You really have such an underrated UA-cam channel as far as how many subs you have. You are just a wealth of knowledge and the fact that you share it is a rare thing. You remind me so much of my dad who passed away 2 years ago at the age of only 64. Watching you reminds me so much of my pops. Similar mannerisms and stuff. Great videos! Thanks for posting them. I fish the Pompano/Boca area and was continuously getting cut off while slow pitch jigging. I added a trace of 40 lb wire and I land many more fish. I don't think it even reduces the number of strikes.

Hi Heath, Great video of you and Avi landing two nice fish. That Snapper was a monster ! I'm going to try slow pitch jigging someday. I just need a boat. I've been catching small Mangrove Snappers and Catfish from the shore and the local pier. Hopefully things will get better when the water gets cooler. I need to plan a day to go surf fishing. Heath great video. Been wanting to get into the slow pitch game for a while. Would you slow pitch over live bait. We have some great gag grouper fishing in deep 200-300 ft but the current rips 3kts on average. I've heard of some skilled guys slow pitching them successfully

Tie on a piece of 40lb 49 strand camo cable. It is flexible enough to let the jig have decent movement and will avoid some cut offs. Only need about 3 to 5 inches to a micro swivel. You will catch all the wahoo and kings cutting you off. You will also want to get rid of the assist hook chord and go straight to the snap ring with a longer shank or use some cable there also. Jigs are not cheap and you will put more meat in the box this way. Stay away from single strand wire....too stiff for good movement. You're welcome 🙏.

I use them all the time... any conditions... they catch everything

Yes you can.... but personally, I wouldn't.

when do you use spro bucktail and when you should slow pitch jig?
I use a spro bucktail for trolling and sight casting. I use a slow pitch jig for deep jigging on the outer edges of the reef in about 200 feet.
