha 😂😂
XD
well now i can't help but picture Methuselah in the middle of both Cain and Able and near some SCP agents, looking straight down like "...Damn it Seth.."
DJ Kaktus is by far my favourite contributor to the SCP archives, his writing is fucking fantastic
Got one thing to say after this: Holy shit that's one hell of an origin story for the old man
This puts up a question though: what would happen if the foundation somehow reunited Cain, Able and Seth?
@Filipineboi watch the video smh
@Filipineboi not going to spoil
I feel like able would try to kill Seth
@Filipineboi it only shows you didn't watch the video 😆😆
I’m honestly working on an SCP that will make that happen
Part two of this SCP is just as amazing as the first one. There amount of detail to other SCPs and deities in the mythos is astounding.
Day 221 of asking the O5 to use SCP-1968 to create a universe in which 682 doesn't exist.
Unfortunately cant happen. 682 is a fundamental part of existence and cant get destroyed no more than reality itself without major consequences
Man this SCP just cut straight to the point. But I must ask, did he pick up a stick and start kicking everyone’s ass like Lancelot did in legend?
Small question:
What if you wrote the formula for the "unknowable number" onto scp-682? I don't think it's going to kill 682 (because we'll, yknow) but what's going to happen?
You know that’s most of a cross test with 682 they are flipping through idea after idea and nothing and you keep flipping over that nothing and you keep hopping that somewhere under all of that nothing is something that will kill 682
@@zEr-ne5ri
"have I ever told you the definition of insanity?"
since it knows what it does, it would probably shedding its skin with the numbers on it, and only its skin would dissapear, and the entirety of the body would remain intact
That sounds like a horrifying idea considering how 682 can absorb these anomalies, that could give it the power to put it on any surface and disintegrate it with ease, or even worse, just gain the disintegration powers outright.
@@Dr.C.Shadow no no different reference
Ah, the second part of the story from SCP-4840. Let's go, mates!
Got the feeling that this video will expain why SCP-4840 is classified as Keter...
Yes.
And so much more than what you can probably think.
It's Keter, because it is hard to contain a flying city
@@karpfisch_1499 Not really. If anything, a flying city is easy to contain because it not going anywhere and always in the same spot. Keter for a different reason.
@@DarkReturns Is it because of the gigantic demon warlord asleep there with a charming name?
Not gonna lie, that last dialect made my chest tight and my eyes glassy...
That was deep. To think, he's been living with this monumental guilt all this time 😢🤗
I love this SCP story so much! Thank you for bringing it to us with such love and care from everyone at SCP Explained!!
If I was a little kid again I'd probably memorize the SCP-4840 entries and tell the story to my Sunday School teacher.
Demon Lancelot might be connected to another SCP: SCP-4812-E I think it was out of the three known as Wrath.
He actually was mentioned in SCP-4812. He was one of the four knights of The Sky Kings that were cursed into monsters by the Fae Princess.
"And that was a gift for me"
Has got to be one of the saddest things to say
I accidentally lost the home page where it showed up, it appeared in the EXACT same place.
*A sign of the Gods*
Edit: Jesus Christ this hits different after I watch it
"Just from this story alone there must be entities you recognize." I'm probs wrong but does the heart of Demon Lancelot have any relation to the Heart of Darkness??
you mean, SCP 058?
I can kinda see the similarities.
@@MrERJ1992 Yeah. I only know what the SCP Animated showed, but the story never mentioned what happened to the heart after it was ripped out.
@@ikuzemmezuki5954 Maybe is 058 but I think it means more Abel and Cain so SCP 73 and 76, Yaldaboth, Mekain and the serpent of the wanderers Library.
the demon Lancelot is dead and is lying down at one of the temples in SCP-4840
@@animeguy6752 Yes his heart was removed but he is still very much alive since his body is still radiating heat and might awaken soon
This was so well presented it gave me literal goosbumps. Was originally just listening while doing chores around the apartment and ended up sitting still, and just devoting all my attention to this story. Well appreciated break :)
Thank you so much for doing everything you do!
SCP Explained, I just want to say you make incredibly high quality and easy to understand videos. I personally am more of a visual guy when it comes to stories instead of reading them throughout, and these ones that are part of the kaktusverse I believe (a collection of stories and SCPs created by djkaktus, a famous SCP writer) are so deeply interesting in it's ancient civilization scenery. I hope you make this a series explaining all of them and deffinitelly dive deeply into this lore as it is one everyone should really check out. Thanks for this awesome video!
It's not just the narrator or the animation that makes this a kickass SCP channel....he knows what his subscribers are interested in. I don't suppose you could make them longer? (Just wondering. You are still awesome even if they stay at their current length)
Well, it also helps that it's not just some dude reading the articles off the SCP wiki.
This is one of the most interesting SCP videos I've ever watched. I've learned so much, and poor Seth has had to watch all of creation rise and fall. His stories blow Mr. SeaSlug (can't remember his name) right out of the water
I remember when SCP was just a bunch of disparate short stories with the "anomaly" of the week and now its this big epic MYTHOLOGY with a huge story arc.
I'm so very happy you made a video just for this part of the article
I would never know about these really cool scps if you didnt publish videos!
Another great story, Thanks for the video!
Amazing. Please continue with these great works of lore and world building.
One of the best scp animations on this channel
This is one good SCP, thank you for this
Really well done! Subbed!
gotta be one of my favorites, this one is really good.
Damn, you can feel the regret and sadness in Seth's voice at the end.
Wow that was a lot of information very quickly! Interesting take on a Creation mythos thougb
WAY MORE original and consistent than any and all currently popular religions...
Great job, it was really enjoyable!
This was actually beautiful
That was a lovely story to say, n to the channel best narration ever.
Uve got that presentation skills n does it so well. U must do a story on the channel itself like who r u guys n how do you choose stories n do it n all.
You need to finish making this series. Most would love to see your take on how it ends.
hooray the scp I've been waiting for
Read the whole of Project Paragon. It’s pretty interesting read I can assure you.
what an AWESOME story!!
This was so good
The best SCP lore video I have watched to date!!!!! So we’ll done
This story is simply amazing. I do wonder, what is the soundtrack in the background? It sounds quite relaxing
same... im gonna keep trying
Yeah I liked it as well chief
Aang never really elaborated on the people and architecture of Audapaupadopolus so I'm glad we are getting more info about it.
11:39
"Hey, Hey, SCP Foundation. Seth here."
this explain alot of the scp lore
Very beautiful.
I LOVE YOURE VIDEOS
A really good story
This story makes a lot of sense
“It is the origin of all evil on Earth… and it was given as a gift to me”
Such a powerful line
I love your videos
SCP is always thrilling and horrifying stories
That was a good story
Also the iron crown kinda looks similar to the kind of crown worn by the scarlet king.
Maybe there’s a connection between them?
@@alexh.g.rayner3094 hes mentioned in the original article
Nice
I am hooked on all your shows and seen so many over and over just wish there was some logic with the chronological order to the episodes can ya make any suggestions
Nice video
I remember when I read this (I started reading the scp page because of your videos) and I definitely say that this is one of my favorite scp videos. Just one thing wasn’t he supposed to say “my name WAS seth?”
I wonder how many takes it took to say the first sentence. Keep it up man!
More on Audapaupadopolis, LES GOOO
Damn im early about to watch the video now lol ✌️
Can you do a video on the different departments at the foundation?
It was a good video.
Cool scp
nice
when your whole family is an SCP...
073, 076, 4840-A
My favorite SCP
I can't say the flying city's name!
Whatever...
This is a great upload. Thank you and kudos to everyone!
Let's goo I'm named after that old guy
When is DJKactus going to create a proper Canon Hub Page for his Kactusverse?
Scarlet king is from Brazil confirmed
You guys should cover SCP 209. It's a very interesting SCP and memetic agent.
Wrath is the story that initially got me into the scp universe
All the planning, trickery, power failed and the youngest just took it while he slept. The simplest method is often the best it seems.
The first kings ability is amazing 🤯
I hope there's more on this tale
Lancelot takes over world
I love this scp mythology
Damn, this is so sad. It was only supposed to be a nice little gift for him but caused so much destruction and death.
3:15 sounds like Yoda "do or do not"
11:10-Just yeet it to 682!!No matter who wins,1 danger will be gone.
do a video about scp 729 j, the onliest scp who managed to neutralise scp 682
There's way more information to this SCP than what's here, and would take 2-3 hours to fully tell.
Titania and Hector next, please!
"My name is Lancelot,
I'm big and strong and hot~
Occasionally I do,
some things I should not~"
Is there more to the sad story of Seth, lost brother to Cain and Able?
Yooooo holy hell that last section is fucking raw dude that gave me shivers
Yes
interview with 343? that would be a lot of questions
This is like the first time
It amazes me how such violence and chaos comes from originally pure intentions.
This should be another scp-001!
I agree please do a full series on this there’s still so much more to the story
