Honestly, I like this better than most of Mega Man's boss themes. 0:30 to 0:41 is the best part.

For a game that was mainly designed to taunt Capcom into making Mega Man games again and stop being jerks, it has quite a good soundtrack.
And it did a good job of making Capcom make another Mega Man game that was pretty decent.

My favorite is Countershade.
The melody and harmonies make it sound almost melancholic.
I think that's the point. The theme has a sort of sad tone to it because Beck doesn't want to fight his siblings but he knows he has to in order to save them.

Whenever I hear the music from the new e3 videos it sounds like it's been slightly updated again. I can only just barely hear it, but I mostly hear it at the start.

In terms of programing, glitches, and a number of other things -- Mighty No. 9 suffered too much to be considered made by professionals that had experience elsewhere. You'd be better off playing something else made by a third party.
It's not unplayable, but hey; a lot of people will tell you the first few Spyro games were great too, so everyone's entitled to their favorite ugly baby.

Nah, the guitars give it too much action for something like that, the normal "non alt" theme does however sound like something that could have replaced Megaman 3`s very quick level select screen... (MM3 my favorite by far)

Never played this game it looks fun like MEGAMAN. Love this boss theme.
I'll be damned if I didn't hum this track during all the boss fights. Too bad that this is probably the most memorable piece of the soundtrack.
Take a listen to the Challenge Mode theme. There's a lot of great songs in this soundtrack actually, it's just that the in-game default audio balance is so horrible the SFX drown everything out.
+Entity1037 I did crank up the sound effect volume down enough so that it's audible enough, and I just can't play any of the stage's themes that isn't Bat's in my head (and that's because it was also one of the oldest tracks that I've heard over the years) whereas even in the blandest Megaman titles (like, Megaman 5) I could still do it just fine. Perhaps this might change when OST gets officially released or if I replay the game, but I didn't find the whole soundtrack as catchy as I thought it would be, not the finest work of III that's for sure. Not saying it's bad, and challenge mode theme does sounds cool and perhaps I'll look into beating those.
Avi's theme, Boss theme, Ray's Boss theme, and Shade's theme are the best songs in my opinion.
People have given this game too much flak. Sure, it deserves to be called out for its terrible marketing and delays. But as a game in itself, it's still really good. I went into this game not really expecting much but I actually found it to be very fun to play.

Pyrogen - Annoying, has three attacks that look exactly the same and also has an insta-kill move that looks the same as his regular attacks. Easily the worst boss.
Cryosphere - Just as annoying to fight with ice physics and the 2nd phase requires you do a no damage run or you're not hurting it.
Battalion - Not bad per say, easy but kind of annoying still. Most of all, just an ok boss.
Seismic - Very annoying and hard for the wrong reasons. But his weapon is pretty sweet.
Brandish - An awesome fight and test of speed, skill and reaction. A very fun fight and definitely the best boss.
Dynatron - Too easy, interesting though.
Countershade - a complete joke of a boss, too easy, too predictable. Weapon is pretty cool though.
Aviator - Far too annoying of a fight, very hard to hit with normal weapon, couldn't beat him without Dynatron's weapon.
All in all for bosses. 5/10 only a few are fun but the majority are a pain to handle. The weapons are ok to say the least, bit too situational but some can be fun to use.
I don't like situational weapons.....but at least that makes Mighty no.9 similar to Megaman 2.....I mean, leaf shield is useful but only for certain platform sections and it's useless with everything else, bubble lead also suffers from that, and crash bomber....my god, where do I use it? it deals massive damage to small enemies, but big ones don't give two craps about your bomb. The only ones that work everywere are Metal blade and Quick boomerang.

@Randomstar I think the expectations for this game were too high. As someone who a) didn't play Mega Man until much later in life (late 20's) and b) who didn't get involved with the Kickstarter or follow it closely, I liked it. Not the best run and gun ever but I enjoyed the characters, story, and music.
Somebody ought to mix this theme up with some Space Jam.

It's similar to Mega Man but different enough that it shouldn't be considered a spin off like a lot of people thought it would be. I liked the story and the characters. The gameplay was good but not particularly strong. Some of the level design required you to get through a section without messing up, and if did but survived, you'd be roadblocked. Some minor fixes could have made this game much better, but I still enjoyed it.
Sounds more like a cyberbike run stage.

Cool, so did a ladyfriend of mine, was at her place playing the final beta today, played better games, but its still fine.
I'm just disappointed in the misplacement of development. The art quality in particular has less charm than either of the PSP Mega Man games and the dash mechanic feels sort of weak to me.

I completely agree, I mean sure it is very reminiscent of a Megaman (more like a Megaman X game actually) game, but it neither plays nor feels like one of the good ones... Still a lot better than Megaman X7 at least, that does not say much. It kinda feels like the first Megaman ZX(orXZ or whatever) just a lot less fun as far as the beta goes.

Why are all people so angry about this game? two days ago i had some time to play it and i wasn't able to stop. I was addicted. Yeah, some bosses are quite dumb. But overall it's not a bad game. If you believe it's bad i can give you a lot games which are worse. I had a lot of fun finishing it.

I'm beginning to notice a theme with most triple A games these days. Bleh plot, nah gameplay, but GODLY music.
This wasn't Triple A though, even at 4 million dollars. It was mid Double A. Triple A is like 10 million+. Unfortunately, a lot of the budget went into that insulting trailer.
Even though Mighty No. 9 was a pretty bad game... at least it gave us god-tier music to go with it! Just like X6 & X7.
