    Hi Simon, i’m a pakistani, living in UK, and i’ve been watching your videos for agggeeesss. Firstly i’m so glad you decided to come to Pakistan, you’re genuinely one of the most entertaining travel youtubers, while also keeping it light-hearted and fun. I thought i’d clear up some questions for you about Pakistan. Over the last four or five years, security has improved massively. This means the kinds of attacks that were happening over the past 15 to 20 years are not happening as much anymore. This is why you see, so many guards, and“fortresses “around, they are simply patching up the scars left by the attacks, and also to act as a deterrent to any future attacks.
    The reason you saw people buying guns, and the reason people have them is because personal matters do arise, and while, almost always no harm is intended, people have guns to protect themselves in case of a personal attack on them, their families, or their houses. but this is very rare and most likely a ‘ don’t mess about, and you won’t get messed with’ kind of thing.
    Near the end of the video, when you had to pass through the checkpoint is fairly common throughout Pakistan. this is where armed forces (retired, or not) live. It can also be various other jobs/careers, but mostly is armed forces soldiers, this is why the area was slightly quieter. Once again, the extra protection on this area always a deterrent.
    I hope you enjoyed Pakistan, and I hope you visit Peshawar soon!

      Why do you live in England and not your mother land

    • @Hustlémon
      @Hustlémon 11 місяців тому +62

      @@simongrinham7816 - I will give you the educated answer, in hopes in teaches you something. In terms of 'British Pakistani' dispora, you looking at 2nd/3rd Generations now. These generations will not hold a Pakistani passport and therefore will have difficulties in relocating. I'm pretty sure the 4th generation coming up won't even speak the native tounge (Urdu/Punjabi, etc.).
      In temrs of economic stand point, the British Pakistanis hold the 3rd most wealth in Britain in an average median family income, 1st being British Indians who hold the most wealth, than British Whites and 3rd British Pakistanis, so economically Pakistanis have adapted really well into UK's economic system, therefore have less incentive to relocate. Also, those who study and know econmics will NOT want 'All British Pakistanis' to simply relocate, the turmoil that will cause the British Economy will be extremely determental.
      Finally the psychological aspect to it, as Humans adapt to 'home surroundings' and hold comfort to that area. You don't see many children adopted at a young age go back to their Birth Family, as that is not simply 'Home' for them.
      I mean, there's alot more valid reasons, but, yeah I'll let you research into that on your own time 👍🏽

    I wish more people could experience how kind 90% of people around the world are. Everyone basically wants to be happy, love their families and live in peace, but the perspective (especially pushed in America) is that other places are less-than or dangerous. I’ve found the middle eastern peoples to be exceptionally kind and generous.

      You can find loads of kind and generous people in the middle of a literal warzone too but that doesn't make the warzone any less dangerous. Simon didn't say he heard Quetta was dangerous from his American friends, he said Pakistanis told him it was dangerous and not to go. It's really bizarre how you people will just ignore that kind of information and beeline to the comments to rage about America.

    The guy on the intercom at Jinnah gate told the motorbike guy “make sure you show them around” motorbike guy said “mate, I was going to the office and they asked me to take them!” 🤣 There was something said about a U turn I think to save him from being late they told you “no entry” because his English wasn’t good from what I could understand of that situation. Bless 🙂
    “If it was that safe, why do people need guns?” Let’s ask America?
