Mighty Number 9 was essentially like most modern Sonic games. It gets announced, fans overhype it, there are delays, and the overall product isn't up to par. AND ALSO LIKE MODERN SONIC GAMES, YOU CAN SAY WHAT YOU WANT ABOUT THE GAME ITSELF, THE SOUNDTRACK IS PRETTY GREAT REGARDLESS.
Personally, I don't even think the soundtrack is that great. Main theme is pretty good, though (though even then, this remix blows the original out of the water IMO).

I recently got this game to show my sympathy to Inafuna. I think the game is pretty good by my judgment. I see the places where most of the hate comes from, but I was able to work around them and was able to find plenty of enjoyment in the game.

This game was the first thing that got me use Kickstarter. I think the money was well spent. CAPCOM did a big mistake here. One of the best action franchises ever! Also very good remix of the theme song! ;-D
The problem with Mighty No. 9 is that, while it's definately an okay game, it isn't what everyone's been hoping for, and the blame for that lies solely with Mr. Inafune, whose mouth wrote checks his game-creation skills could not cash. Personally, I'd be happy to see Beck appear more often. Maybe in other games of his own, maybe in crossovers with the Blue Bomber, especially given the almost Biometal-like way his powers work.

As much as I agree with you, I’m afraid this series has fallen too deep in a hole, especially with the release of MM11 which took away any chance of climbing out.
