    hello niel, i've watched the whole video but i didn't quite understand how did you figured out the chord progression, but how did you figured out the chords?

    • @neilchanmusic
      @neilchanmusic  2 роки тому

      Glad you enjoy it! The chords usually fit with the melody. Find which is the most prominent melody note in that bar, and find a chord which has that melody note as one of the chord tones. There will be a few options, then you can try them out and choose the one that’s most suitable

      @@neilchanmusic thanks neil! your solfege videos helped me figure out melodies, in the past months i can't even figure out the melody of happy birthday but then someday i just figured it out and i'm shocked, i think it's a miracle🤣
      btw everyday i just sing the major scale and my goal is to feel or hear the scale degrees efficiently, so far i can only recognize the tonic and the 7th degree or "ti"
      what ear training can you recommend so i can feel the scale degrees or how to get to your level when after hearing just a melody you'll be able to reproduce it in your head using solfege?

      Hey glad you enjoy my videos! Solfege training is a process, so you do need lots of patience. Even today I’m still training and learning, it just takes time. I’m designing some courses to take you through exactly what I do to train this skill, stay tuned for them!
      But for right now, keep doing scales while singing the solfege. Also try singing out the individual notes of chords in solfege. You need to design exercises to practice this to the metronome. Hope this helps!
