    You can say the same about exercising, i.e., stop exercising, you may lose muscle mass? It's about maintenance, no?

    • @laurafiguereo6305
      @laurafiguereo6305 2 роки тому +4

      But it takes much more than a week. Exercise is something to live with to have better quality of life. You can start eating healthy and if you stop you know what is going to happen. I do not think the skin has muscle. So is not the same

      @@laurafiguereo6305 Their comment about muscle loss was specific to the potentially negative results incurred when exercising is stopped. The point was analogous.

    just because it's temporary doesn't mean it doesn't work!! you can be beautiful even just for a moment

    Maybe you dont have profit? Also botox is temporary and expensive

  • @wildheart82

    Nada seems a little biased, considering her career that makes sense. However, shortcuts like injections/botox/fillers, etc are ALSO temporary. Exercise is temporary as well. Gua shaw (lymphatic drainage) is also temporary.
    Life is about maintenance. You must keep up with your exercise to maintain a healthy body/figure. You must keep up with Gua sha to maintain continuous lymphatic drainage and of course, if you choose, injections/botox and fillers must also be maintained every few months.
    She said she's seen pictures...but not actually tried it herself...
    Gua sha is NOT about "manipulating" the face, it's lymphatic drainage....Google or UA-cam that. There are a plethora of legit videos from specialists, doctors, and practitioners explaining and demonstrating how it's done and why it works. You'll often get misinformation on Tick tok anyway. But thanks for sharing your opinion.
    Nameste.

      Gua Sha lasts just a few hours at best though whereas the other options last months.

    You are talking nonsense. I challenge you to do Gua Sha for at least six months and then come here and debunk everything with all the evidence day by day, month by month. I put my head on a spike that you haven't done it to even talk about it.

      Haha all the dermatologists in UA-cam are saying that it's not effective, but many have posted their experience and there were some changes esp. on the jawline. I guess they say it's not effective so others would try clinic treatments instead 😂

    I’ve been doing gua sha for many years consistently
    It is great to do morning and night like other daily things like brushing teeth

    The reason its temporary is because everything is. Life happens. Stress happens. And most people don't know how to manage and process stress well enough to avoid the facial tension that causes puffiness, wrinkles and nutrient blockage. Just like exercise must be kept up with in order to maintain and enjoy its benefits, massage and gua sha do work but must become a practice to keep up with the daily tensions and blockages. Or you can learn how to manage and process stress to prevent facial tension.

    It’s a placebo. As you rightly point out it may have a temporary effect by helping lymphatic drainage but I see some truly ludicrous and near miraculous claims being attributed to gua sha on the face when it can’t possibly be any more effective than any other kind of facial massage.

    In lieu of Gua Sha, what are some procedures/techniques to have tighter looking skin?

    • @nadathenurseinjector
      @nadathenurseinjector  3 роки тому +2

      It would vary significantly depending on the amount of laxity and age of skin. If you’re younger, things like Botox and PRP microneedling will lightly tighten things. If you’re older and expericing some more major signs of aging, then you’d be looking at surgical interventions. Unfortunately loose skin is one of those things that’s very hard to treat.

      I mean what she says is true! Gua sha isnt meant to change your face :) its meant to help aid in lymphatic drainage , circulation & aids in massaging your face . People just lie to sell things. I have a lot of facial tension from tmj so gua sha really helps me . But like she said results aren’t going to last forever . But then again neither ate botox or fillers . 🤷‍♀️
