    To remove the coconut from the shell, just put it on the stove and leave it for a few minutes, and it will be easier to separate,

    Please be careful using plastic over heated food. It’s very unhealthy. Let’s look out for each other family. Thanks for sharing it looks fantastic. You can use some saran wrap or parchment paper. Can’t wait to make this with a real coconut

      It’s better to use a napkin or paper towel instead of the plastic. Scared of plastic due to cancer agent from it. I heard you say you were in a hurry.

    No need to wash Basmanti and Jasmine rice. Really, no need to wash any rice that’s sealed in a bag. Only loose rice that you buy by the pound. Information on bag tells you that. Do it if you wish.

    • @candythaglamcook
      @candythaglamcook 2 роки тому +1

      The reason for washing the rice is because it removes some of the starch from the rice which is more healthy and also makes the rice more fluffy/ Shelly. That's a fact not a myth if you notice the water looks super cloudy when you wash it that's the starch coming off there. Also there's no pre washed rice. that's false, rice isn't washed in water before packaging that's highly impossible but there's a machine that shakes the rice to clean it then they package it but it's not literally washed in water.

    • @sylviaellis4164
      @sylviaellis4164 2 роки тому

      That is true for most rice, but for Basmati, it’s not necessary bc it’s pre-washed and washing removes the aroma it carries.On the bag, it tells you that it’s not necessary to wash. It’s a personal choice. I only use basmati and Jasmine. My rice is always grainy and fluffy. Kids would tell me that they can count the grains. It’s the amount of water that determines the stickiness. Also how soon you turns it. There is an art to cooking rice. Jody perfect that art! She’s a good cook, you will agree.
