This is awesome - I love the focus on safety, while also highlighting the features of the jet. Production quality is top notch, and Johnathon is superb. 11/10.
As usual Jonathan, Great job! Your professional approach to flying, and the discussion en-route, compliments the quality of the Honda Aircraft and their employees.
Jonathan here, thank you for your kind remarks! I am fortunate to have worked with some very smart professionals throughout my career who have fostered good habits in me. These mentors have guided me with standard operating procedures, techniques for situational awareness, and the mindset that a good pilot is always learning.
Great video - you're by far the most informative of the pilots I follow and the commentary is really appreciated. It's really interesting to hear about the procedures, decision-making processes and insights into what it's like to be a pilot and how to fly these complex aircraft. The helicopter was "interesting" and I loved it when the controller said "TCAS doesn't help me". He sounded like a favourite but slightly grumpy teacher at school...
Hey, this is Jonathan. I appreciate your kind remarks! Trust me when I tell you that my colleagues who created the idea for, and edited, this video are genius. That controller at KAUS taught me something about visual approaches--TCAS doesn’t have eyes, I do, LOL! Lesson learned.
I am but a mere ArmChair SimFlier (wouldn't dare even call myself a simpilot). The HondaJet is my goto plane and Marwan did such a great job bringing it to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Love the video, always great to pick up tips for how to fly it in the sim with a bit more realism. I'll keep doing the lottery each week and keep the dream of flying in one alive 🙂
This is Jonathan, thanks for the comment! Funny you should say that, because aviation is not my first career. To make a long story short, I left higher education 18 years ago to pursue this full time. I am incredibly blessed to work at Honda Aircraft Co. Life is not perfect, but the good outweighs the bad. The people with whom I work are top-notch, and there is literally nothing else I would rather do.
Nice! Loved the flight and your commentary throughout. Oh - and i couldn't agree more on the helicopter issue...I' would love to hear more about that. Thx!😎👍
Really great seeing the consistent professional approach to all the procedures. It would be interesting to see some videos highlighting the more unique features of the plane.
Awesome content! I don’t usually leave a like on many videos, but this one deserves one for the humble attitude throughout, especially at 18:53 “A good pilot is always learning” 💯
Hi, Jonathan here! I appreciate your comment, because you just taught me something. After I looked up “shisa kanko” I understood completely. Pointing out important observations inside and outside the aircraft in all phases of flight helps me to focus and maintain situational awareness. Almost any single pilot or crew will have callouts in their standard operating procedures to do the same. And the fact that your term is Japanese is quite appropriate!
@@HondaJetTV It is a really helpful skill to have, doesn't cost anything in terms as effort but gives you the edge on sotting issues and things that may catch you out. Love the videos.
I'll never be a potential customer unfortunately but just wanted to say that with a great aircraft, aircrew and production, you have made a really captivating presentation. All the best.
Would love to hear the debrief ATC had for that helicopter incident so others can apply it to their flying if it happens to them, too. Keep up the content!
This video was awesome. Great piloting skills. Loved the way you addressed the helicopter encounter on takeoff. Love the jet. Makes me want to buy some Lotto tickets this weekend. Keep the videos coming please.
Great video. The Honda jet is a magnificent product. I supplied cnc metrology solutions to their sub contractors and was lucky enough to observe the manufacturing development in it's infancy ... 🇬🇧
Nice video! How about a video on extended flights - such as for owners who have flown around the world in their HondaJets. Have you looked into Turtle Packs to extend the range? The new larger jet coming gets added range, but can you extend the range on the current model?
Julian Macqueen and his wife flew their HondaJet around the world. There's more videos on this site like this one: ua-cam.com/video/lk-s6s3opWo/v-deo.html
As a helicopter pilot that was a no no...that was way too close for comfort. Helicopters are to avoid fixed wing traffic at all times....Thoroughly enjoyed seeing and hearing your professionalism towards that situation. I am curious to hear about the outcome and the cause of that. Always have to keep your witts about you. Thanks for sharing this video vlog.
I've been following your vdos lately , and should say they're wonderful . Having been in the Aviation industry from 1986 , Am a keen Aviation enthusiast . This Aircraft is exquisitely designed , the Avionics seem to be top-notch . Kudos to you Capt Jonathan , please keep such nice ones coming . Would like to know the all-up weight of the craft , the max weight in Front and Aft hold ( for baggage ) . Cheers and Happy Landings 🎉
Please forgive my ignorance, since I am as green to personal aviation as it gets, but I wonder the reason for the jagged, serrated prints(?) at the bottom of the windshield panels. There must be a strong technical reason, I suppose, because they are aesthetically difficult to see. Just wondering what they are for...
I really enjoyed this video and the edits! I "armchair pilot" an Elite II via MSFS, and am a part 107 pilot as well. So: what was the outcome of the phone call about the helicopter incident?
Many pilots at different aircraft manufacturing companies use test call signs to differentiate themselves with Air Traffic Control (ATC). The company and ATC come to an agreement that anyone using their special designation is on official company business, frequently for test purposes and may need some flexibility (for headings, altitudes, etc.) on that particular flight. Companies can also easily track their aircraft as they fly their missions.
I would have delayed takeoff to see the helicopter get out of the way. I would have landed "after" the Airbus touchdown to avoid wake turbulence. Otherwise, it was a useful and instructive video. I own and fly a Honda Jet, the best owner flown single pilot jet. Arthur
You can be a pilot as long as you pass your medicals/physicals. I remember it made the news when Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands gave up his flying license at a rather advanced age before it was revoked for medical/physical reasons (he most likely wouldn't have passed the next check and he knew it).
Well done Honda Aircraft Company. I’m proud of my pilot husband Jonathan, showing excellence in all areas of aviation. 👍🏻
SUPER!
He’s awesome. And he just might have the coolest job in the world
The HondaJet was my first Jet I ever flew and I was lucky enough to learn from Jonathan when he taught at FSI. Love watching him in the videos
He’s the best!
yes ur right....my dream this flight must buy in future
This is awesome - I love the focus on safety, while also highlighting the features of the jet. Production quality is top notch, and Johnathon is superb. 11/10.
Dear Honda Executives,
Please support them and give us more content 💯 We love the videos ❤
Yours truly.

I love the single pilot videos! We actually get to see single pilot Jets with single pilot operations.
Glad to hear it - thank you!
Always get excited when I see a Honda jet at my local airport. They’re just so cool!!
I agree… We get the occasional one at KCDW and they usually park it so you can see it from the main road.
Stationed at Bergstrum AFB in 1974 good to see the changes.

Very professional yet fun to watch!
Doesn't remind me of the dry training videos we have to watch at work.
Love it! keep the videos coming - makes me want to quit my job and become a pilot!

Anything happen about that helicopter?
Definitely keep up this content. Great video.
Thanks for the comment. We hope to make more like this!

Love the start button! Reminds me of the one on the S2000!
I love this jet and your flight was amazing!!
That was so awesome and inspiring great job looking forward for more content like that
Really great seeing the consistent professional approach to all the procedures. It would be interesting to see some videos highlighting the more unique features of the plane.
He could be also an actor. 👍🏻 good job captain
Is this the time when I say, “I’m not a real pilot, but I play one on T. V.”?
What a nice test, with wonderful journey of the day....thank you to let us know more about Honda Jet ability...Love it ...❤❤❤
Fantastic flight, i'd love to fly in one of those one day.
Great flying the Honda jet with you!! I sure hope one day to fly one of these amazing aircraft myself 🙏🏻
would be interested if there was any follow up regarding the helicopter incident.
...1 heck of an advertizement ad ;) hehehe thanks for the ride!! I still like the ''platform''
I always wondered if some smaller jet engines could have saved the BEECH2000's and ummm made them faster and go further or something ;)

See a bit of shisa kanko in the way you fly, I like it.

I do love your content thank you for your effort in time and this video
So cool! Well done Jonathan 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Great job, Jonathan. Always happy to fly along with you. Bob

That makes two of us. And I am pretty sure you would appreciate an update as much as I would.
Nice. Finally something that makes me forget about a TBM.
This video was awesome. Great piloting skills. Loved the way you addressed the helicopter encounter on takeoff. Love the jet. Makes me want to buy some Lotto tickets this weekend. Keep the videos coming please.
Nice flight. What was the outcome of that 'incident' with the helicopter at the end of the runway?
Watching Honda Jet videos from Guyana. Great videos. Keep making them. Safe flights and cushioned landings.
Amazing video 👍🏻. I’m dreaming to get type rating and fly that bird too 🙌🏻
Great video. The Honda jet is a magnificent product. I supplied cnc metrology solutions to their sub contractors and was lucky enough to observe the manufacturing development in it's infancy ... 🇬🇧

Great pilot, very informative. What happened with helicoper hoovering at the end of the runway, when you were taking off?
Thanks for the informative audio. You have given me a couple of needed facts, much thanks !
Nice. Thanks for taking us along. Cheers!
Was your call sign Honda Jet or Honda test? Also, what happened with the helicopter?
This was very interesting 😂n I enjoyed watching n his commentary explanation thanx
Thanks for the MOnroe Love, Im a resident keep inspiring!
Amazing Pilot . He gives cool dad vibes
Honda call me! Really wanna fly this gorgeous jet!

Awesome video brother, i just bought my honda jet…….. in Microsoft Flight Simulator of course 😅
A wonderful aircraft and a professionally trained nice pilot, probably a former USAAF captain.
I can't wait to order mine! I like the Red and White! I want Leopard interior in mine!
did you get any ''training'' or get to get some TRAINING GIVEN TO ANOTHER ... re: that helo ''seperation'' sitch?? :)
Great darth Vader . . . ."no Luke...I am your Hondajet'
Thanks for the video! Honda makes a great jet! Nice flying!

Hey man, nice editing.
Hey, thanks!
what happened with copter situation?
Is that the same guy who flew from the honda base to zurich...?
Great video. Keep them coming. Out of curiosity, what did you find out about the helicopter that crossed the runway on take off?
At least you didn’t say fish finder 😂 great flight great video thanks!
Lmao sassy Austin tower over there, "sir look out the window, your TCAS does not help me"
Nice flight and did you see anybody from Duck Dynasty when you landed at Monroe, Louisiana??
I love the HondaJet in fact I’ve seen a HondaJet In real life registered N71TS. Good jet!

Great video, Great Pilot, Great content.
Anyone know what the reason for the jagged design on the window ?
Question, why were you flying at 34,000 feet with a hundred not headwind? What were the winds at 22,000 feet?
What’s the advantage of using the Honda Test 53 call sign over the N number?
Many pilots at different aircraft manufacturing companies use test call signs to differentiate themselves with Air Traffic Control (ATC). @@HondaJetTV Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question. It’s greatly appreciated.
What happened with the helicopter?
Lovely! Just lovely!
Does the Honda Jet have adequate braking if passed V1?
Im going to be at EBACE this year. Is there anyway i would be able to take a tour of the plane?
The Lambos are there to remind you that if you are watching this channel, you probably can't afford the plane.
I hope the runway is smoother than I 20 11:56
I wish Honda made a bigger full size model, circa a lear 60 or g450
Looking great.
I would have delayed takeoff to see the helicopter get out of the way.
I would have landed "after" the Airbus touchdown to avoid wake turbulence. Otherwise, it was a useful and instructive video.

Arthur
Why is this flight under Part 91 operations and not under Part135 Operations?
at what altitude do you have to wear mask? and if had 2nd person aboard, no mask?
I’m wondering until what age you can be a pilot if a private jet? Thnks
You can be a pilot as long as you pass your medicals/physicals. I remember it made the news when Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands gave up his flying license at a rather advanced age before it was revoked for medical/physical reasons (he most likely wouldn't have passed the next check and he knew it).
Instead of having lambos around the plane, why not have Acura NSX’S or other Honda fast cars. Like even the S2000
Because "fast" Honda cars are boring.
Good work.
Awesome plane!
I had to click the like button after that Darth Vader impression 👍
Did you get your clearance...from Clarence? (LOL)
Just like my Civic
I’m guessing that helicopter operation is worth the ASAP report
Use VTEC engine ?
