Just when I thought your videos couldn’t get any better you introduce us your beautiful mum. Those photos of her were amazing, not to say the others photos weren’t. Keep up the great work, thanks for bringing us along!
Hey!…. You got some of Faisal’s style, which I love…. And your pictures are amazing; having your Mum with you is awesome, truly awesome! Respect. Congrats.
the x-e4 produced the exact same photos too ! no need to spend $500 more, they share the same internals like screen, sensor, and shutter. only difference is build and a couple features like flash.
@@lazyeyedjake in hindsight my comment wasn't wrong- they share the same sensor and internals. The features you mentioned were actually what drove me to get the x100v- the ND, flash, and weather resistance[ with a filter!] were all at the top of my list.
Excellent vid Roman. Your Mum really is a lovely woman and a great Model ! The images of her in that strip of light wearing a hat... gorgeous. Looks like the 100V is making its mark, being so hard to get old hold off !!!
Beautiful video. I like your new approach with travel/exploration photography - I’ll be watching as I’m sure will thousands of others. Just don’t abandon London Town, please.
this video was what convinced me to purchase the X100V. I feel very fortunate to have gotten it when I did because shortly after, they became virtually impossible to find, even on the used market where I'm from. Cheers!
Another lovely video. You've really nailed a unique style and tempo. I've learned so much about composition from watching you work. That said, I hope you have more to say about the X100V as you get to know it.
Loved this video Roman. I have the original X100 and I adore it, she’s definitely a keeper! The 100V is absolutely on my radar and will 99% be my next camera. Your images were beautiful and your Mum is a wonderful model! Thank you 🙏🏻
06:32 that shot !! such a nice video, I keep watching all your videos mate really amazing !! recently was thinking to upgrade from XT30 to XT5, or to keep xt30 and get X100V still a tricky question in my mind .. cause with xt30 I can get similar resutls to x100v.. not a huge difference except the fancy look !!
Hi, I like POV videos that the photographer shares insights about her/his thinking about composition .. and the sites. Really enjoyed it and now a Subscriber. Thank you
Great video Roman, your Mum has the patience of a Saint with you, great images though, definitely worth wall space. Thank you for letting people see a more personal side of your life, as you did in the Lisbon videos, shows it’s not all business with you but anyone that’s followed you for any length of time should know that anyway
Really enjoyed that video Roman, great tunes too👍 we missed that part of Dubai last time we went , will visit that area next year. Keep up the good work.
Great video Roman, the street capability of the 100V looks amazing. It might have to join my XT3 in its stable... and your Mum is a natural, I hope she is on a percentage from you.
Hi! This is fantastic! May I ask what settings you used? Or can you do a settings tutorial for this camera ? Tutorial's for specific styles of photography. Greatly appreciated!
Great work! Curious... What were your focus settings and minimum SS with the V for this shoot? Without IBIS of any kind, I'm amazed you were able to get shots with such clarity and overall sharpness, single hand-held and while moving, no less. You must have some steady hands and a smooth walk! My V would never be so kind to me!
@@darrenwalters2903 He means he shoots with wider apertures like f2/f5.6, instead of stopping down to f8/f11. This lets in more light and allows his shutter speeds to stay fast enough to stop motion, or shake.
I've purchased 23 mm 1.4 for my xt-3 for friends and family events. It is ideal for close space, 2 or 3 people in the frame and low light conditions plus the background that also tells the story. But I've never used it at 1.4 in this scenario. So, X100 seems to be perfect for my case, and it could be my only camera, but my favorite is 50mm equivalent (33 or 35 aps-c). For everything I've seen on the video I would use 16-55. Thank you for your wonderful work!
Hi Roman, great photos! There is another part to Al Seef called Al Fahidi, which is the actual old neighbourhood. It has some pretty cool places as well as a few traditional restaurants and a souk, I recommend you have a look in your next visit. There are nice places to visit on the other side of the creek too. Old Dubai is definitely my favourite side of town, it has a lot more life in comparison with the more modern areas of the city.
I live near in this part of town. Best place to do street photography specially during weekends . There are more interesting spots the more you move away from touristy areas.
Damn, I wish I'd visited the Creek area while I was out there for Expo in November. Such a beautiful collection of shots with all of those harsh shadows!
Great content. I really enjoyed watching it. Dubai is great and I had a similar experience there. I loved the old Arabic part in Deira or even more to the north in Sharjah. Also when going there I always try to get my hotel near Karama - an Indian/Pakistani neighbourhood. Great people, food and lot of stuff to see. But again, thanks for the video. Can't wait to get back there when I get my X100V.
Fun POV and great shots! When I see your screen in the pov I don’t notice any focus points highlighted. Using tracking? Your Mom is so glamorous! She’s going to end up with a modeling career if you keep this up!
Thank Roman I going to Europe for the first time and have been obsessing over which of my Fuji camera's to take. Was thinking S-H1 with 18-130 but after seeing what you can do with theX100V, I've decided to take my X-100F with the WCL. Also, for some reason I never think about using burst mode while moving around. Looks like it works well at 250 of a second. Thanks again. Mahalo from Maui
Hey Roman, Great video and my favourite that you have done. ( ps not that your other videos are bad 😂) I enjoyed the accompanying music. I will look forward to your thoughts on x100 v and any accessories and ease of use as only starting out, as been thinking of buying this but like you said on the video seems to be out of stock or having to wait.
Great video, Roman. I really enjoyed it, especially as I have an X100V ordered and I’m patiently waiting delivery. Out of interest, how were you focusing most of the quick shots? It was hard to see the camera screen due to the bright light. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend. I’m looking forward to seeing what else you create with that beautiful camera.
Hei Roman. Great places and great video! The video was so relaxing that I actually rewatched it a couple of times 😁. Btw, do you use any pro-mist kind of filter on your x100v?
Great video Roman, you seem really chilled after the last few more hectic ones. Feels like you redeemed Dubai a little bit too. Was your mum filming the b-roll? She did a great job. Currently have x100f and tried two Vs but both made lots of noise whilst focusing. Really put me off. Any issues with that?
I would love to see a comparison of the same few shot with the X-T4 and X100v. I keep hearing that it has a "quality" to it but what's the difference between that and X-T2/3/4?
Probably my fav video yet (maybe it’s cause I adore my x100v). Lovely photos. The ones with you mum by the door and that streak of light was A1! Quick question, which metering mode did u use?
Did you use any of the built in filters, or were these all in standard mode with no grain, chromatic, etc added? Or any work in Lightroom? I ask because holy cow I have a X100V and these shots really look great. Thanks for the awesome vid and pics, Dubai looks amazing.
Top man, and some lovely shots. The ochre tone of 'ye olde worlde souk' was perfect, and even if the place is contrived, the lighting and space is real, and the video and photo results show that you were in a better headspace than when in Abu Dhabi. That's the nature of life, though - rough with the smooth, learn and move on. I normally think that street photos with friends/family in the frame is 'cheating' but the shots with your mum show that it's not the case. Do you think you'll stick with the 35mm discipline of the X100? Looking forward to seeing how it works for you in Bank and some of your other haunts...
Fantastic! You don't need people for street photography. And I wish my wife was as tolerant as your mum, she refuses point blank to be part of any image. :)
Really cool video presentation here. But be honest, is she really your mom, or is she your girlfriend? 😄 Either way she is very beautiful and photogenic. She should do some modeling, seriously. Her dress (style and color) was absolutely perfect for the location and setting in which you took your photos. By the way you were right. The music in this video is awesome. This has been one of your best videos yet :)
Hey what are the settings you did at 4:30 in the video to be able to shoot continuously like that and that fast too while still having your mom in focus even though she was moving? How do I reach those settings and what do I change it to do the same thing on my camera?
I've had the x100s and x100t a few times. This makes me want to ditch my leicas and get a x100v. You can't shoot one handed like that with an M camera unless you pre-focus.
