Hi, American born Pakistani here. The security guard said it’s safe on the train, but the area around it is not that good. (Lots of people with guns and of course the afghani T-group) They’re clearly security and not military, as he called a Pakistani manufactured Type-56 (Basically an AK) underfolder a “submachine gun”. The military uses plate carriers and helmets, G3s and AKs just like the ones he used, and the POF (Pakistan ordinance factory, a high quality weapon factory that other countries buy military equipment for) submachine guns, or the MP5 and MP5K
From my train journey through India I remember that you need to take the upper beds. Locals often want to swap because the don't like them, but they're much better. You can chain your luggage to the bunk and it's very cosy. Ground floor is not so good because people are passing by. 😀

We also took the bus back.
Online bookings are only available 5 days prior and the sleeper bus timing starts from 9PM…you can also buy tickets at the counter…subject to availability…to book tickets online you do need some kind of Pakistani ID I believe…not sure though…I didn’t book the tickets myself 😅
I would recommend taking a blanket with you and a lightweight bed sheet or anything like that to use it on the mattress for hygiene reasons….otherwise the experience was outclass and you got your privacy 😊
the people of Pakistan are unique, kind, smart, and respectful. Thanks for the vid!
I tried to show a couple of my friends your vids last month. They were like "you know he's from the village don't you?!". Mind blown 😂😂😂 I walk my dog past your mam's house on the way to the park 😂😂😂
Haha that's pretty cool I must say. Only famous person near me is Richard hammond from top gear his house is like a 10 minute walk from mine and I've seen him around town many times.
What
Yes. What village is he from
the only gay in the village
@astroboirap He’s not gay, he’s just Welsh
This was such an interesting vid! Locals seem very friendly and approachable
I didn't think anyone could improve on Bald's video about this journey but yours is just as good Simon. You both have a unique slant on the same story!
Don't think Mister Bald should be followed by anyone. He is sleazy and a creep.
He is making a roasting video rather than a travel vlog 😅
Go build your toilet first

Hi, American born Pakistani here. The security guard said it’s safe on the train, but the area around it is not that good. (Lots of people with guns and of course the afghani T-group) They’re clearly security and not military, as he called a Pakistani manufactured Type-56 (Basically an AK) underfolder a “submachine gun”.
The military uses plate carriers and helmets, G3s and AKs just like the ones he used, and the POF (Pakistan ordinance factory, a high quality weapon factory that other countries buy military equipment for) submachine guns, or the MP5 and MP5K
Props to the guy taking care of your safety for 24 hours, legend!

Love your ability to go with the flow with everything. That man who sat next to you on the bed and did not say 1 word 😂

Oh the snoring bit killed me 🤣🤣
its funny how simon always claims hes not going to get any sleep and then proceeds to sleep the whole time and ruin it for everyone with his snoring.
From my train journey through India I remember that you need to take the upper beds. Locals often want to swap because the don't like them, but they're much better. You can chain your luggage to the bunk and it's very cosy. Ground floor is not so good because people are passing by. 😀
Honestly after watching any of Simon videos I literally cannot get "thankyou so much" out my head! 😂😂
Whew boy-one thing is for sure, my bowels and bladder would lock up like Fort Knox for the duration! Loved the video, mate.
Simon you're better than Netflix 😂
I wish the best to the hard working & nice people of Pakistan. With as much financial trouble Pakistan has, it is a miracle that anything works, thanks to millions of Pakistanis who simply keep everything going. پاکستان زنده باد Pakistan Zenndeh Baad
Thank you ❤🇵🇰❤
The condition of trains and station of pakistan is similar to that of India in 1980s.😂😂😅That is pakistani railway is 50 years behind Indian Railways. This is what happen when u make nation on the basis of religion not on the basis of harmony and equality.

That was one hell of a journey 🛤 Great video m8 totally eye opening 😮
When I rode on Pakistani Railways in the 80's and 90's I was absolutely amazed that people literally rode "on the train"; not "in the train" but "on the train". It just baffled me that more people didn't die on the railways considering the trains were adorned with hundreds of people on the train sides and roof. Scary!!
You are mistaken. It is very RARE that people in Pakistan travel ON trains. FYI, none of the trains shown in this vlog had any people on the rooftop.
@@sidsid9808 Both India and Pakistan had that same behavior of people riding on the roofs of trains and I even saw one sad case where a rider was hit by an overpass and did not survive.
@@mostlyinterested1016
It is very Rare in Pakistan but in India
Its very common because of Over Population..
@@AssGuardian07 True, it seemed to be a national sport there. Not enough room on the train? Hold my beer!!!

Indians are happy to see the trains from Pakistan.... The first class ! 👍
It's not even First class. It looks like Economy Class.
Indian trains are even worse with people stealing the seats and what not. Pakistani trains seem better and the ticket office clearly said there is no first class. This is similar to Indian sleeper class.
This feels like snowpearcer just getting progressively worse the further down the train you go 😅
Interesting video .
Cheers Simon!!! An absolute legend of travel vloggers and the inspiration to launch Drew's Travels, documenting life in Southern Leyte, Philippines 😁
Simon you are a brave man . Makes you realize how Great we have it . These folks think that is normal
That awkward moment when you have a random guy sitting on the end of your bed 😂
Thank you for helping that old man up and out of the train tracks wow
This train looks brutal, well done lad for survivng it.

The expression on the face is priceless!
my respect for my indian railways has gone tremendously high.
oh please he said he purposefully went on the most dangerous train. If he went to the most dangerous trains on india same exeriences would have happened
@@dashdesk I can say atleast Indian trains are much better than these pakistani trains atleast, thats what i meant. the most dangerous experience in indian railway would be if you were to get in a very crowded non-AC compartment and get robbed probably. Even though india is a poor country, the facilities that u get in indian railway is much better than paki railway as seen from the video.
LMAO don’t think I’ve ever heard Simon complain so much!! 😂
Simon definitely whined the whole trip
The lady says at the beginning there NO FIRST CLASS on this train. You weren’t on any first class carriage. She explains standard class with AC is the highest level on this train and Ben even repeats what she says . So the title is misleading and explains why standard class looks the same .

Flashbacks to doing the hippy-trail the whole way around India/Nepal 40 years ago. 'Glad I did it when young'!? [17/18]. Those trains haven't changed one bit. The kaleideoscope and random kindness of fellow passengers can be a surprise. Happy memories for us all :)
India is not like this now. You don't even have to ask one person, where the train is, everything's available on phone.
Plus there are digital display boards that show where your bogie stops.
Bro come to Indian then u will get to know how advanced it has became in comparison to what of 40 years back, and trust me you will not believe it is India.
