Thank you for the video about Clarisonic I always wanted to buy one and now that you telling me that they’re going out of business thank God I’ve never purchased one
Finally some honest video. So tired of “influencers” trying to sell us craps we don’t need just because they get paid $$$ to BS us. Thanks for doing this!
Idk if anyone has used tao spinning brushes? They disinfect and honestly my face is always oily and gross everyday and after using it my face feels so clean and smooth and fresh.
I admire that professionals are steering consumers into developing an understanding of ingredients + their benefits. As the beauty industry inundates us with limitless makeup options, it’s evident those creative principles can’t translate to how we approach skincare.. especially with actives! The price of some of these tools seriously can buy you a over years worth of sunscreen.
This is true! It's wonderful that these board-certified dermatologists are sharing their knowledge with everyday people. With regard to those sonic cleansing devices, I'd read from others that they can unfortunately cause broken capillaries (the capillaries are the tiny blood vessels at the ends of the arteries) that may look like red or pink threads in the skin.
The thing with the jade rollers is that they are taken out of context by the occidental beauty industry. They are inspired in gua sha which is a massage technique to relax the face, muscles and to do linfatic drainage as you just said. It was originally done with a jade flat shaped object with some specific forms. I've been doing gua sha on my face and body for ten years and it works wonders for tension and muscles pains. But yeah, it's not going to help with acne or rosacea, that is definetely made up by the beauty industry.
No, they aren't. Jade is actually supposed to be magical according to Chinese Traditional Medicine. That's why princes were buried in jade suits. You may like it as a lymph massage, but it is LITERALLY MARKETED AS MAGIC in China.
I usually use mine AFTER my Gua session, under my eyes throughout the day to aid lymphatic drainage…. & it works wonders if something pisses me off and I notice I’m holding tension in the brow/ frontalis region. 😠😛 Just roll away that scowl 😂
I would love to hear you guys go into the topics below! - Puffy eyes, discoloration under the eyes, and the differences. - Kid-friendly skincare, especially for preteens experiencing breakouts - What to eat to help your skin from the inside - Natural ingredients we can use to create masks or any other skincare products - Male skincare, primarily back acne and blackheads.
Yes on the Kid friendly skin care! Gosh, my 9 yr old son is getting lots of bumps on his cheeks. I don’t know if they are even acne exactly. But gosh he’s only in 3rd grade. What the heck?!
for the topic what to eat i would love to hear about the difference between eating something to improve skin/nails/hair vs putting it on. Cause every product i buy for self care my mom goes "what works is only what you eat, cause it needs to improve from the inside" And feel free to read that line with an annoying voice lol
Ppl that have amazing skin without doing anything are literally blessed, because they’re just born with great genetics. I have a friend that doesn’t eat healthy at all and eats Maccas weekly and she still has the most beautiful glowing flawless skin.
Yeah I am 41 and people often think I am a lot younger and will literally get out their phone to take down a list of everything I do. I do NOTHING. Wash my face and moisturise (when I remember) with whatever is on sale. My mother, aunts and grandmother all look young too, people used to think my nana was my mother and she was 60 and kids at school thought my mum was a teenage mother but she had me at 25. I also have an indoor lifestyle, the sun is the worst for skin and because I’m pale I’m always careful. A few years ago I was looking for a part time job and I applied at a few beauty counters and they were all excited for me to promote their products, but I wasn’t going to lie to people. It’s genetic and sun + lifestyle (stress, drinking, drugs) and none of those can be reversed or changed.
Wtf u say did nothing. But u did “wash & moisturise”…. Someone i know who has good skin, didnt wash face with any products. Just tap water! This is called did nothing!
True. Some people eat garbage food on a daily basis, don't have skin care system, and their skin looks spotless, and youthful. And here I am, trying to do everything right, sleep, eating, hygiene, exercise, skin care products. And still look mediocre.
I'm almost 38 years old and have struggled with my skin since I was a teenager. It's been 3 weeks of following your advice: added retinoids and sunscreen, ditched the scrubs and I'm noticing a difference already. Purging a bit but I'm so thankful to have an educated plan now! Thank you!
I'm 39 and I do not tend to use harsh chemicals or too many products...but when I have in the future, I ended up destroying my skin. Follow their advice, they know what they are doing. It also helps my bf worked for 20yrs in spa industry
Aaaaand 60's! I'm in that decade and am getting tired of reading reviews for products that are all tried by influencers in their 20's and 30's with relatively great skin. I'm dealing with the issues that they are only trying to prevent.
Yeah I'm 34 and acne just stopped being much of an issue in my late 20's but now I'm starting to notice the early signs of aging, so I feel like I use to have a routine but it's not working too well anymore... agree that older people would be a good video because I feel like "anti aging" is another industry that sells alot of snake oil.
Funny story - I’m 34 years old and 4 days ago ran out of my witch Hazel toner. Went 2 days without it and my skin cleared up almost instantly. I’d been fighting dry peeling skin and clogged pores my whole life and only a couple days after cutting out toner did my skin start to look better. And then today randomly I see this video. Oh the irony
Try to use the 3 ingredients they recommend but in products that will moisturizer your skin. I swear you'll save money and your skin will be beautifully restored
That's such a weird cooincidence about seeing the video! I have a similar story. Stopped using Thayer's because it was getting expensive and BAM- skin cleared.
@Silvia C it works well unless you're shaving ALOT between treatments - the shaving is what I've personally noticed causes some skin sensitivity and spots & I've been having laser for the past 4 years so alot of experience
My skin is happiest when I do as little as possible - wash my face with just water, exfoliate with a soft wet wash cloth in areas where it's needed once in a while, and put some moisturizer on until it doesn't feel dry
@@adeliad5242 true for many, sure. Others had to go through a lot of medical intervention to get to that point. I went through two rounds of accutane to not have to worry like that. But I totally feel you.
I always felt like the bristles on The clarisonic just make my feel dryer. I wanted to try it so bad back in the day, but I felt like it was so over hyped.
Idk I still like Clarisonic when I stopped using it I broke out bad and then when I started using It again my face got a lot clearer u do have to be careful to not push too hard and I soak them in isopropyl to clean the bacteria
I bought a Jade roller for my boyfriend because he absolutely hates the feeling of any leftover moisturizer on his hands and now he does his skincare routine everyday :)
THIS! esp the micro needling/ micro dermabrasion appliances and the lights. (re. dermaplaning: no interest. already know not gonna be shaving my face -- horror stories abound online with pics about much hairier faces despite all the things about it being a myth...plus was always told not to do that by my late stepmom, apparently it was a fad back in the day, too. she said you need that protective layer to protect the skin and she's right...
Finally a useful video recommendation from UA-cam. I'm so sick of the wannabe skin specialists on UA-cam. Give me a board certified specialist with article references aka these guys.
Everyone said chemical exfoliating is better than physical exfoliating. But, I always get pimples and my skin get so sensitive from using chemicals exfoliating. In the other hand, physical exfoliating is my favorite. It’s a big help for my skin. It doesn’t cause breakout and doesn’t make my skin sensitive. Well, every skin is different so choose what is best for you.
Physical exfoliation can make your skin more sensitive. Chemical exfoliations are best options for every skin type. Ordinary has best options for dry skin exfoliation. They don't even contain any salicylic acid. They will as well Moisturize your skin.
@@monviciit depends on how abrasive the exfoliant is. Gentle physical exfoliants are typically safe to use on the skin unless you have more sensitive/acne prone skin.
I agree. I physically exfoliate twice a week max and it doesn’t affect my skin in any way. I think it does come down to what works well for some may not work for others 👍🏻
Toners aren’t really stripping anymore. Most don’t carry alcohol anymore like proactive did. There are a lot of hydrating toners that have beneficial ingredients & keep the skin moisturized for serums to better penetrate. Toners arent necessary but definitely useful. 🙏
Yup. Left me with what looked like hickies on my face. I’ve tried everyone out there and am as gentle as possible. I just don’t like them. They’re a huge waste of money and you can’t resell them if you don’t like them because of sanitary reasons. 😩
I really appreciate that you two talked about the nuances of toner. It's nice to feel validated that not all toners are astringent and skin-stripping. I use Cerave's Hydrating toner with HA, ceramides, and niacinamide. It's a perfect base for when my skin is feeling a little dryer than usual. It's more like a hydrating 'serum' and I get the added bonus of those actives. Thanks for the video, Dr. Shah and Dr. Maxfield!
I have a rose quartz roller too that vibrates! I love it! I use it as my massager for my face products & also the vibrational frequency it gives off from the crystal itself, thats why we feel at peace & happy! It promotes self love 💗 vibrations 🔮😁
I think the undrestimated or underlighted the power of feeling simply better or more refreshed, cause in the end what you feel inside radiates outside and if it helps you to "perform" better than i would consider it a huge benefit.
I have a jade roller and use it because I tend to clench my jaw during the day and it can give me headaches. So, if i use the roller on my masseter muscle area it can relieve some of that tension before bed. Or i just use it for little self care massage moment. But definitely agree it doesn't really have any skincare benefits and companies that say it does is just a marketing scam.
I get migraines and the pain can go around my eye sockets and in my sinuses. The cold, rolling movement and pressure of the roller helps with that pain. Anyone with migraines knows that we will take whatever pain relief we can get even if temporary.
I've been knuckle massaging and thrusting my jaw (that helps a lot), so I'm really interested in your post about temp relief. Do you use it because it is very effective (like once a day) or better than nothing (several times a day)?
no but having jade rollers and stuff like that actually make u want to do ur skincare routine and can make the process feel so much luxurious and better. its just feels so fancy and lushhhhhh
@Ignacio Peñafiel Urzúa i do skincare not for the looks, but instead to feel put together and better. its a form of personal self care, and helps my mental health. sometimes, i have no motivation to do my skincare but the jade roller and things make me want to tak care of myself. not doing my skincare can make me feel in a rut and just depressed, so its something i need to do but need motivation
@@jojoinadango 💯 same for me! I started getting into skin care and having the motivation with just using guasha stone every night. I would actually look forward to it. Now a couple of years later I have a skin care routine from a dermat suitable for my acne prone skin but this is the first time I managed to stick to it. Because I have started to enjoy it.
@@sarahdiehl9156 I still use my Clarisonic and I have tried switching to other products. My face still doesn’t feel as clean as it does with the Clarisonic 🤷🏻♀️ I always kept my clean and dry, so I don’t have any of the issues they listed.
Switched from DIY skincare with all natural ingredients and some of these tools to CeraVe and Ordinary and it COMPLETELY changed my skin!!! I also went from using so many products to just about 4. The Holy grails - cleanser, exfoliant, mask and moisturizer. No crazy routine. My skin is so much better now. It’s so good to do thorough research rather than rely on a few social media posts. Love this video!!!
You guys should make a video on your favourite underrated ingredients! I think a lot of people know about retinoids, salicylic acid, and niacinamide (for good reason). But what are some new up and coming ingredients or less talked about ingredients that you guys are loving in your skincare?
Tranxemic acid is huge now. I'd really love to hear their thoughts on this acid. So many companies are coming out this product as a better alternative to AHA/BHAs
This is a great video idea! Some of my favorite ingredients that are underrated: azelaic acid, mandelic acid, polyhydroxy acid, green tea, turmeric, licorice root, resveratrol, Co-Q10, etc!
@@Doctorly oooo q10, that was my first thought when I finished watching this video! I just finished a bottle and wasn’t sure if to repurchase. So now I will!
🙌🙌 As an Esthetician, I have been telling my clients, literally everything you just discussed. Thank you for addressing all of my most hated things people do to their skin.
I just (accidentally) switched to a silicon cleanser (the brush came with my electric toothbrush). Honestly, the silicon cleanser works way better than my hands. I have very sensitive skin and so far, no issues found *shrug*.
I can't get rid of my Sea Breeze for sensitive skin. It's the only thing I've used that is affordable & really gets my skin clean. I have dry skin but it doesn't make my skin dry at all, and my skin looks brighter after using it. Any other kind of soap or cleaner makes my skin dry.
I love witch hazel too. Honestly I have sensitive skin and eczema and it is so gentle. I do use a hydrating tone without alcohol after my cleanser and it helps alot with my enlarged pores. I think if it works for you then use the product. It's hard to suggest one product to the masses cause every person has a different skin type.
I use witch hazel during hot/humid weather to clean my skin during the day. I keep a bottle with cotton in my desk and sometimes witch hazel wipes in my car. It helps keep grime off my skin until I get home and can wash my face.
I also have a Jade roller. It was inexpensive and I love it. It just feels good. A spoon wouldn't roll over the skin, but sure it could work. I have definitely done that! 😁👍 In the list they put, the jade roller is just something you don't need, but it does stuff and feels good and does not harm, unlike some of the other things listed.
Theres nothing wrong with using a Jade roller because you enjoy it but I just hate that its always advertised as anti-aging which its not. My mom uses one and its not for anti-aging reasons, but because of all the areas to massage we always forget the face which is an important area so she finds it important to massage the face.
Just a side note Korean Toners which are not like American Toners are really important in Korean Skin care because they prime the skin to soak up what's being put on the face they are not harsh and drying like the American Toners, also Jade rollers are for that very purpose to massage and drain the face of toxins to increase blood flow ,I particularly like Gua Sha which are really good for this If your like me and you get a puffy face this really helps to drain extra fluid from your face, you use it after you put on your facial care products which also help massage them deeper into your skin but I really apprciate what the doctors were saying about if you like to spend time on your skin then these things are really nice to do but if not or if it's not really beneficial to you then don't bother with it. It really is on a person to person basis and what it is that matter to you. Great advise as usual doctors!
Personally with my oily (slightly combination and prone to breakouts) the Foreo is a life saver for me. My cleanser is the only cleanser my skin won’t break out to but paired with the foreo it’s even better! Especially because being so oily I get blackheads under the skin and pimples under the skin. And because it’s silicone it’s much more gentle and bacteria friendly. Clarisonic always felt like it was ripping at my face. I only had that for a short time!
Foreo Luna has helped me with my dry skin and blackheads on my nose! When it comes to skincare it always comes down to what suits your lifestyle best and what will benefit your skin in the long run. I wouldn't discount all those skincare products. They are there for a reason. And around the globe, we have different skin types.
Doctors, thank you for doing these vids. Specifically love the awareness in pore vacuums. Worked in derm for three years and this fad has made me cringe, knowing that patients were going to be heading to the derm complaining about redness they caused theirselves while denying they caused it theirselves(telangiectasia). Also, derm rollers…come on people!! Make sure to say what using these things can lead to. People overusing retinoids, strength, overusing BP and SA. Every patient is different which is why you need to see the dermatologist so they can see and measure your needs. Most common thing I’ve seen is powdery skin or flaky skin from screwing up the healthy balance of bacteria and oils on the skin over stripping it by overuse of chemicals and treatments. Love your stuff!
Clarisonic definitely ruined my skin! I was having oily and acne skin a few years ago, and the salesperson told me that I should use a face brush. My skin did not get any better. Now I stopped using any aggressive approach and stick with simple, basic skincare routine. My skin improves drastically.
one of the biggest takeaways i have from all my years of cystic acne is to never listen to the internet. i finally saw a dermatologist three years into my acne journey and only then did i realize how much harm i had done to my skin over the years. i’m 6 years into my journey and i FINALLY have a solid routine that works super well!
Same for me, what really worked for me what shockingly having a simple routine: cleanser, serum and moisturizer and sunscreen. Once a week use a chemical exfoliator and only use a toner when I get a pimple and only very targeted.
As someone with broken blood vessels, yes. Just make sure you’re using infrared LED and different colors are good for different things. Like blue LED is good for acne, red/infrared/amber LED is good for rosacea, green LED is good for hyper pigmentation etc.
I’ve been using main for a month now & not only does my face look more lifted and smoothed out, but I genuinely feel better and less tents! Use it girl and enjoy the process
I've been using Foreo Luna since 2019 and I am beyond happy with this product. Thanks to Foreo I don't need to do hydrafacial very often. I do 1 or 2 times a year for deep cleaning only. Foreo Luna (for sensitive skins) is in my morning and night routine 99% of the time. I think it is a very good long term investment.
Yes I have a Foreo Luna and it actually does wonders for me, I had to keep it in storage and thought I'd use my hands though the results are nowhere near as close.
Watching these doctors give me so much joy ! So much needed knowledge/gems, humor and positive vibes in each videos. They seem like they would be so fun to hang out with !
I once had an estatician tell me she thought jade rollers were the single most skin changing development in the past few years, and I can see that, BUT it's probably because using the jade rollers really changes the way you APPLY your skincare aka actually giving it time to penetrate, incorporating some skin massage, and also being more intentional/ gentle vs the hectic skin scrub thing we all used to do all the time. The roller itself is meh.
@@prosquatter yeah sure but when you use it, you don’t change it everytime you wash your face, do you? And that moment when you let it « air » dry, can this cause bacteria? If yes is it problematic for the skin?
ok youtube algorithm, you thought this was for me and you were right, I'm glad I'm too lazy to use devices and products on my face, now I feel vindicated 👍 I just wash my face put some sunscreen cream on and I'm done!
@Miss Steele I use night and day creams, and the day one already has sunsreen, about the serum 1 they are really expensive 2 I've never felt the need tbh and I'm ok with that
@@Shiriusa Creams containing sunscreen are not effective sun protectants. The lotion dilutes the sunscreen so the amount you’d actually have to use to get adequate protection wouldn’t even be realistic. I’d recommend a lotion then a sunscreen on top or just a moisturizing sunscreen.
What about dry brushing, coral sea sponge, and konjac sponges for cleansing? Aslo, this channel is awesome! just discovered it. idk why YT recommended it to me, but I am glad it did!
So glad you said the foreo was ok, I actually love mine. The charge lasts months, this is the only thing that’s kept me in a routine and also feel like I get less blocked pores on my nose and under it. 👍
Aah its nice to have actual skin doctors talk about skincare. Was never really a fan of beauty influencers. Why do they even call themselves skincare gurus when they are not professionals in the field? Most of the time, all they do is rave about the packaging (like come on) and give reviews about products which they only tried for a few days. And while there are beauty influencers who actually do research, they can only know so much 🙃 Its always best to listen to actual professionals.
I would love to see a video on whether or not supplements are beneficial for our skin. Examples being biotin, collagen, sugar bear vitamins. Thank you for the tips! I found your video very helpful! I’m sure y’all are a hoot to work with! 😂Thanks again!
If you have a varied diet supplements are NOT necessary. Supplements are for healthy people who have a high requirement due to a physiological situation such as pregnancy
I would love love LOVE for you guys to talk about peptides!! I've recently found a popular product called peptaronic serum that mainly consists of peptides and hyaluronic acid. Do peptides really work in collagen production? Are retinols/other ingredients more effective? Should I get this?
Love your honesty! There’s too many beauty fads out there that are ineffective. As someone who formerly worked in the industry, I’ve seen sooooo many ripoffs and misinformation.
I recently saw a dermatologist and was told I have hypersensitive skin. Apparently the only thing I can use on my face that won’t irritate it, is water lol! So glad I found your videos. I’ve learned a lot!
Make sure you use skin products (including a moisturizer) that are fragrance-free. Always look through the ingredients list; don't use any product that has any irritating or toxic ingredient. Wear sunscreen that is only mineral-based, with the active ingredient zinc oxide.
My Foreo has made a huge difference in my skin and clearing out my pores. I never believed it would work this well. It’s definitely better than just hands
@@arpijacq1 It's made a difference in my skin too. Since I started using it, my skin absorbs the other products way better than before, which has resulted in my skin becoming softer, smoother and plumper, and it's made it glow. Thanks to that, I now use very little to no makeup.
When I was a kid I had cartilage from my rib removed and used to reconstruct my trachea. I remember the surgeon at the time told my mom to have me put vitamin e (from a capsule) on the scars. I was 11- and they were new scars and already a bit keloid. I convinced her to to let me stop using it when it started to cause irritation. So interesting to know it wouldn’t have made a difference if I stuck with it.
I've never thought my rose quartz roller was actually doing anything. It just feels nice. My daughter is always stealing it too, it's a nice little cool (to the touch) face massage.
It does reduce eye puffiness especially when cold, just a few light rolls under the eye and on eyelids. It is not a long term fix just works for about 8 hours. Better than chemicals plus feels good.
I just got one from temu for 1 pound ish. My daughter was constantly fighting over it with me. It is the best stress relieving tool. It is just fun to use when you watch a movie (or this video). I plan to get one for each one in the house so no more fighting over it. I use it to massage my daughter to put her to sleep.
Have you tried making an oatmeal masque? It’s very calming for the skin, especially with redness. Added benefit is it costs next to nothing. Just mix a little porridge oats with water and apply to the skin as a masque.
Can you please a video on 'clean' beauty? I'd love to have some dermatologists' perspectives on what is safe ingredients wise and if such products are truly worth the extra money or another scam?
I was shocked that toner made the list. As an esthetician I learned that toners are important for restoring the PH of the skin. The products we use in the treatment room don't strip the skin the way products like sea breeze do.
Same here. I thought the cleansers strip the skin of almost everything and the toner afterwards is important to restoring ph and balance it before applying serums and creams.
Jade rollers are great for any products you have in tubes, like masks, toothpaste, etc., because you can use them to press down from the bottom of the tube upward to help squeeze our every last bit before you have to cut the tube diagonally with a scissors to get the rest out before you discard the tube.
I love my foreo mini 2! I can’t even remember what prompted me to buy it but I used it once and loved it. It’s definitely been several years and I just occasionally plug it in when I remember and it hasn’t died so far!
I LOVE my Foreo. Started using one in 2016. I have seen a big difference from using it in conjunction with high-quality face cleansers. My texture improved dramatically and hyperpigmentation started to fade.
I'd say probably because they are making the income to be able to afford expensive dental procedures......unlike the rest of us who's standard dental insurance pays for hardly anything.
Cause people don’t treat people equally when they aren’t attractive looking. So maybe it’s naturally their teeth or they worked on it knowing how society treats people and how it influences the income. 🤷♀️
I was really hoping to hear your thoughts on the light therapy trend. I bought a celluma pro because it is FDA cleared. It’s also considered a medical grade device but most light therapy devices on the market are not. Do you think light therapy is beneficial?
Hi Amanda! How do you feel after using your Celluma pro? Do you use it for pain and for rejuvenation? I have dr. Gross led mask for face and different brand flexible led wraps for body to treat inflammation and muscle pain. I notice a difference when I use them regularly. My father uses the led I gave him for muscle pain and he uses it daily! He loves it. But Celluma’s devices are much higher grade and have the pulsating lights so, though so much more expensive...I’ve thought about buying...so I’m super curious about your experience so far. How long have you had yours? Appreciate very much if you take the time to reply. :) Regards!
love using my face roller not just for the cool feeling on my skin, but it also helps massage my jaw! i have mild tmj pain from clenching and it feels really nice
I LOVE how you guys approached this! I just got a jade roller after hearing how cool to the touch it felt, and for me, I need a small experience to keep doing it. It feels great! But I always raise an eyebrow when they claim things like 'collagen building'!
They basically mentioned all the good stuff I like about it, lymph movement and cooling effect. All skin practice "influencers" I follow also only talk about that. I have actually never heard about the collagen thing xd
Could you do a video on hyperpigmentation? I’m suffering from it in my eye area: lids, brow bone and under eye. It makes it difficult to conceal my eye bags because it shows through the concealer and foundation.
In one of your videos, you talked about ROC skincare. I used that brand for a long time until they changed up their moisturizer, then I started having migraines. Neutrogena is my go-to now. Wished you'd talked about skincare for women 50+.
What a great video! I would love to see a version of this dedicated to other skincare devices like red light therapy, the PMD Microdermabrasion, the skin spatulas, the microneedling rollers, facial ice globes, etc...
I have to say I love my jade roller. It is like you said, I have severe sinus problem and the coolness and pressure rolling feels so good on my pressure points.
I love it when they laugh about something science-y. Their beautiful faces and perfect teeth don’t change the fact that they are, at heart, science nerds. 😂 So charming.
I have never used a toner in my life & same thing goes for any devices or tools on my face. I keep it simple . I have sensitive skin so a gentle cleanser, a Vitamin C serum, then a good moisturizer does the trick in my morning routine. In my nightly routine I cleanse, use a retinol cream, & moisturize. 😁
Many Derms just need to start asking young teenagers how they're taking care of their skin and stop recommending all of these strong medications immediately. I find that most of them are not and never have exfoliated the skin and they have very oily skin of course they're going to get acne I usually teach them how to take care of their skin and they don't always need these heavy medications at least most of the time its simply that there not caring properly for the skin and need an education not a prescription. Many of them also don't seem to be told that they need to be Sun blocking every single day to avoid more scarring or darkening of scars or pigmentation
could you maybe quickly elaborate on a basic skin routine? I have no idea how to deal with my skin and like you said, everyone mostly recomends product after product without mentioning the easy alternative.

Ppl that have amazing skin without doing anything are literally blessed, because they’re just born with great genetics. I have a friend that doesn’t eat healthy at all and eats Maccas weekly and she still has the most beautiful glowing flawless skin.
Totally agree, some people are very fortunate and have flawless skin without much effort

@Trinity M what are you talking about
@Trinity M Good grief. You need help. Qi is nonsense superstition.
Which chemical are you using to exfoliate & how many percent?
Toners aren’t really stripping anymore. Most don’t carry alcohol anymore like proactive did. There are a lot of hydrating toners that have beneficial ingredients & keep the skin moisturized for serums to better penetrate. Toners arent necessary but definitely useful. 🙏
Yes that's exactly what they said. If toner has "actives" in them they are good👍

Maxfield!

I think it’s more fun for women. Relaxing, cooling and a loving moment to ourselves. I absolutely love them.
I think the undrestimated or underlighted the power of feeling simply better or more refreshed, cause in the end what you feel inside radiates outside and if it helps you to "perform" better than i would consider it a huge benefit.
Yesss, I use it for jaw pain rather than as skincare and I think it's pretty great.
I have one too! I love it. I put my hydro gel moisturizer on then use the roller. It is so relaxing!
I have a jade roller and use it because I tend to clench my jaw during the day and it can give me headaches. So, if i use the roller on my masseter muscle area it can relieve some of that tension before bed. Or i just use it for little self care massage moment. Witch hazel does wonders for the little bumps I get on my forehead in the summer. It’s the only thing that’s worked.
If you like it use it
I love witch hazel too.
Well, I use jade roller every morning to wake up myself up since I’m not coffee person. The cool feeling of jade makes me fresh in the morning.
I love my jade roller. It feels relaxing if nothing else. It does help with puffiness I think.
Me too. People think it’s silly but it also helps with my sinuses and puppy skin
Theres nothing wrong with using a Jade roller because you enjoy it but I just hate that its always advertised as anti-aging which its not. My mom uses one and its not for anti-aging reasons, but because of all the areas to massage we always forget the face which is an important area so she finds it important to massage the face.
@@elizabethwilk9615 not silly It helps with lymphatic system So that makes sense
I just got a Korean toner and it’s like watery silk! It’s fabulous!
What toxins? And where do they go, in the end, huh?
Same with Japanese toners
There are also non electronic silicone face cleansers.

Tourmaline is supposed to be good. It's been added to various creams and such.
I use a rose quartz roller because of my rosacea. I keep it in the fridge and the cooling is really soothing when my skin is flaring up.
Still cant get over the way Dr Maxfield looks at Dr Shah. That's a true bromance right there 😂

I was shocked that toner made the list. As an esthetician I learned that toners are important for restoring the PH of the skin. The products we use in the treatment room don't strip the skin the way products like sea breeze do.
Same!
They aren't necessary, though.
Same here. I thought the cleansers strip the skin of almost everything and the toner afterwards is important to restoring ph and balance it before applying serums and creams.
Their truly not 100% necessary there’s other products that can restore ph balance back to the skin.
Do I NEED my foreo? Maybe I could live without it, but I wouldn't want to. It has made a huge difference to my skin and I am obsessed.

I agree too much talk less walk
And doc On the right has some fierce brows

Just reminded me of that episode of Friends when Ross's teeth glow in the dark xD
Its an American thing, they bleach their teeth.
What products should we bring using on our necks so anti-aging?
Retinol/retinoids
@@adealao8927 thank you!
Jade rollers are great for any products you have in tubes, like masks, toothpaste, etc., because you can use them to press down from the bottom of the tube upward to help squeeze our every last bit before you have to cut the tube diagonally with a scissors to get the rest out before you discard the tube.
I can just use my toothbrush to do this...
@@RegstarRogstar I use a rolling pin XD
Never have I ever been so attracted to someone's personality, looks, and brains!
Have you not looked upon of the man that was Tom Hiddleston ,
They are both very attractive in body and Intelligence I agree
What’s your view on beauty fridges?
Can you do a skin care routine for mature skin? Love your videos!!!
I absolutely love my Foreo Luna 2. My first one lasted 10 years. The charge last for months and months. It really is a great cleansing device.
I love my foreo mini 2! I can’t even remember what prompted me to buy it but I used it once and loved it. It’s definitely been several years and I just occasionally plug it in when I remember and it hasn’t died so far!
Great content! Thank you for giving everyday people, who can't get to a dermatologist, sound skincare advice. Much love!!
I love the jade rollers tbh. I have swelling around one eye and it looks weird. It helps with that.
Well that makes sense since it's main job is lymphatic drainage.
You can also put it in the refrigerator for a few minutes to help reduce swelling ☺️
Or the back of a cold spoon 😀
“Now going out of business, fortunately.” Here for that shade 😂😎
That killed me!! 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
I actually laughed when he said that.
Just heard that !
i wasn't sure if he said fortunately or unfortunately lol
I LOVE my Foreo. Started using one in 2016. I have seen a big difference from using it in conjunction with high-quality face cleansers. My texture improved dramatically and hyperpigmentation started to fade.
Why do dermatologists always have the nicest teeth?? Sometimes I have to ask myself if I’ve just accidentally walked into a dentistry office lol
Maybe because they take care of their overall appearance in general? Or at least the face part. Hehehe.
I'd say probably because they are making the income to be able to afford expensive dental procedures......unlike the rest of us who's standard dental insurance pays for hardly anything.
@@dennisdean8352 I came here to say this
they have a thing for exterior beauty
Cause people don’t treat people equally when they aren’t attractive looking. So maybe it’s naturally their teeth or they worked on it knowing how society treats people and how it influences the income. 🤷♀️
I was really hoping to hear your thoughts on the light therapy trend. I bought a celluma pro because it is FDA cleared. It’s also considered a medical grade device but most light therapy devices on the market are not. Do you think light therapy is beneficial?
FDA cleared means It's not harmful, doesn't mean it will work
Regards!
Can you suggest products for 50+ people especially targeting wrinkles?
love using my face roller not just for the cool feeling on my skin, but it also helps massage my jaw! i have mild tmj pain from clenching and it feels really nice
I like the jade roller merely because it’s relaxing 😂 I don’t expect anything to come out of it except some relaxation. Love y’all!
samee it’s like ice cubes on my face
Yes on microderm at home kits. A trophy ad come on RIGHT after watching the video!!!
🤔
STEM-fielders can have beautiful teeth... we do exist. Yes, but I hear you, they're such nerds, and I'm here for it.
They are medical nerds. They are not into quantum physics and astrophysics 🤷🏼♀️😬 but yes, love me some nerd talk on health & science! 🙌🏼
So agree

I have never used a toner in my life & same thing goes for any devices or tools on my face. I keep it simple . I have sensitive skin so a gentle cleanser, a Vitamin C serum, then a good moisturizer does the trick in my morning routine. In my nightly routine I cleanse, use a retinol cream, & moisturize. 😁
this whole video: roasting the hecc out of my skincare routine

Smh... yeah

On the topic jade rollers: could you talk about the method of gua sha? Because that's a total different thing and definetly more effective in so many ways
True. I came here as a suggestion after watching ten gua sha videos. Some of them are really informative so I'm gonna find a spoon and begin
I bought the Jade Roller to smooth out bubbles in my face sheet mask 😅
