My grandad was a farming machinery exec and worked in Pakistan for a while. He always said the people from Pakistan, especially in the country side, were so friendly and would give you absolutely anything.
Its bittersweet to see how stations in Pakistan look so similar to some stations in India. The trains looked similar from outside to the older ones (still running) we have, the concept of Coolies (even the uniform) and the chaos. You could see how we were the same country just some decades ago.

I've traveled alone in that part of the world before, I'm a woman and one of the things that stood out for me all those decades ago is still the same now. You'll notice that this guy's encounters are all with MEN. You still don't see many women walking around alone, and you NEVER ever speak or interact with them if you're male unless it's a shopping experience.
nothing about this region seems safe nor enjoyable for a woman. for anyone really but men can sleep in a toilet. I imagine there was little difference on the train
As a woman, it's not advisable to interact with the local men. Speaking as a Pakistani women. Especially if you're foreign looking (white, namely) because you look "exotic". If you talk or look, will take it as a sign of you being interested in them. Trust me, they think you just saying "thank you" as a flirting let alone smiling in their direction. Because of their lack of interactions with women, they think women want to throw themselves in their direction.

Indian non-AC (which is called sleeper coach) and general (unreserved) coaches would be far worse but that wouldn't be a fair comparison.
My grandad was a farming machinery exec and worked in Pakistan for a while. He always said the people from Pakistan, especially in the country side, were so friendly and would give you absolutely anything.
That was really sweet of those guys to help you out they went so long without sleeping, but they still helped you❤
He is making a roasting video rather than a travel vlog 😅
Go build your toilet first
@@jamesboth3785 Settle down whyte boi.
Indian trains are far more worse than this. Not even a comparison lmao 🤣.........
@@justamanofculture12remote location stations too have passenger announcement systems in indian railway stations

Props to the guy taking care of your safety for 24 hours, legend!
Fr without him he’d be lost
Its bittersweet to see how stations in Pakistan look so similar to some stations in India. The trains looked similar from outside to the older ones (still running) we have, the concept of Coolies (even the uniform) and the chaos. You could see how we were the same country just some decades ago.
But I think u forgot Pakistan is part of India before 1947
you know we do have windows and our first class trains are sanitized every hour or 2
True. But Pakistan is what India was 50 years ago. We were the same but they decided to leave on religious grounds. And look what happened to them.
@@amalgovind9851 yes india has the 2nd most luxurious train as well
@@hassan1573 He literally said the same thing.
"I hope you enjoyed that, because I didn't" - what a closing line😂😂
Everytime i watch your video i feel like i'm going on an adventure. Eventhough it's not super cinematic but your vlog's style is really capture genuine feelings and the reality of the experience. I love it :)
From my train journey through India I remember that you need to take the upper beds. Locals often want to swap because the don't like them, but they're much better. You can chain your luggage to the bunk and it's very cosy. Ground floor is not so good because people are passing by. 😀
I'm from Pakistan, it's great you doing a Pakistan tour Simon. I'm sure it will be a great experience. Enjoy 🙌🏼
ghanta ka experience😂😂😂😂
Not so great for them..I think🤨
I am an Indian but I feel embarrassed for Pakistan because of your infrastructure
Work on your railways and their stations man, looks like a fish market
@@anuragpatil4073Still better than bihar. Bhai apna dekh lo dusro ko neecha dikhane nikal lete ho.
Love you from the USA. Stay safe man. The people were so nice on the train.
21:54 The words, "I will tell what, about 10 security guards jump off the train, I dont know what could go wrong on this train"
The expression on the face is priceless!
This feels like snowpearcer just getting progressively worse the further down the train you go 😅
Interesting video .
'I've got a friend who's sat on my bed...does he have a bed or share mine'😂 absolutely classic, brilliant! What an experience, live the dream sir! Enjoy every second, these experiences make us who we are 🙏
Im british pakistani. All the things you experienced in this video had me in tears !!! You did good Simon lad !
Thanks for the comeback and Pakistan pretty crazy! Must say You, Bald, and Harald should really do another trip together. That Mexico trip was the best
Bless you all, I had a hard laugh on this! The expressions ans the numerous facepalms....so funny indeed!
I've traveled alone in that part of the world before, I'm a woman and one of the things that stood out for me all those decades ago is still the same now. You'll notice that this guy's encounters are all with MEN. You still don't see many women walking around alone, and you NEVER ever speak or interact with them if you're male unless it's a shopping experience.
depends where you are.
nothing about this region seems safe nor enjoyable for a woman. for anyone really but men can sleep in a toilet. I imagine there was little difference on the train
Yes I noticed that:-(
How was your experience as a woman?
As a woman, it's not advisable to interact with the local men. Speaking as a Pakistani women. Especially if you're foreign looking (white, namely) because you look "exotic". If you talk or look, will take it as a sign of you being interested in them. Trust me, they think you just saying "thank you" as a flirting let alone smiling in their direction. Because of their lack of interactions with women, they think women want to throw themselves in their direction.
That toilet hole goes straight to the rail track got me 😂
It's in many Indian trains too it's not shocking
No it’s not In india

LMAO don’t think I’ve ever heard Simon complain so much!! 😂
Simon definitely whined the whole trip
Simon is extremely diplomatic. Well done!
I wish the best to the hard working & nice people of Pakistan. With as much financial trouble Pakistan has, it is a miracle that anything works, thanks to millions of Pakistanis who simply keep everything going. پاکستان زنده باد Pakistan Zenndeh Baad
Thank you ❤🇵🇰❤
The condition of trains and station of pakistan is similar to that of India in 1980s.😂😂😅That is pakistani railway is 50 years behind Indian Railways. This is what happen when u make nation on the basis of religion not on the basis of harmony and equality.
@@vishalkumar-nw6cp predictable Indian taking a cheap shot at Pakistan. So predictable!

That awkward moment when you have a random guy sitting on the end of your bed 😂

I swear bro the security on that train look like at any moment they will start playing real life call of duty bro🤣🤣

I'm pissed 😂😂😂
Or says “This is mental!” 🤣🤣🤣
Simon you are a brave man . Makes you realize how Great we have it . These folks think that is normal
Mate I went a similar train from Karachi to Lahore, long trip went economy , no sleeper. That was in 1986. A journey never to forget. The younger generation got no idea.
The thumbnail with the cow just chilling on the train tracks! 🤣😂
“The train conductor’s got a double barrel shotgun. That’s not normal is it?” lol f’n hell lol !! Hahahaha
Thank you Simon and Bald for showing me what trains NEVER to go with!. XD
Indians are happy to see the trains from Pakistan.... The first class ! 👍
It's not even First class. It looks like Economy Class.
Indian trains are even worse with people stealing the seats and what not. Pakistani trains seem better and the ticket office clearly said there is no first class. This is similar to Indian sleeper class.
I laughed so much all the way through this video 🤣 My anxiety would never allow me to do this! 😂 I've had such a horrible week but this video alone made me forget about it and made me smile for the first time in a long time - Thank you Simon!
I've never been to Pakistan but I will say the metro in Mexico city was enough lol. Gets so packed you gotta spread ur arms out n jam urself in the door lmao cuz yunno CDMX has like 21 million people and there's like A LOT OF PPL ON THE TRAIN
When u having a shitty day Simon saves the day😂
