Tompall & the Glaser Brothers Last Performance - "Medley"
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 вер 2024
- In 1990 Hank Snow asked the brothers to perform at his tribute show so they reunited for this one night. It was the first time they had perfomed as a group in over five years and the last time they ever appeared on stage together
This video is my favorite thing on the entire internet.
Same. I watch it over and over and it never gets old
I love how they fade in and out of the mic
If you listen to them closely, you will notice that Jim steps in on the higher notes that Tompall couldn't comfortably do. Now that is an example of real talent.............and they never missed a beat! We'll not see the likes of them again.
Jim always sung the high notes ..it's on a clip where he tells everyone that he got the high notes .and if you listen with headphones you hear it ..but great great singers everyone ..RIP GUYS .
It's part of their" act". Like Jim is being pushy. They did it all the time.....look for the grins. Tompall was funny. miss them.
Three different voices that blend together and made the best harmony in country music and those guys should be in the country music hall of fame
Stupid Hall of Fame let them all 3 die without inducting them. Doing same to Gene Watson (he's 80).
You will never see or hear such talent again, May their Dear Souls Rest In Peace
Maybe in heaven 🙏
Tompall passed away in 2013, Jim in April 2019, and Chuck a week ago on June 10, 2019. They gave us such wonderful harmonies. May they RIP.
i guess it's quite off topic but do anyone know a good site to stream new movies online?
@Bruno Emmett i watch on FlixZone. You can find it by googling =)
@Ronin Alden Yup, I've been using FlixZone for since march myself :D
@Ronin Alden Thank you, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D I really appreciate it!!
@Bruno Emmett no problem =)
Tompall had a voice like butter. Add Jim and Chuck and it was like adding honey and a hot biscuit.Greatest group that ever stepped up to a mike.America is poorer for the loss of Tompall.
My late father was a big fan of Tompall. I regret now that I didn't appreciate the Glasers back then. I'm trying to make up for that now. Thanks so much to all of you who are sharing their music. I hope many, many new fans are discovering the Glaser Brothers.. They're the real deal. I would max out my credit card and fly halfway around the world just to see these guys perform.
Let's get this great trio inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame NOW!!!!!!!
All I can say is WOW.
These guys floor me every time I listen to them. Thank heaven I grew up listening to music like this. Makes me sad for the current generation.
I loved it when I saw that big smile on Chuck's face.beautiful voices .it broke my heart when I found out they had all passed away.guess I thought they would live forever.one thing for sure the heavenly choir sure has 3 great voices now
I loved Chuck ... He was my favourite of the group
The way the he conquered that stroke
Very inspirational
@@karonstocker5084my favorite is Jim. He wrote some wonderful songs and never lost his voice.
Loved them, especially Jim, could listen to him all day. So sad they are no longer with us. 😢
No one compares to them!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I never get tired of hearing Tompall and that Glaser brothers!!
There is NO ONE who can sing like these guys!!!....lyrics, tone and presence...love their music!!
The supreme in harmonies.R.I.P
this in one of the most fantastic performance I have ever seen of the Glaser Brothers. But, I think Chuck enjoyed it at much as anyone. They really should be in the HALL OF FAME !!!!!!
Hank Snow said they were his very favorite vocal group. They sang on many of his records. I’d put their harmonies about on par with Don and Phil Everly, and THAT’s saying something!
Damn, I have tears in my eyes. I never knew that this "1990 Medley" existed. I had read that their last peformance was at the Hank Snow Tribute but never knew that they sang the same medley as before. Tompall has the same leather coat, they have the same drummer, Jim is still singing over Tompall and Chuck. This is a classic.
Jim died this week. RIP to a great performer.
Dammit.
These guys were great, they were indeed super stars, what talent!
Chuck didn't get nearly the recognition he deserved; Jim had a beautiful tenor, but no one could outsing Tompall - He was the heart and soul of the group!!! Margie Tripp
Do loved these guys when I was younger never saw them preform they were fun to watch
RIP Chuck Glaser 27 Feb 1936 10 Jun 2019 you are forever with your brothers now and you will always be in our hearts
I saw Jim Glase Marty Stuart show and he sang Lights of Albuquerque and his voice was just as strong and clear as ever. He was on his ,70s. J to me was the best singer.
I was at this show. I remember standing with my dad over next to Hank Snow while they were singing. I was so young I didn't understand what an amazing talent I was watching! But I do now :)
Tompall & the Glaser Brothers were not just fantastic singer, but fabulous entertainers. I saw them at a fair as a teenager, but too old to remember where!! Thanks for posting this classic Opry moment in time!
Sadness reigns this year! First we lose George Jones now Tompall Glaser is gone.
Thank God Jim Glaser is still with us and singing better than ever!
Without question the Glasers were the best group ever in our real Country music!
I agree. I was introduced to Tompall with the Outlaw album with Willie, Waylon, Jessie, and Tompall,
Just love this medley
Their voices just blend right together. What a beautiful sound.
Take note children or you "so called" professional artists of today. This is how it's done!!!!!!! No pyrotechnics, no smashing guitars, no needless flaunting of flesh, no need for pitch correction. This performance is solely based on pure talent & something very much lacking in today's mainstream music as a whole. The way they seamlessly toss around the vocals & while working one mic is truly a joy to watch. After not performing together in over 5 yrs, they still have amazing precision. This performance is the pure definition of professionalism!!!!!!!
If this is the "real" JD Crowe commenting...Absolutely RIGHT ON with everything you say about this medley performance by the one-of-a- kind Glaser Bros. THE BEST! You, as another true and real professional player and singer (one of the best baritones working one mic), should know. If this is NOT the "real" JD, the same sentiment from me to you applies! Thanks for articulating so well all aspects of this wonderful live performance by these super talented Nebraska country boys
They are great.
This is talent at its best.
@@phildehli9399 Pure God given talent & no need for anything else!!!!!!!
love them, what great harmony !!!
It just doesn't get any better than this. I never get tired of watching and listening to all this talent. RIP the great Tompall.
What a beautiful blend of three brothers voices. Best harmony ever.
My God, what impeccable harmony!
This IS the Nashville sound I grew up with, arguably the best harmonies ever! Most of today's "country music" is just pop music with a country twist...just repetitive noise.... trash!
Keeping in mind that the Glasers had not performed together in about six years, this performance was perfection. They never missed a step in all that time. They were masters at work that night. Brilliant. It cannot be stressed enough that Tompall and the Glaser Brothers have earned their place in the HOF. Come on Nashville!!!
Agree none better,Love their sound
+webbjr37 they were fantastic
Let mdown easy

Today's Nashville and their establishment has forgotten the good stars, and now it's gone over to rock. So, groups like the Glasers are shunned aside. I was with these boys from their beginnings. Great group.
With such great talent thes guys should have been SUPER STARS, The best Voices around,RIP Tompall
This was truly a masterful performance of sheer talent. Their harmonies were spot on and they could change places in the middle of a song without a hitch. They just blew me away!
The brothers have voices which can't be expressed, they're excellently designed for the country songs they have sung.
I'm amazed how three of them work one mic 🎤
Watching them is as enjoyable as listening to their fantastic harmonies!
One of the best songs ever!!!
Proof that Angles not only walk the Earth but they sing as they do
WOW! Those guys were so good!
the real deal country music- unlike the crap of today.-- rip boys you sing in heaven now.
Some of the finest country music ever, These brothers where outstanding, Long live there music. God Bless

I cannot get enough to the brothers
Simply fantastic they were magical together
this is country music at it'as finest!.What a shame this generation doesn't know what country music is!
Very tight harmony, amazing & awesome talented brothers - their music is forever beautiful!
one of my favorite groups. it's a shame they did not get along so well.
Sad to hear all have passed , I met Tompall in the UK many years ago and had a chat with him for a few minutes. A talented group .
With all due respect to Larry, Steve, and Rudy, Tompall, Jim, and Chuck are arguably the best sounding trio in country music... that happens to be brothers. It's a shame the Glasers didn't get along with each other.
Genuine country music from the heart. Today's country music is CMINO, Country Music In Name Only.
Wow, these guys were great! Saw them years ago in Amarillo. They were at their best back then. I loved em when they were with Marty Robbins too! Thanks guys!!!
Such beautiful voices.
FOREVER IN LOVE TOMPALL GLASER... All his song beautiful.. love Naked emotions.
They certainly were the very best ! Best harmony ever
SHAMEFUL HOW THIRD BROTHER IS TREATED!!!!! 😢😢😢

@@marilyncallachan He did have a stroke, he made a remarkable recovery.
@@marilyncallachan ????
Nobody out there even comes close to the Glaser brothers or Tomball ones in a lifetime this true country music and only the brothers had to perfection Tomball RIP your truly missed thanks for great music!!
Inever get tired of watching these guys,I wish they were stillable to go on &on
This is the best blend of voices that ever hit country music. I saw them in Dayton, Ohio in the 60's when they were with Marty Robbins. What a shame ego robbed us of this trio's music that could have been.
Why weren't they more famous? They are as good or better than the Gatlin Brothers and their harmonies are perfection. Marvelous music.
ChuckGlaser of The Glaser Brothers has released an album 'That's When I Love You the Most' in February 2017 -check it out on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby. While you are there check out The Glaser Brothers' EP Album 'Rehearsal Sessions, May 1972' and hear the brothers perfect voices and harmonies ---fantastic!
Loved hearing them. RIP Tompall.
Love this but it is sad they won’t sing together again.
I saw Tompall, Chuck and Jim sing this medley at Wembley, England many years ago. Stunning!
God how I love their voices!!!
I sure miss all the talented people, and music that I grew up listening to
Hell, I don’t even play the radio in my truck, stuff on there gives me an Excideren headache
Great song choices. They sound amazing. Glad he got some Hank Williams in there, though all the songs are important classics.
Real country as it once was sadly,,missed....
Their performance was breath taking!
I love them more every time I watch this!!!
Great voices, great trio, great songs.
Great Brother Harmonies.....Great Sibling Rivalry.....I know coming from a Brother Musical Family. It's Great. Would not have it any other way.......
This is my favorite video of all times. I nearly cry that they broke up.
I listen to this every day Just never get tired of it. They were so good. Jim is still my fav.
I completely agree with you ,as I have my favorite in Jim also. I loved his song A man in the mirror.
Bravo!
Absolutely amazing.
Absolutely wonderful. These guys have such wonderful harmony, seen this before but glad it was posted again.
Awesome! RIP Jim.
This is just perfect. I love to hear them singing,
positively broke my heart when they split..........great apart but positively magic together....love the bros too
Just love these guys
I love these guys! Wish I could have seen them live. Jim really makes this performance great! He still has a great voice!
They were so great with their harmonies.💕
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE MEMORIES....TALENT OUT OF EVERY PORE
An hour just gets me started, when it comes to listening to these guys. I need at least 5 good hours!
Still enjoy listening to class. Thanks guys.
I think they are absolutely brilliant
Outstanding as always.....
Never knew of or heard of these marvelous cats ... love their voices and harmonies. Sad to know they never performed again after this 1990 performance. Wonderful seeling and hearing their voices so 'in sync' when they harmonize ... the music world is worse off for their absence.
beautiful music
Fantastic, style these guys have it all I had heard of Tompall and the Glaser Brothers but today I made conscious effort to search for and listen to their work and I'm not disappointed.
We were blessed to have these brothers for a while.
I love these guys . Fantastic
AND THIS IS STILL THE BEST THING ON UA-cam!
Agreed!
I never get tired of watching this
Weeze, thank you ever so much for posting these videos. Surely is some of the most beautiful music ever made.
kind regards,
Mark
Pure artistry. This combination will never happen again. The second song in this medley "I saw you last night" I love but tracking it down has been difficult.
Try looking under the real title “I Turned And Walked Slowly Away”. The original was by Eddy Arnold on RCA Victor back before steel guitars were using pedals. Marty Robbins recorded his version on Columbia and sang it on his shows in the years the Glaser Brothers toured with him as his backup singers. I’m sure that’s how they got so familiar with the song. The Brothers recorded it on an album in the 1960’s. Their album cut is on YT. Eddy Arnold’s and Marty Robbins’ versions are also on YT. There might be others’ too.
thanks so much for posting these great videos. we have enjoyed the glaser brothers for many years. they are certainly the best.
Thanks for posting these boys from Albion, Nebraska. They were too big of stars to hang around here long. Sure enjoyed hearing them play back then & sure enjoying this now. I really appreciate your work. God Bless!
Legends all 3. R.I.P. Thomas from England. 🏴❤
One of the greatest songs in true country music is Jim Glaser singing "Loving Her Was Easier", but the three of them together performed some classic country songs. Tompall was a true artist and Jim was also, and yes, it is sad they could not agree on what and when they would sing and who was the leader. I think Tompall was great doing "Put Another Log on the Fire". How about you???
X-2. I get chills listening to their harmony.
What a privilege to have these clips and remember what a class act the Glaser Brothers were. Their sound has hardly diminished with the passing years. The harmonies are beautiful. Real Country Music, Anymore clips from the Show?
