Eton Rifles - guitar lesson / tutorial - The Jam / Paul Weller

Another one for all those Weller or the jam fans. Have played this for a while but only this morning, after really going into it, realised i'd been playing it wrong. However, there are many places up and down the neck to play it but i just found this the simplest/ most sensible.... hope its good for you guys too!!!!!!!!

I wish you would finish it as a full completed song though, so I/we can actually see it gone through. (Have you got a recording of yourself doing the complete song, with out stopping through it?)
The amp settings/guitar sound is a great and this is an excellent authentic interpretation!

I don't normally because it tends to strike up a copyright thing. So spending all the time and effort gives me no real reward. Having said that i could do a separate one in the near future. I suppose it wouldn't hurt too much. Thanks for watching.🙂

I’ve never gotten to the bottom of this as to whether the verses are C Major to D Major or C Major to D minor. I only say it because in a live Jam Video Weller appears to play C Major to D minor in bar chords. On the D his barred index finger is covered by his next finger which means he can’t be playing a major chord. I could be wrong of course but that’s definitely what it looks like
