Hi Paula, thanks for reaching out to ask. Unfortunately, Curology dermatology providers do not treat this issue. We recommend reaching out to your personal physician for expert advice. 💜
If there's one thing a nice, cool pressure does for your skin (other than feeling amazing), it's that a cold compress can help decrease certain kinds of skin inflammation, which can help reduce swelling, redness, and puffiness. Just make sure to leave your gua sha tool out for a few minutes before applying it to your skin, or lay a clean cloth over your face to protect it from the cold. 💜
But why is it used? And u didnt give us Any actual science info. I am finding some now online... all these ppl have FAT ROUND faces!!!!! What about us with thin long faces?????? What does "fluid even mean? Is it anti aging or---???
It’s a massage for the face. It will have the same benefits if any massage. Relax tense muscles, improve circulation. The circulation and lymphatic drainage improvement was mentioned in the video. These are 2/3 of the primary benefits. She may have mentioned tension too but I’m not watching again to find out. She also gave a conclusion that it’s a “potential grail” as there aren’t a bunch of definitive studies that these effects are noticeable and are worth potential side effects. (No money in it no studies funded)
My dad used to make us do it on his back when he was still around, it's not all about beauty all the time it may also be a health benefit.
I use them for running, to massage my legs for myofacial release to prevent shin splints
