What a dayyyy! Had an epic time shooting with the x100v in Lisbon, and I can’t wait to get to know this camera even more. Are you thinking of buying a Fuji x100v? Anything else you’d like to know about it?
Thanks Nicolas! It really is a beautiful city. Portugal was one of my favorite places I visited in Europe, the locals are so friendly and there’s a lot to do. Plus it’s affordable!
super cool to see creators like you come to our country and capture the simple moments that I normally see every day and don't see potential on it. This type of content made me realize and romanticize in a certain way everything I came across in these big cities. Super grateful for you, and hope to see you here someday. Also, you should come to north portugal :))
I absolutely loveddddd my time in Portugal man, you live in a beautiful country! Life is all about the beautiful simple moments :) Next time I am there I will most definitely be visiting up north.
Thanks for the amazing photo walk. I never removed the Black Pro-Mist filter since I got my x100v 10 months ago. It gives the vintage vibe that I am looking for.
Honestly, I just really enjoyed this video. Its truly amazing to see photos in a place as pretty as Lisbon with a perfect emulation recipe and a pro mist filter. It looks heaven-sent!
It’s so wild to see other people’s views of Lisbon. You literally went to my street and even though I know it’s a pretty place/street, it really puts into perspective when someone else gets to appreciate it. I also kept looking around to see if I was in any shot, because you were in basically all the areas I frequent and walk my dogs lol Great video, great pictures, and it was great listening to you talking about this beautiful place.
I enjoyed the walkabout style Sean. I bought an X100V a few weeks ago for exactly that purpose. I turn the LCD off and use the optical viewfinder. I'll tend to dial in a film recipe then not review any images until I get home, or to a café. It's quite exciting to see your images for the first time like that, like getting your prints back from the lab, back in the day. I like the "Summer" recipe, I may dial that in for the summer here in South West France. I used a Kodacolor recipe for a morning walkabout in Bordeaux. I just love the results.... they all look like 1970s Album covers.
Hi Sean, my name is Frederico and I'm Portuguese, living in Lisbon all of my life. I really enjoyed your video and positive vibe. I'm also a street photographer and I love to walk the streets of my country like a tourist almost enjoying things as they were the first time. I have this appreciation feeling more and more when I travel to other countries and do I travel a lot. Perspective is something that is important and I guess most Portuguese are now aware how lucky they are in many ways due to all the attention and appreciation we are seeing of expats moving to live here with their families. Thanks for the video, it was very inspiring. By the way, egg whites were used to wash clothes by monks and population in general.
Enjoyed this one Sean. It served much more than a street photography vlog. It served emotions, identity, and knowledge. In the end, we seek to live a lifestyle with depth, which is also a consequence of our experiences. 🙏
This was so enjoyable to watch, great work. I loved the pics and how you shared your experience. Also that you spoke a bit about the place you were visiting, the random facts and trivia of the places and the cuisine, which a lot of photogs neglect to do. It adds so much to the viewing experience!
Wow this is some of my favorite content I've seen on the internet! Insightful, full of beautiful photos, and we get to see you enjoying your time and really soaking in these places! Thank you and please keep making more of these!!!
About the egg whites: they were used for ironing clothes, it's an old technique to use when you have collars or clothes that have some structured folds that need to keep their shape when someone is wearing them. And as you said, with all the yolks they started to bake pastries like "pastel de nata" and "ovos moles". 😁
Nice video Sean! The overall production is on point 👌 . Keep doing what you're doing please. I never get tired of watching your videos . Take care and have a great day!
Love the vibe of the video! and also romanticizing the idea of living there while watching your walk around jajaja Yes yes guilty, I do that all the time. Can you do a video like this of Bali?
This popped up on my feed and I’m so glad I clicked it. Loved the walking tour video with commentary + slideshow of still photos. And that Summer recipe you used looked wonderful. Looking forward to more content like this 😊
This was awesome! Really enjoy these street photography / travel vlogs. I'm thinking of spending a few months in Portugal this summer, and this video made me that much more excited for it. Looking forward to more videos!
Hey Richard, thank you my man! I will definitely make more in the future. Portugal is a loveeellyy country and I hope you enjoy your time there. Definitely will be going back sometime in the future
Nice video! I'm a big fan of Joe D'agostino's nostalgic negative recipe for an everyday preset. I think Lisbon at sunset would look great with that recipe too.
You did a great job with this walkabout. I felt like I’d had a real mini tour of the city. You’ve convinced me to buy an X100V and visit Lisbon. Can you share the film simulation setting of the camera when it wasn’t set to the strong summer recipe? I preferred the more natural looking colours - stunning.
i just stumbled over your channel, because i love watching videos about the X100V (which I sadly cant afford buying so i watch videos about it), and i gotta say - I really love your vlog and photography style. smells like a new sub and like for you. :b

I love street photography! Lisbon is really beautiful place that I want to visit. I think that one of the biggest reasons for me wanting to travel, is to take pictures. There are so many amazing places. I live is Sofia, Bulgaria, you can visit sometime, It is beautiful and cheap for foreigners. My camera is Sony RX100 III

Hey Melvin, thank you for commenting man! I appreciate the love, and glad you enjoyed the video. Will definitely be creating more of these going forward :) I hope you enjoy your future X100v! I had to buy mine second hand (full price) from Japan. They’re out of stock everywhere it seems
Hi Sean. Thanks for the lovely vlog, especially this Lisbon-one! Lovely place, best place in Europe for streetphotography. I used to live there for 5 years (Graca). You made a picture (2:22 mark) of a building where the daughter and wife of a friend of mine is walking through the gate of his house in Lapa. Lovely shot. Is there any chance I can buy a print of you? Hope to hear from you. Kind regards and hope you still have enough time to enjoy Lisboa. Robin
Hey Robin, what a coincidence! I’m so sorry for such a late reply, your comment slipped through the cracks. I am actually working on my print store now and I can definitely make sure this one is in there. Send me a DM on IG and I can get you a link when it’s ready (@seandalt). Where are you based?

What lens were you using
@@hazelclaypool1215 23mm f/2 built into the x100v. 35mm full frame equiv which is my favorite focal length
Sean, thanks for the reply
I’m new to photography, currently using my iPhone hoping to make the leap to either Sony a6400 or a comparable Fuji
I really love seeing how you appreciate the portuguese culture
Thank you! How could I not, it’s such a lovely culture rich with history and tradition. I’d love to get back there soon
This was great. More content like this, please.
Appreciate the love Ren. Thank you 🙏🏼❤️
All great pictures. Lisbon looks beautiful. I don't know why at least people from my country never go to Portugal when they visit Europe

I’m really enjoying these photo walks, they’re both inspiring and relaxing :)
Thank you for the support my man!
That moment you came across with the light and the girl…so perfect! That’s what it’s all about.
Right? I was losing it when I saw that. Such a beautiful scene.
Thanks for the amazing photo walk.
I never removed the Black Pro-Mist filter since I got my x100v 10 months ago. It gives the vintage vibe that I am looking for.
It's pretty nice hey? I took it off but am going to put it back on soon
Great work! Lisbon is such a beautiful city.
Thank you for the love!
A nice ode to a city you love. Might try something like this in a video when I'm traveling.
Honestly, I just really enjoyed this video. Its truly amazing to see photos in a place as pretty as Lisbon with a perfect emulation recipe and a pro mist filter. It looks heaven-sent!

Thanks for the love Greg! Probably one of my favorite parts about traveling is all the daydreaming I do 😍
