I must've watched your titanic sinking video 50 times when I was in tgird grade. Back then, we didn't have ultra realistic sinking animations. Thanks for this small burst of nostalgia.
This is a peice of art! I have always had an interest in the Titanic and to see this come to life is awesome, all the time spent making it accurate and the smallest details worked out from lighting to stack smoke is fantastic, plus actually able to get it in the water and sail it. Great work!
3:00 it wasn't a dummy but was fully functional and vented engine and exhaust gases. It had smoke come out, but just less than the other 3. I do love the model though!
The fourth stack vented the turbine compartment-which was also watertight, and the first- and second- class galleys. Coloring of the lights is excellent, the old ships bulbs were far from white.
DON'T YOU DARE SINK THAT MODEL. 1,130 hand drilled portholes, straws to create the correct warm lighting effect, brilliant. Excellent super detailed Titanic scale model! Great Work! The time and effort going into this heavy modified, 1/350th scale operating Titanic, we're incredible!
“Amazing” this is simply common knowledge. Anyone who has watched any “list” video on titanic would know this. Also the dummy funnel was to ventilate the engine room and it was so the ships looked larger than The Mauretania and the Lusitania

Looks good, thanks for another video. I was hoping the tug Brooklyn would make an appearance, but then I realized the Titanic would be 28' long in 1:32 scale!
The fourth stack was not a dummy added for looks and it did work. It was used as a vent for various rooms inside the ship and I think the kitchen. So it didn't have as much smoke as the others, but it still was not for looks. (Also, yes I know this video is old but I just wanted to point this out.)

Also I’m interested in your help I’m 13 and I’m currently building a minicraft 1/350 titanic model and I need some tips from great model builders like you! So is there any way of contacting you for any further questions?
The deck looks yellow, which is inaccurate, the decks were made from a light pine for the superstructure and a darker tone of teak for the forecastle and poop decks. Assuming they used the box the anti fouling should be atsf mineral brown

You guys where my childhood. I remember watching your titanic videos and the huge navel ship. Here's a suggestion and a question: can you make a boat or a barge explode and sink and what ever happened to the original navy boat that you guys rebuilted in 2016?
I'm looking to make my 1:350 titanic rc only. I'm not interested in the lights or smoke. where can I get the motors and other components to convert it to RC? Thanks in advance.
We use: For radio gear, Tower Hobbies, they have a good selection of r/c systems + servos. Motors of all sizes can be found at All Electronics in Van Nuys. Good luck Christian with your project..
I would've liked to have seen in detail how you engineered the rudder controls and how you dealt with 'stuffing box' issues for your drive shafts. On little boat models like this I've never been able to come up with a good seal around prop shaft penetrations without robbing any power from the motors. How're most rc boat builders doing this?
Hey Rapidnadion I own a Minicraft 1:350 scale Titanic replica and I would like to know how to make the rudder functional as well as making the screws functional. I am questioning if you drill into the model to allow the propellers to rotate
We drilled out the lengths of the shaft supports and hull for the shafts. This way the propellers are centered on the aft end of their supports, where they belong. This was not a simple process as you have to drill from both ends and hope the holes meet up. The rudder is way easier; just glue an arm on the rudder post's top and drill it out for the linkage. Hope this helps, Trinity!
Great Video by the way. I'm working on a battery powered battleship of my own. Rapidnadion was my inspiration for my boats. My boat will be on my channel.

@Nobody Knows Most definitely. Even with the insurance that White Star Line must have collected. So its that silver lining that could be considered invaluable compared to Camerons love story. On a side note, I wonder what Cameron Diaz would call herself if she married James Cameron. Would you perhaps be able to make a video about the construction of the tugboats, or would there not be enough footage? Also, do you happen to know anywhere I could look to enqure about the rules and regulations surrounding model ships? Just not enough there to substantiate a video on these tiny boats, sorry steaming! But we base the boat on the size of the power plant, electronics and their orientation (rudder servo), and battery. We stack up the balsa layers to where the boat is high enough to support the weight of all the components. That sometimes makes the project a little top heavy, so then we need to add ballast.. a vicious cycle of sorts. No R & R's surrounding model ships that we're aware of..
