    Finally, a very clear and systematic way to arrange songs for solo guitar. Now I just have to practice my solfege and finger picking. Thank you so much, Neil 😊

    Hi Neil, your lessons on how to get started with fingerstyle arrangements are wonderful. Would be great if there was a seperate lesson on how to fill the space between the melody notes.
    God Bless!

    Ah loved it Neil thanks for the video. Whenever I try to make my own arrangement I get stuck in the harmony part I know my chords all over the fret I can figure out the melody almost but I am not able to combine at the end like your playing part where it sound so good at the end.
    It would be a great help if you could make a dedicated video on the combining parts like melody and chords idea , approach behind playing multiple strings appregio while melody is going on and I think there are lot of people who have problem at the end ( harmonizing ) even after knowing melody and chords in all position like me

      Hey, you’re very welcome! Glad you found it useful. It’s good that you’re able to grasp melody and harmony separately. Fitting them together is not always easy but start with the basics. Just play the melody while holding down the bass note of the chord. Try to play whole arrangements with just bass and melody. The rest of the voices can be filled in once you get more comfortable with it!

    Incredible formula! Any takes on your process of reharmonization and making the best use of embellishments?

    • @neilchanmusic
      @neilchanmusic  3 роки тому +1

      Glad you enjoy it Situ! Hmm reharmonization is quite an advanced topic, but I hope to make videos including the concept in the future 😊 as for embellishments and articulation, focus on the melodic line to make the phrasing flow better, use slides, hammer ons etc to connect the notes like how you’d sing it

    can you maybe do a tutorial about sheetmusic and reading them / singing? could get interessting... best regards
    Edit: at 11;40 u start with a E (mi) not with a do? Or is there a reason why you sing it like that? thx

    • @neilchanmusic
      @neilchanmusic  3 роки тому

      I'm using the movable Do system, where the tonic note of any key will be Do. So as we're in the key of E major here, E will be do. Hope this helps!
