I think you're referring to the beginning of the video? I showed all the zipper kits available on amzn. It's really overwhelming which is why I tried to save others the time and frustration of sorting through all the zipper replacement kits based on utility, value, etc.

I bought a replacement zipper for my winter coat. The old zipper had YKK so I bought YKK 5 but it didn't work to tight wouldn't slide.
I noticed my old zipper had YKK Vision number on zipper hard to read but think its 5YSL not sure of last letter,
Any idea what I need. Thanks in advance

If you compare the new zipper to the old one, do they look identical? Because sometimes you just need to open the new one a small touch (like 1mm or so). I'm not familiar with the code you listed above. I even checked the YKK Zipper Nomenclature (you can search it too), but I don't see the above reference.

@@efficientway Thanks for the reply. The zipper looks close to the old one and they both have the number 5.
Very good point on opening it up a mm. It wouldn't slide over the zipper. So adjusting like you said maybe the answer.

That's not exactly true. This zipper replacement kit will work for some jackets, but not all. Remember, there are a ton of different clothing items that fall under the "jacket" category. A "jacket" doesn't have to be a big puffy winter jacket (it may work for some of those too btw). There are light weight jackets as well. Before purchasing any zipper kit, regardless of what clothing item or general item (i.e. backpack, suitcase, tent, (pick any item here) you must try to access the size of the zipper you are replacing.
