I really loved how that angry older chap started getting annoyed with you and straight away 3 or 4 locals came to your defence and to try and help you and look after you. Really says a lot about a community hospitality in my opinion, like they were so worried you would think badly of the area.
They were probably trying to protect the older man from an abrasive ignorant tourist. I'd probably say be a bit more respectful of your elders, especially seeing Pakistan was colonised by the British. He has a legitimate reason to be suspicious/disliking of a British visitor.
Nothing but friendliest and humble people. It's funny how Simon said "oh we got pigeons in UK and here they got eagles everywhere 😂 Old man thought you representing fake media news 😄
This whole video I was smiling. Usually in these sorts of places, people are only friendly for something in return. But the Pakistanis seemed really genuine and friendly. Good on them, would love to visit one day.
Another fun one is this guy who sort of hitch hikes to Beijing. The Chinese were surprisingly very friendly, it was neat to watch his trip. Mike Okay "China the media doesn't want you to see" video.
You don't get insurgents in the main cities, you are completely safe there. Only in the border towns and the mountainous regions would you be on danger.
Well mate, I’m from Germany where most of the people always are stressed out and kinda unhappy with life. We got everything but can’t appreciate it. Your video once again, sets it all in perspective. What kind and lovely people the Pakistanis are. Makes you think about what life is all about and if money and wealth is the thing we should strive for. Much love brother, really appreciate your videos.
Exact same here in the UK buddy, we got everything and it's a very rich and safe country yet I will admit I also complain about stupid stuff that probably doesn't matter.
I’m a 43 yo guy from Dallas Tx. I’ve been to Karachi twice and going back next year again for a medical mission trip. The people of Pakistan are the friendliest people and the food is amazing! Can’t wait to go back again.
Thought for a moment you forgot how to turn that camera on Simon! But truth is… your laid back demeanor & interaction with the locals is what we all love about you. Cheers mate & let’s do an American football game in Cincinnati come the fall season. Okay? Okay!
LMAO. If he wants to visit Bangladesh he should go to East London, if he wants Somalia or Jamaica, London again. If he wants to visit England he's got to go back in time.
Great video Simon!!! I’m originally from Pakistan but don’t go back very often. It was interesting to see areas I’ve not seen before. Looking forward to more Pakistan content!
Hey simen thanks for visiting pakistan. Here peoples are so kind, generous, and hospital as compared to other countries in the world. Keep going hope you will explore lot of Nature full of green mountains, along with waterfalls, lakes, and valleys in nothern areas like naran kaghan, sakardu, murry, swat and kashmir. Thanks
Just one thought. How many, casually walking around, women have you spotted? That's the thing with strict islamic countries. Remember, that's half the population being withheld from participating.
Come on, It's not even the capital of Pakistan. He only went to the slums. I had a chance to go to Pakistan, it is a beautiful country. I hope Simon will go somewhere else from Karachi.
This video makes me appreciate traffic laws so much. I hope that Karachi will become better, the people there seem really nice. Also, it's great to have you back!
This reminds me of Morocco so much! Crossing the street was taking your life in your hands. No crosswalks, no traffic signal, you just run between moving vehicles.
Simon so glad your back. Happy New Year. I came across your videos last year on the 21st of October 2023. Decided to start at the beginning and watched all your videos from the start. Started on the 16th of November and caught up to your final video from last year on the 16th of January. What a journey you've had since you started. Can't wait to see what you do this year.

Hi Simon and i am so glad to see you in my country. ❤❤ Welcome to Pakistan and I hope you enjoy your stay here. People are so friendly here. Let me clear one thing that in Karachi (especially in slum you visited), people migrated from different areas of Pakistan. They are from various areas of Pakistan; everyone with their own culture and languages. That old man appears to be a pathan and due to constant war with America in Afghanistan, some pathans dont like American people. Maybe he has misunderstood you. Otherwise it’s totally safe to explore Pakistan. People are so friendly and jolly. Must try food of Pakistan. Let me know if you are visiting Faisalabad( a city in Punjab province)or nearby cities and i would be happy to host you, show you around and have some good local food as well. Thank you for coming ❤🎉

In 30 years there will be even more slums, you can rest knowing that the west will be loaded with slums too by then. Globalism of the west is making slums as we speak. Progress surely isn't globalism.

None hold resentment against westerners here. Don't know why westerners assume such thing maybe bcz of the media. It's just that old people don't understand the foreign language that well.
No it's just language barrier, the older generation are even more hospitable in fact. Look up the Hippie trails from 1950s until early 1980s when Europeans used to drive through Middle East, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan until they reached India all with the help and hospitality of the people of those countries.
