Thanks to you Debbie, I now freeze most of my seasonings. Scallion, sweet pepper, scotch bonnet, ginger, coconut. No more throwing out spoiled produce.
I love her style…she explains it very good. I start cooking again because of this channel. Now my cooking is coming out even better because of her. Big up
Miss Debbie I want to thank you for taking the time to explain not only "How", but more importantly "WHY" you use certain cooking techniques. Your explanation of adding salt to the uncooked peas and rationale about when to add coconut milk makes so much sense, it may well be applicable to black-eye, pigeon and other dried peas/beans. BIG T'ANKS & BLESS-UP!! 🥰
Such a good teacher! I've been cooking for 60 plus years and I'm still learning. Just learned about a pinch of salt in the peas so the next seasonings infuse. Nice. Thank you.
Hi Debbie ( my sisters name ) found you today and thank god i did, thank you for your fantastic tutorials , I've now got your curried beef on the go and I'm now gonna make this rice , you explain everything perfectly. Thank you again queen lots of love from the UK x
Good morning, happy Thursday Ms Debbie. You are such a true down to earth teacher in preparing your meals. That’s a great gift from God...keep on doing your thing. Pray that camera girl was successful in her subjects. Have a blessed day. Love you Ms Debbie🇯🇲
Wha' a heap of cooking wisdom! The time and attention to detail that you express are the ONLY way us folks all over the World can attempt to bring the feast of Jamaica to our own homes! Thank you!
I think you are a wonderful addition to the human race, and have made a few of my days happier just by showing myself and others how to prepare foods from their childhood. You are a goldmine of contentedness, and as a Danish boy, i will likely draw stares when i adopt your accent after falling asleep to your videos. Thank you for for doing what you are doing, respect, family!
Depending on what you're cooking, adding ginger to a coconut dish helps in cutting through the heaviness of coconut milk & cream. You need that something to lift that flavour profile of coconut but you have to add just enough so that it doesn't become over powering. Ginger really is a nice compliment to coconut and aunty really shows that in her knowkedge in these videos. Keeping putting out videos Ms Debbie. Really love them! 😊✌
Good morning dear family. Congratulations to Camera Girl on her outstanding results. Ms Debbie, your pride was overflowing from your heart. You all deserve a big congratulations. God Bless you all. Thanks for the great tips. You give great tutorials.🥰🙏🏾
Ms. Debbie! I love the long videos! Even if I'm not making the dish, I put on a long video and do my own cooking... I feel like you keep me company and I learn a lot about your dish as well lol ☺️
Good morning my dear auntie Debbie, manners and respect. Yes I'm thanking God for my nephew who did very well in his CXC exams. I love me some rice and beans. Some Jamaican say they don't use it because it forms gas auntie Debbie. In Grenada they use the same water as well. Congratulations to camera girl on her exams. Keep safe, bless up 🙏🏽❤🙏🏽
Love the channel. I can definitely tell she cook with the true authentic yardie vibe. Ty for leaving it yardie, i find to often authentic is sacrificed for some American version of the jamaican dishes. I fell in love with the culture, people, vibes and food. What more can one ask for 👍
Miss Debbie you do it again wow you're such a blessing on cooking plus teaching how to prepare good food...don't stop miss Debbie that's one of your gifts from God Blessings ❤️❤️🙏 always.

I hope I’m not the only one who was looking through the cabinets looking for red peas all the while thinking she’s using red/kidney “beans”. Man, I hope I’m not confusing the names of the same thing. Y’all don’t laugh at me. I’m gonna try this ‘cause I shonuf want to make this. My momma always told me to pay attention when you’re cooking because if you mess it up you gotta eat it up yourself-in other words, eat your mistakes to learn from your mistakes. I’m smart as hell now although I’m still not a great cook. 😂 Thanks so much for a great tutorial and an equally delicious meal. ❤️❤️

Your are the best teacher. My challenge for Saturday is cooking this for 60 people. I will use four pots. I could not get anybody to do it. Thanks

Ms. Debbie I want to take a trip to Jamaica and taste your cooking! Do you cook for tourists/visitors or just your family? How do you prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom of the Dutch pot? Can I muse some oil when cooking the peas? Lastly, if you wake up in the morning and have a feel for rice and peas but didn’t soak your peas overnight, how many hours should I soak them? LOVE YOU here in Nee Jersey!! Manners & Respect ✊🏾 🇯🇲
