    Its the exposure to the outside that truly deteriorates the protection and you can't measure that with 52 straight washes. What you can measure with this test is chemical resistance which seems to be pretty strong 👍🏼

    Can you use these products on ceramic coated cars?

    Just used this on my 2010 Grabber Blue Shelby GT500 and wow, what a glossy shine. I used the liquid version and was easy to use. Everyone thought I repainted my car. Going to put on the second coat next month as instructed. So far it's doing great.

      Good stuff, glad to hear it come up well. If you need a quick shine between washes, try Nu Finish Rapid Shine, saves you having to do a complete wash.

    Hello. Do you have to wait 30 days to reapply? My bottle I just purchased doesn't say that anywhere on it. Also is it ok to use nu finish rapid shine after a week or do I need to wait the 30 days? Thanks.

      Hi James Nu Finish polish is a once a year polish as demonstrated in the video, that said you can reapply the polish at any time to keep your car protected and looking great. You will notice over time water will bead less and this is a good indicator to let you know you may need to apply another coat. As for Nu Finish rapid shine, this can be applied at any time after applying Nu Finish polish and is designed as a top up shine, in between coats of Nu Finish polish.

    Does Nu Finish protect from damaging uv rays?

    • @nufinishaustralianewzealan4327
      @nufinishaustralianewzealan4327  6 років тому +3

      Hi Joe, Nu Finish sure does protect your paint work from damaging UV rays. In fact, we originally tested our car polish on cars in locations with high levels of sunshine in order to expose them to the greatest punishment. Our results ultimately lead to the statement that our product is the once-a-year car polish.

      If I put it on my windscreen does it somehow protects the inside of the car from getting damaged as well ?

    • @nufinishaustralianewzealan4327
      @nufinishaustralianewzealan4327  6 років тому

      Hi Chan, good question, applying Nu Finish to your windscreen to protect the interior of your car from UV damage would work but not nearly as well as applying an interior UV surface protectant. Once applied it may be hard to see if you have applied an even surface coverage unlike when applying to a painted surface. Also, you may have sections that degrade due to windscreen wiping and other physical contact, this will allow more UV to pass through. So we would not be confident in using it as your only source of UV protection on Glass, it will help though, and as a bonus it will act as a water repellent! If you are looking to protect the interior hard surfaces of your vehicle from UV damage you may want to consider trying our multi surface protectant - Nu Vinyl www.nufinish.com.au/products/protectant

    It has to last at least 5 months for me because that is how long winter is . I dont have garage . Is the shine and protection equal to carnuba waxes ?

    • @nufinishaustralianewzealan4327
      @nufinishaustralianewzealan4327  5 років тому

      Hi David a correctly applied coat of Nu Finish should provide both UV and weather protection for up to a year. Best part is the shine will be as good or better than what you could hope to get from a traditional Carnuba wax product but with easy application and long lasting results.

    The water still beads, huh?
    I am no chemist, hydro-engineer, or an expert on automotive paint coatings, but I think it is better if the water flows off the car in sheets, rather than have it hang around in small beads and wait for it to evaporate.
    Yes, I am old enough to remember the 52 carwashes adverts from the 1980's and even as a kid, I thought these claims were garbage and a bad idea. I am also old enough to have owned the same car for 18 years and the paint and clearcoat still look great, despite NEVER having used Nu-Finish or any self-applied automotive wax or coating.

      Hi Maurauder you sure can. There is no problem whatsoever applying further coats of spray shine products to a Nu Finish coated car to give you the extra shine you are looking for.

      Hi Matt, the fine cutting compound in Nu Finish will help to remove those pesky swirl marks. However for more pronounced swirl marks we suggest you give Nu Finish Scratch Doctor a go as its specially designed to help remove more troublesome swirl marks. www.nufinish.com.au/products/scratch-doctor

    I've used the product in the past had a great account of itself....yes it last a year. But will it bead at day 300 or day 215 like day one no....but it will provide a means of protection. Am driving a 6 mo old Nissan versa 2018 model. Am taking last Saturday of the month and detail the car seats shampooing carpets also. Scott guard both going to rainx the glass final process will be the one year wax. But I figure around late Feb be a nice sunny weekend to do touch up on hood roof and trunk. Just to get thru spring showers...

  • @InvincibleMegaBeast

    this stuff gives me white little spots like powders when buffing it off. It's a headache because i have to use a detail spray to wipe it off.

    • @nufinishaustralianewzealan4327
      @nufinishaustralianewzealan4327  6 років тому

      Hi Zarkon its quite normal for Nu Finish to leave a white powdery film in between applying the liquid or paste and buffing it off. It is important you let Nu Finish dry on the surface of your car prior to buffing off for best results. If after polishing you still have some residue left over this can easily be removed with further buffing or with a slightly damp cloth. To reduce the amount of residual polish left after buffing try reducing the amount of Nu Finish you apply, remember a little goes a long way.

      Hi Ron the car wash test is designed to show how well just one coat of Nu Finish will last. Whilst it’s hard to account for everyday weather wear we still reckon it’s a pretty impressive result.

      I'm not complaining about the product. I clayed my car and applied a coat of Nu Finish yesterday and it looks great. 2015 Red Camaro Black convertible top. People walking by said if it gets any shinier I'll blind people on the road. Now I can run it through the car wash 52 times to make sure.

    • @aydentheninja877

      Ron Cox if your dumb enough to go though even 1 automatic carwash in your Camaro than you don't deserve to have one it scratches the shit out of it and burns the paint with the chemicals used it the industrial strength soap then blasts your paint with a high pressure washer only dummies and lazy fcks use auto washes

      I didn't know that "whilst" is an actual word. About NuFinish now, This product has been on the shelves all over the country for how many years now.
      Ron's makes a very good point, and why hasn't the manufacturer staked it's claim on this 52 car wash business by actually taking a year to run a few cars through the car wash to see how it would handle it?

  • @MasterofPlay7
    @MasterofPlay7 7 років тому +2

    why call it a polish? It's misleading.....

    • @randymorobitto5453
      @randymorobitto5453 7 років тому

      MasterofPlay7 - It's a marketing thing... It doesn't have Carnauba, Montan, etc., and of they called it a Sealant, it would confuse the average consumer. The simple fact that you're watching any of these videos puts you ahead of probably 50% of the "general populace." If you actually USE something on your vehicle, you're probably ahead of 80% of the people. Most of the people I know (U.S.) will spend thousands on a new vehicle, and MAYBE run it through a car wash twice a year.

    • @GainingDespair
      @GainingDespair 6 років тому

      It's old mostly, it's a sealant by definition however 90% of sealant's just use wax as the category brand for people to easily associate the purpose of it. At the time it came out it shared many characteristics of traditional polish but polish has changed over decades and so it really doesn't fit the category any longer but had name recognition so I believe they didn't change it just in case people would assume it was a different product?
      Nu Finish has changed a good bit over the past ... well nearly 80 years and it's hard to say when it really came out as they have changed with time so do you go by name or the original product launch? First it was nu enamel (which came out in the early 1900's) and was a true polish, but over time it's formula changed and so did the name. It lost the enamel part of it's name and adopted polish while also dropping the polish properties lol.

  • @ffflll7224
    @ffflll7224 4 роки тому

    "Water still beads", lol, not getting any more stupid than that. Water beads is single worst thing to prevent. Beads leave spots when dry and potentially work as lenses focusing sunlight on paint.
