I'm a retired firefighter and we've been using NuFinish for over 40 years. Red fire trucks & ambulances look new when we trade them in. We did each truck 2 or 3 times a year. Thin coat hand rubbed in then hand buffed when dry. Used on my personal vehicles as well. Great stuff.

I've been using Nu Finish since 1987. This is truly a once a year sealant. It also works well at removing and/or hiding scratches in paint. If you have scratches on your guage cluster clear bezels. Rub some Nu Finish on bezel and Wala scratches gone!

I saw a long-term durability test on an automobile hood that had been sectioned off into 18 spaces, with 18 different waxes and coatings tested outside after about 50 washings. Except for some of the expensive 9H nano-ceramic coatings, this stuff, surprisingly, did about the best for long-term water beading ability.

As instructed. Looked good, but I waited for two weeks as the bottle said. Applyed a second coat. The white truck looked looked great, water could not stay on the truck, dirt and mud washed off with a water hose. It is now nearly 10 years and it still looks good. I can tell the polish needs to be re done. Yes ten years great stuff!!!!

I would still recommend using a clay bar first to remove contaminants because, if you don't, you'll just be scratching up the clear coat as you apply the polish. Clay bar is easy. You just wash your car and then fill a bucket with soapy water and run the clay bar over the clear coat with the soapy water as a lubricant. When the clay bar starts to get dirty, you just fold the dirty part into the bar and use the exposed clean part of the bar to continue. Dry the car and then apply the polish as is shown here unless you can access a D/A machine. If you can, you then cut the clear coat with a compound and then a polish and then the Nu Finish or wax. I know it sounds like a lot of work but, it can be done in a day and the look will last a lot longer than a year.

I've using this product on my cars and boats for a really long time and I totally agree that it's an excellent product! Easy to apply and very long lasting! I run a charter boat service in Maine and put about 5,000 miles a summer on my boat during a 5 month season and this product still protects at the end of the season. Another use is on car windshields. I recently watch a UA-cam video by Scotty Kilmer in which he said that NuFinish applied to the windshield keeps wiper blades from dragging and making noise. I tried it the next day and SOB it works! My relatively new wiper blades had been driving me nuts and two weeks after applying NuFinish to the windshield I can still run the wipers on a dry windshield with no noise at all!

I'm amazed at how long it lasts, easily 2-3 years. I hand wash my cars and the wax in the detergent is enough to maintain a slick surface. Note: I live in the south with no road salt. If you live up north it won't last as long.

It is great stuff. I have a 25 year old car that sits outside in Adelaide South Australia. Not usually any freezing but 45 deg C days in summer. It cops a lot of sun and sits at work getting a lot of dust from a steel recyclers next door. NuFinish lasts about 3 to 6 months before I need to do a top up polish. Paint still looks new as it doesn't grind off the clear coat like some more abrasive ones do. and unlike earwax of unicorns expensive polishes, it is budget friendly. I does smell but a small price to pay for such a great result. I have switched over to a Turtle Wax liquid polish which is comparable and a damn sight easier to apply only requiring a wipe with a damp microfibre cloth. But it is dearer. Still a good product the old Nu Finish! Probably the only negative is the white staining of rubber and plastics. t can be cleaned off but the new liquid stuff doesn't need that step so more time to do things I want to do.

If you read the label you'll find that just about EVERY polish contains some abrasives in it. That's a part of how it works. Beyond that there's light and heavy rubbing compound. And of course there's the
clay bar. Wash the car well regularly, put a coat of wax (polish)
on it several times a year. Done. 👍🏻

I have been using NuFinish on my vehicles for over 20yrs It’s a great value & it works guys used to laugh at me for using it on my Harley saying it was cheap crap. They would spend hours with more expensive products polishing and complaining how hard their expensive products were to remove. That’s when I had the last laugh.👍

This was a spot on review of NuFinish. I dont personally care for it but always have it on hand. Its absolutely great for those paint mars you get in parking lots, fills up key scratches, and I use it on my work truck...yep once a year. Lol. Does it last that long? Not really but its a work truck. I do not use it on my personell vehicle or cycle. It would not hurt it at all but I just enjoy other products more.

When I was a teenager we owned a black ‘59 Cadillac, which I hand waxed every chance I got. It had acrylic lacquer and no clear coat. Rain Dance, which is still around, did a marvelous job of removing oxidized paint and saturating the color, making it appear far darker than Kit, which I tried once. It beaded water exceptionally well and was long lasting. I suspect it contained more silicone than other waxes.
From a neighbor who uses NuFinish, it appears to be long lasting. His ‘05 Tacoma, which he parks outside, looks fine. I think he said he waxes it only twice a year.

Putting any car coating/sealant on a painted surface is not the definition what a 'wax' is. Nu Finish is a silicone based treatment just like Armor All but with added ingredients. "Wax: Any of various natural, oily or greasy heat-sensitive substances, consisting of hydrocarbons or esters of fatty acids that are insoluble in water but soluble in nonpolar organic solvents." I would never put anything with silicone on a painted surface if I ever planned to repaint. It creates 'fish-eye' when repainting unless you add silicone to the paint you're using to cover the old. Does it work well for it's intended purpose, yes. Still, not a wax. My lacquer clear coat is not a wax, and it does exactly what you said a wax does under your definition. Also, don't put any silicone based polishes on furniture.. for the same reason. Even after removing the old finish, silicones remain and you have to use 'fish-eye remover' in your finish coat to make the paint flow evenly.

I've been using Nu Finish for 40 plus years. It's an excellent sealer with polishing characteristics. But what gives it an edge over many other sealants is that it is very capable of removing bugs and tar at the same time. I use it twice a year. For the money, a great value. I have compared it Ceramic coastings and am unable to see any discernable difference in shine. One caveat, do not apply to mat paint finishes or vinyl cladding as it is difficult to remove. If this does happen, a pencil eraser will remove most of the accidentally coated areas. Also, do not apply Nu Finsih to car windows as streaking will occur and will be next to impossible to remove.

Ive been using Nu Finish for a long time. Ive tried other waxes, but to me Nu Finish is and will always be my preference. I use the bottle paste in this video with an electric buffer, then I go over it again with the spray bottle to (I hope) add another layer of protection, and to get any of the paste I may have missed getting off in the first run. I know people will say "this or that is better", this is still my preference. It may not be the shiniest on the market, but imo its the best in protection
