I've been a Glaser Bros. fan for 40 years, and the other day I sent an email to Jim (the tenor) and he was kind to respond the next day. He said he appreciated the kind remarks about him and his brothers, really meant alot. He said when he was younger, he was really strung up tight, but he said live and learn.. btw he sang the high part on the great record 'El Paso' with Marty Robbins. He was 21 at the time. Now in his early sevnties, he still has a great voice.
Thanks. Love a good backstory. Yeah I am a huge fan of Tompall & the brothers as well. Sure miss Radio KEEN out of San Jose, CA; gone but not forgotten.
there will never be another family group with such tight harmonies as these guys were.. They really need to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame now
I remember spinning the Glazer Brothers when I worked at a country music radio station in Longview Washington 40 some odd years ago. I had my whole life ahead of me. I'm almost 71 now. Tom Paul is gone now. So is Glenn Frey and too many others. As a musician and singer, I've come to realize that every song I sing could be my last. I think of all the time I wasted and the music I took for granted. Yeah, I got to be a rockstar for a while though you know my name. If I could say something important to a young musician it would be this: Take your eyes off stardom and be who God designed you to be. Let that be your music. Be who you truly are. God made you one of a kind and put the gift you have within you. Use it for Him. You never know when you will sing your last song. Neil Jones
Tompall is so great. He has a very good golden voice. Bet I have ever heard. These bros are the best harmonies. God Bless the Glaser Brothers. Tompall is now singing in heaven. What a beautiful voice. Thanks for your beautiful music.
RIP Jim Glaser !!! Great music, another unique sound overlooked by Hall of Fame, the Glaser Brothers. Jim was just as great as solo artist. Thanks for Glaser music!!!!! Your music will live on.
Kris wrote it, and Tompall & brothers made it the greatest love song ever recorded. It played at my wifes funeral, and is still my favoreite song of all time.. There is not a "country' artist working today fit to carry these guys guitar amps.
What "Country " artist ? Country is nothing but soft hip hop these days...recording/broadcasting giants control the music even more today, if a kid won't buy it....it is not being made...
I'm 71 and this is one of my top 5 all time favorite songs. What a fantastic piece of music and thank you Kris Kristopherson for writing it and Tompall and his bros great harmony. Also love Willie's version. Thanks for sharing.

I had the pleasure as a now retired journalist of interviewing JPG at a gig in Hampshire, UK, back in the early 90s. It was the final of a number of gigs that was a greater number than the days they played them in. JPG collapsed on stage close to the end of the gig - put down to sheer exhaustion. At his invite, I later joined the band at their hotel that evening, had a few beers, enjoyed a chat, and subsequently wrote the interview for my local paper. It is only on the day that I make this comment that I became aware that JPG had passed on. It has been a savage decade of musical passings. RIP and serenade the angels John - it was my pleasure to have had the opportunity to meet and chat with you.
Sweet harmonies to the very end. Bless you boys, for all the joy you've given us over the years. Rest in peace, Tompall Glaser. I pray your once rebel spirit is humbly serving the Master in Heaven.
I hope this, and all the other great Glaser music stays on here forever. So missing Tompall already. RIP. He had the richest and the most soulful voice in country music history. In the presence of his Lord now. He was never fully appreciated for his many talents.
Tompall's version of "T for Texas" is still what I open up with every time I perform! He had a big impact on my life. So put another log on the fire and thank God for the Glaser's!
Love to watch these guys. Their harmony is superb. My favorite is the medley performance where they finish each others sentences. They need to be in the hall of fame, fantastic!
The Glaser Brothers had a harmony that was unique. Their music was a pleasure to listen to. Why they are not in the country music hall of fame is a disgrace to the hall of fake. They deserve to be.
We were very fortunate to have attended 2 live conderea=s and just were blown away with their very talented harmony at its very best!! Truly were alll time grearews!!
Harmony at it's very best! Tompall will be greatly missed. I have been a fan ever since i was a little girl. these songs bring back so many wonderful memories. Thank you so much Tompall, Chuck and Jim for giving us all this great music. Country music at it's very best
This song is a long time favorite of mine. When I looked for it singing karaoke, I could only find it listed as done by Waylon Jennings. But when they played it, I knew in an instant it was the version done by the Glaser brothers. What a thrill to blend my voice in with the harmonizing 'brothers'. R.I.P. Tompall

They recorded many great songs, but without a doubt my all time favorite will always be “I Still Love You” (After all these years). My wife always referred to it as “Our Song”. ❤️
Candyce, thanks for clarifying the situation with Chuck. I was able to hear his voice in their singing of "Loving her was Easier" and just like Jim and Tompall, he had a delightful voice and the 3 together was magic. And he was indeed fully contributing during this reunion.
Watching this clip is always a pleasure and I'm grateful that I can still enjoy watching and listening to such a class performance. I would sell my cat in exchange for a front row seat, but I know that will never be possible so my cat is safe and blissfully unaware of this terrible admission.

Here i am again listening and watching. Only recently discovered the third brother, middle back, had suffered a stroke at around 40 years old. I love the interaction with Jim and Tompall. They definitely should be in the hall of fame.
I lost my last post! Chuck (Charles Vernon Glaser) suffered a stroke as a result of a cerebral aneurysm. He was in his mid 30's at the time. The doctors did not expect him to live as he was in a coma for a period of time. The results of the stroke were devastating but with the help of his wife, Beverly Ann Zegers Glaser, good medical and rehab care, and a lot of incredibly hard work, Chuck made a full come back. He learned to speak again and to sing. He gained full control over his body with the exception of one hand that did not want to cooperate. The hand made it impossible to play guitar. At the time that this video was made (I was there), Chuck had stopped performing and had gone into business. Tom and Jim were still performing. If you just look at the way the three are dressed you can get an idea of their occupations at the time. It should be noted that when Chuck was on the stage his voice was part of a trio. He stayed toward the back because he couldn't play but not because his voice was anything less than excellent. It is important to remember the impact that all three of these gifted musicians had on their own unique sound. It would be a travesty to suggest in any way that Chuck was unable to fully contribute vocally in this and other prior performances.
Candyce Williams Glaser The music of Tompall, Chuck and Jim is my hobby and my passion. I listen for hours and hours at a time. I prefer all my vinyl. I can definitely isolate each of their unique voices. Each voice individually is magnificent but together they are breathtaking. Just my 2 cents. :)
@@candycewilliamsglaser5057 Thank you for the nice words about Chuck getting good rehab care. That was provided by my wife who was a Physical Therapist at Vanderbilt Hospital. Well it really doesnt matter now they all are dead crying shame they should have been in there years before they died
Such beautiful harmony from these 3 brothers! Today's so called country music is horrible.
This is music that we'll never see again. Thanks for posting this video.
I have listened to several versions of this song and I was right, no one can sing it as good as Tompall and his brothers! What talent!
