- Hey guys thought i'd do a tutorial on 'she bangs the drums' by the stone roses. Bit of a tricky one hence the 20min vid but still really nice to play. Just take your clean guitar tone and add some spring reverb and some gain and you'll be pretty close to the sound you need obviously with a little fine tuning. All the best
Thanks for watching. If you appreciate what i do. Please click on an AD every now and then. I know its a pain and it'll never make me rich but it may make me enough coppers to buy better equipment. Which, in turn, will hopefully improve the quality of videos that i can produce for you. Thanks again. Stevoguitar
This is a complicated bit! Thanks for the lesson mate.
No worries!
@@StevoGuitar 8 months on and I'm starting this today. Starting with the intro riff. Thanks for keeping this video around, mate!
@@StevoGuitar is the high e tuned down to d?
@@scottadams9770 No scott just the low e string.
Nice to learn from a guitar mortal. Subscribed.
Welcome aboard!

No worries!

dont know if you guys gives a shit but if you're bored like me atm then you can watch all of the new series on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my gf these days :)
@Parker Luis yea, I've been watching on instaflixxer for since november myself :)
you said drop d ... but when i tuned my guitar to drop d (using a youtube video) with capo on the second it sounds different....
Hi, i dont know what the youtube vid showed but....tune the guitar to drop d first, thats just the low e string down to d. Then put capo on. I guess if your just slightly out, the capo will exaggerate this. Hope that helps.🙂
@@StevoGuitar hi steve thanks for the reply. i thought you meant tune the whole guitar to a drop d tuning- not just the bottom e string.. now i know. thanks for the vid
@909mrwill drop D... not open tuned to D.. different tuning altogether another is DADGAD.
can you do “new town velocity” by Johnny Marr
Was going to do that a while ago. Must get on to it again.Cheers
did you use a pick or just finger picking it?😯
I don't tend to use a pick unless i have to and didn't on this one, but, did try it and it did make some of those open g's ring out a bit better. Just prefer to use my finger nail thats all.
@@StevoGuitar just amazed by how clean your finger picking is. mine always goes with a lot of buzz lol.
