    Back in the day, my father and I would use this on his truck before the winter snow in the mountains, it was recommended on the bottle that you put on one coat and 30 days later for best results you put on the second coat and the shine would last a year and it did, as a matter of fact, I use it on my truck, I put the first coat on in October 1 and the second coat on in November 1, during the cold winter months I don’t have to concern myself with the shine, just wash and dry and it shines.
    I love this polish, it has so many memories for me.

    I used to use this early 2000s. I purchased two bottles when I was in the states. We could not buy this in the UK and I now use other detailing products. However, I will say it was a great product. Always apply with a damp pad and allow to haze dry. Wipe off. As you said the trick is not to apply too much. I used it on bodywork, plastics and glass. It provided a great shine and beading power back then. Its bonus back in the early 2000s no powder when you wiped it off. Today of course most waxes behave that way with no powder. I always remember it having a very strong almost diesel aroma. Not sure what this version of NU Finish smells like. You did a great job and it certainly has a very impressive shine.

    I love Nu Finish was its all I use on my Vehicles. (2021 Kia Sportage EX AWD, 2010 Ford Fusion SPORT) both are a silver metallic color and both look showroom sharp still! I do my rockers, door jams, wheels and everything where rust could be an issue and never any rust issues. This product not only gives it a great detail but awesome protection as well from any elements. No wonder it's been around for decades! How is it to drive? I just Nu Finished my 19 Ram Today. Went to trade it in last week on a 21 Tacoma TRD sport with every option you could put on it and test drove it down the street and brought it back. It was probably the most uncomfortable truck and no mater how I power adjusted the seat couldn’t make it work for me, feel like one would have to be shorter than 5.9 to drive one. I have 10k on my Ram, but don’t think I could have driven the Tacoma 10 miles, a trick I’m missing. My salesman was like 5.5 and assured me it’s very comfortable.

    I've been using this for a ages now, maybe 20 decades. I just did my BP Mazda3 hatchback pearl white snowflake last weekend and the pearl in it sparkles after a Griot synthetic clay bar and Nu Finish. I'm going to rewash it with some Chemical Guys Mr. Pink foam cannon, add another layer of Nu Finish and top it off with some Mother's ceramic spray detail. After that, car washes should be easier since everything will bead right off. Do it before winter and the snow glides off.
    I use a condiment squeeze bottle from Dollar Tree and fill it up with Nu Finish, easier to apply, no glob. Same for car soap in the foam cannon. It's 2 for $1.25 now and not $1.00, thanks Joe Biden. Mr. Pink is $40 plus tax, can't afford to spill it.

    Whenever I get a "new" car, I put nu finish all over the insides of the car, like the areas of the door that are exposed when you open the door, under the hood, under the trunk lid. It keeps those metal areas from rusting, and lasts years and years because it's not splashed by water, or hit by direct sunlight.

      Good question Pal! You’re better off washing it right before you wax it. I have taken my old truck through a car wash in the past and then after a very quick drive home I waxed it. If you go through a car wash and then get it home right away that would work. If You live far away or wait a while after that wash that would not be advised.

      This wax has a some very low amounts of polish in it. It’s filling the panel and making the panel level with synthetic wax. Giving that amazing shine. The low amounts of polish Aren’t enough to harm your clear coat. Nothing to worry about with this wax. Thanks for watching.

    So if i use this why do other people say its hard to take off? And also i can go through car washes for 6 months without waxing? Does this keep dust off of the car too? And how good of a job will it do with protecting the black paint of my car?

    • @GarageGear
      @GarageGear  3 роки тому +1

      Benjamin Macalma II hey bud! Hopefully I can answer all these questions for you! If you apply this wax with a thin coat(because that’s all you’ll need) it will come off easy. Others are probably putting too much on making it hard to remove. I wax my vehicle once a season. So yes with this wax you could go through the car wash for 6 months. It will last about that long. As far as dust goes, maybe initially but you could get dust or pollen or just about anything on your car. Washing it regularly with keep that off. Black, silver, white, orange doesn’t matter. This wax protects all the same. If you regularly wax your vehicle your paint will hold up much better than if you didn’t! Thanks for watching!

      Benjamin Macalma II no problem at all bud! Yes I think this is a great wax given your situation. It holds up well, shine ups nice and is easy to remove. There is another good synthetic was (2 really) by mequiars. Their synthetic liquid wax and nxt 2.0 wax are also good long lasting options. Reviews on those will be coming soon! Also, a big reason why I call it realistic detailing is because we don’t always have a lot of time to spend detailing our rides! I know my wife would go nuts if spent hours and hours waxing my truck! One coat is all you need if you do it a few times a year.

    Hello everyone! I'm trying to better understand how to properly care for my paint. Up to this point, I've been using only Nu Finish exactly twice a year via a microfiber applicator pad. Nothing else. I've spent hours watching auto detailing channels like Chemical Guys and Auto Fetish Detail recently. From what I've come to learn, Nu Finish is technically a polish, so as he says in the video, it's slowly taking away the clear coat because of the abrasives in the ingredients. With that being said, should I follow up with using a carnuba wax afterwards to give the clear coat an added layer of protection? Thank you so much for any insight.
