No way. I was on this. It was one of my final shouts before transferring out. 3 trucks were sent because the person called 999 and said a bus and car had collided and set fire to each other. Obviously when we arrived, we just found the BWM was on fire.
@@billyweir714 We were told by control, upon arrival that we weren’t needed as it was just a car fire, so to turn around and let tooting handle it. We told them that we were here now, and tooting weren’t (beat them on their own ground) so they let us carry on. They told tooting to turn around, but tooting were just arriving when that message was sent, so they let them carry on. Control got on to Battersea’s FRU but they were almost on top of it too, so they just got stuck in the traffic on the duel carriageway, unable to move backwards. So they just came forward and met us.
They use no air packs and a hose reel. Any true professional in the US can do just as good of a job if not better, with pre-connects and SCBAs . Your comment reveals your ignorance.
@@Balanceoftimethey are working in the open and not against the wind. What I comment was about the speed of working, they worked fast . I use SCBA whenever the situation demands it, Sometimes just a full facial mask with filters in forest fires. Here in the first attack they are forgiven once again because they are in the open outside. 90% of car fires videos in US they take too long to get water in the nozzle that is a fact. I am not saying you couldn't do with a pre connect. I even say you should must do. Because in USA sometimes you also see FF with packs but not connected to the mask and sometimes in more demanding situations than this. Ignorant sorry I am not maybe I didn't explain myself correct in first place.
not always,in the 20+ years as a firefighter we get response calls that are sometimes not as they seem until we arrive at the incident,as you can see from the video captured the person or persons claimed that 2 vehicles were included in the incident which was false, this springboarded extra applainces & rapid response paramedic at the scene.
@@moahmad A massively overstated issue. Look at countries that have a high proportion of EV's amongst the general public (e.g. Norway) and find out if they have significant issues with fires.

It was scary. You guys do amazing job. Hats off and thank sir. You guys put your life in danger for everyone.
Would a stop message not be sent when the first machine arrived?

@@billyweir714 No, It would be when the Fire is out and when the Engines are Declared to go after Scene is safe.
Very fast FF putting a nozzle in operation, that's the way to go. We need to send this video to our colleagues in USA to see if they can learn...
High pressure hosereel, water was on the car in under 30 seconds.

@@dubster4173 totally agree, we would use our ba every time.

Is the P D A for a “car” fire in London always two pumps ?

Thank you for the comprehensive response, much appreciated.

Anyone care to tell us exactly where this happened instead of just waffling on with the obvious.
It was on near the underpass.
Note how easily this car is extinguished compared to an EV!!!!!!!
Thats an issue with Ev's

did the bus get on fire as well? 💝
Anyone fancy a ice cold beer🍺🍺 👍🍺🍺
That is so scary I wonder what caused it.
No idea but was scary though. Everyone was safe
Tue bus behind it is dangerous and i wonder what caused the fire

I bet the police did him for being on a crossing as well
Hope it doesn't make a mess of the road surface.
Talk about the obvious commentary on what everyone can see is going on and the over dramatics...
OIC, why are you're crew not in BA. Come on really! Standards approach for all vehicle fires nowadays. No excuses.
