I wouldn't call it "decent". It's more kinda mediocreish bad if anything. Its graphical style isn't all that good and really does a disservice ot the 2 dimentional concept art, the level design isn't very good at directing the player and making things really fair, the voice acting's pretty wreched, the online's basically broke, and the overall presentation's just lousy I think. The reason it's getting all this hate has to do with the high expetations it set and because Inafune didn't really deliver something worthy of what it was a spiritual successor. Along with this other games like Shovel Knight and so on it shows that they could have done someting amazing for a fraction of the costs, but they just weren't skilled enough to. If they had the skills to do so it could have been what it was hyped up to be. Along with this the downfall of this game REALLY hurts other kickstarter games. More people are going to decide not to trust the platform and in turn less projects that could be good and may actually deserve it aren't going to get the funding they need. Plus I'm kinda miffed that the game was 3d to begin with since that style just looks so much better in 2d. Also the Wiiu version's trash since it bricked some people's wiius.
Isaac Argesmith While I do agree with all of your points, the 3d art direction didn't bother me at all. It just needed touching up. As far as level design goes, I didn't feel like it was too unfair or too easy either. Every stage felt unique and if you fucked up, you just need to be more mindful of where you're jumping and where things are moving. Like a simple platforming game should be. I'm glad you said something about the different ports of the game, because there have been cases where people have had it crash or just not work at all. But I got mine digitally downloaded onto the PS4 and it works fine. Also, this project shouldn't hurt other projects just because it didn't live up to its fullest potential. And that's where my issues lie. People look at Mighty No.9 as the biggest stain in gaming history, when it was really another way to bring Megaman back into light. Just because it dropped the ball on a lot of aspects, doesn't mean it wasn't at the very least, enjoyable. The ideas were there, just not finished. That doesn't make this game the end all be all of other kick starter games. It's ridiculous how many people are foaming at the mouth because of this....
It has a Megaman Legends 2 feel to it. I absolutely love it. Hoping to see this game continue to gain support and eventually see much much more from Inafune in the future.
Came back to listen this theme again and...well I know its been a little time since it happened but now that Megaman is back I feel this theme like something that was needed to happen in result to have the comeback of the blue bomber, specially how the "joy" of the song starts being kinda melancolic from the beginning and then growing up till the end. Its like showing Capcom how much we wanted a new MM game.
I'm probably gonna get flacked for this... but are you people sure this is the official theme? It could just be music used in the trailers where the developers talk about the game's development.
It is my pleasure; when I heard Mega Man was in Super Smash Bros. 4, I wasn't a fan of him, but I was glad that fans got their wish. I'm that kind of guy. :)
People seem to like that part, hm? That's the part that sounds quite similar to 'Beloved Tomboyish Girl' from the series Touhou Project. The character that theme belongs to, Cirno, is, funnily enough, associated with the number 9.
God i remembre the first time i laid my hands on a megaman game when i was very young i still love the franchise this envelops me in good hope from here on out.
Mighty No. 9 is coming out for WiiU,PC, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, and XBone, as well as PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS... the project was funded by kickstarter and all financial targets were reached to bring you the game to each console. They raised 4 millions Dollars US. You can read about it here.... www.kickstarter.com/projects/mightyno9/mighty-no-9
Is it just me, or are people making unintentional Touhou references? If this was unintentional, I'll explain it. There's a character from Touhou called Cirno, who is an ice fairy, who believes herself to be incredibly powerful, and is associated with the number 9. 1:26 onwards sounds quite similar to her theme tune.
This is the new game of Keiji Inafune he was the creator of megaman saga, resident evil, onimusha and Street Fighter he was the real heart of Capcom!!!
He wasnt heart of Capcom. He was just lucky that Capcom were dumb enough to make him in charge of Megaman games , make him the face of it... But in the end we see his real self. And he suck hard.

I want a loop of the first 13 seconds of this
How about the whole song
+Lunatic a loop of it? I could dig that! :D
Oh god the shivers down my spine!
Looking forward to this!
Instead of making a 3D animated series, I'd prefer an anime.
Exactly what I said from the beginning.
the anime is called: Anime fan on prom night
That would be hilarious after that incident .
A game like this, doesn't deserve this theme
Best music I heard in a long time.
I love this theme, gives me goosebumps everytime! I need this game so badly!!
I am sorry for you.
Proud to have never been on the hype train for this game even from day 1. About time the rest of the MM/Capcom fanbase followed.
It has a Megaman Legends 2 feel to it. I absolutely love it. Hoping to see this game continue to gain support and eventually see much much more from Inafune in the future.
Man, i love this song
Geeze I love this.
Sad to see megaman go but good to know there's someone he's passing the torch to
lmao
Laugh my motherfucking ass off!
Darion Mackey Too true. Mega Man 11 looks solid, and possibly even better than it’s predecessors.
I actually enjoyed Mighty No. 9. I feel so alone...
I guess my expectations were so low it was great.
You'e not alone buddy, i love this game to death
Came back to listen this theme again and...well I know its been a little time since it happened but now that Megaman is back I feel this theme like something that was needed to happen in result to have the comeback of the blue bomber, specially how the "joy" of the song starts being kinda melancolic from the beginning and then growing up till the end.
Its like showing Capcom how much we wanted a new MM game.
so good... love this song...
I can't wait to download this on PS4, and this right here will prove to capcom that we still care about megaman
I'll probably get this on the Wii U, PC and 3DS and when I get a PS4, that too just to support them.
IAmVenom And now Capcom releases Megaman 11.
Glad I didn’t waste my money on this game.
Tael64 Bad move, bud. REAL bad move.
I'm probably gonna get flacked for this... but are you people sure this is the official theme? It could just be music used in the trailers where the developers talk about the game's development.
Okay, thanks.
I'm not a fan of Mega Man or this Project, but I did help donate towards this game. ;)
It is my pleasure; when I heard Mega Man was in Super Smash Bros. 4, I wasn't a fan of him, but I was glad that fans got their wish. I'm that kind of guy. :)
***** i salute you.
You know what? Even if this isn't the official main theme, it's still an awesome song and I'll happily enjoy it either way.
***** Really? You're not a fan and yet you still donated?
....you are a kinder then kind soul.
This made me cry tears of joy.
Awsome!
omg i love this soundtrack so much!!!! forever! and my most favorite part started from 1:26
BeST MELODY I've ever HEARD !
People seem to like that part, hm? That's the part that sounds quite similar to 'Beloved Tomboyish Girl' from the series Touhou Project. The character that theme belongs to, Cirno, is, funnily enough, associated with the number 9.
the birth of a new blue hero! :D
R.I.P. Megaman
John Griffin R.I.P blue hero...
Oh hi Mega Man 11!
God i remembre the first time i laid my hands on a megaman game when i was very young i still love the franchise this envelops me in good hope from here on out.
So good
I hope this comes out for Nintendo Consoles, or at least the WiiU.
Mighty No. 9 is coming out for WiiU,PC, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, and XBone, as well as PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS... the project was funded by kickstarter and all financial targets were reached to bring you the game to each console. They raised 4 millions Dollars US. You can read about it here.... www.kickstarter.com/projects/mightyno9/mighty-no-9
JetSetBaroni :D it's coming out for PC!!!!!!!
1:26 and after is so OP.
ProtoZilla Well it is apparently a remix from a Megaman city theme in battle network.
Granicube 64 Huh.
Still similar tho :P
Yeah, it is.
Sounds really good
the intro of the song just hits u so much like u can say things off your mind like a story or something and the intro will fit right with it
This is the new game of Keiji Inafune he was the creator of megaman saga, resident evil, onimusha and Street Fighter he was the real heart of Capcom!!!
He is only the producer, the creator of resident evil is Shinji Mikami, whom of course is out of capcom as well.
Inafune only designed Ryu and Sagat before he moved on to Mega Man...which he didn't create either, he just did all the sprites and character designs.
ReClass Battleship
Well ,that explains why the last residents evils where rather action shooter than horror games...
He wasnt heart of Capcom.
He was just lucky that Capcom were dumb enough to make him in charge of Megaman games , make him the face of it...
But in the end we see his real self.
And he suck hard.
Indeed.
List of successful kickstarter games that had a lower budget than Mighty No. 9
Undertale
Shantae
Shovel Knight
Bloodstained (funded more, but honorable mention)
Bug Fables
A Hat in Time
Man, it's going to be tough waiting another year for this game to get released, it looks so awesome.
Can't stop listening to this song!!!!!!!
Something something like a weeaboo on prom night
I don't care about what everyone is saying, I still love this game.
Tbh as a long time fan I don’t understand why people don’t love it it is amazing game!? The level design is amazing the mechanics are really fresh and breath life into the run and gun genre. Its an amazing game with very unique gameplay and tbh I would love to see a sequel.
The first Mega Man game was a failure but the second was Successful and Mega Man became a Multimedia Popular franchise so I hope they make a sequel for Mighty No 9 and it succeeds
@dangerrik koolman You are right
Wow! I'm so pumped about Mighty No.9! Take my money now!
Can't wait for this game!
