    Well this video went crazy now that the game is (finally) out for everyone! Only a few things: If you liked the three vids on Expeditions, feel free to let me know if I missed anything you think other players should know. I'm already making a 4th and possibly 5th video, and it's more about making players lives easier, compared to wasting 10's of hours then saying '.... wait, I coulda done this ONE step and saved all that time? &*^@#!' Obviously I want to grow this place, just like my twitch stream, but I like giving actual value for people to follow this place, not just 'hey hit all those buttons when you have no idea who I am!' which doesn't inspire the best message in my mind. Aka I like to earn it vs ask for it.
    I'm live on Twitch Thursday till Monday every week for 7+ years now usually 9:30am EST till 3:30pm/5:30pm EST. Come by if you want, link above in description, I'm a variety caster who plays almost anything (just not sports games) so feel free to come say hi. Thanks for everyone giving this video, and my channel for that matter, all this attention, thank you very, Very much! Cheers!

      You'll get an uplift of views now, cos the game went free on Xbox GamePass this week. And you earned my sub. Thanks for your work!

    I know one tip you did not mention. If you are exploring, and climbing up a climb or even a steep section. No trees, nothing to help. Get as high as you can and use an anchor. Connect your winch to start pulling you up, but it is not enough to get you all the way up. You can leave the winch connected to the first anchor, use the menu to place a new anchor higher up, then WITHOUT disconnecting from the first anchor, use the menu to connect a different winch point on your truck to the new anchor and your truck will then just switch connections without falling back down. Hope that makes sense.

    • @Banlish
      @Banlish  6 місяців тому +4

      You're absolutely right, I had no idea you could 'swing from one to another' with anchors, that's really cool and I'll try to do it in practice so I can show folks. I know people would love to know and I never even thought to attempt that! Thank you!

    After reading the comments you have a new subscriber here. I never have been one to even consider the achievements, until after 2200 hours into my second time buying snowrunner. I bought it for ps4, then later on bought it and a pc so i could get the mods i wanted lol. I just love this series. Personally i think mudrunner has the best terrain interaction, but other than that, expeditions is already better, graphics, physics, and i just like the whole idea of no roads exploring where few have been.

    • @Banlish
      @Banlish  6 місяців тому

      I don't know if it was someone on stream or a comment here, but we were hoping that in the future we could see something like a Snowrunner 2 with many of the improvements of Expeditions. Tire pressure changes, mobile points, better graphics, etc etc. I know I'm kinda biased that I really REALLY enjoy hauling cargo and restoring things, like factories and bridges to make my job easier. The latest map in Snowrunner, I think it's North Carolina I'm helping to build a Nuclear power plant in like 5 stages and it's SO much fun getting everything around the 4 regions ready to make that possible. Factories needing generators, and fuel, the ferry being restored so I don't have to go across the entire map the long way, restoring a garage and trailer store so I can use them closer, moving stuff from the main seaport to inland ports, farms and factories. I love it. I haven't even gotten to the Nuclear reactor part and I already have almost 50 hours into that map. But that's what I mean, I'd love to see more paths in that where all the tech and improvements in Expeditions comes to it. It might take a few years, but hopefully making these kinda videos where new folks see the game and it gets more people to be able to 'get started' or 'not make your life a nightmare' will help in some small way.
      Thanks for the comment and I hope you have a great time unlocking all the different parts of the game along with upgrades. Cheers!

    you earned it, i deeply appreciate hearing a content creator say something like "hold off and wait on liking and only click later, if you enjoyed it, and subscribing is appreciated, but only if i earned it and you want to see more". Most content creators ask for likes and subscriptions before they even introduce the video, why would i "like" a video which i haven't watched yet!?
    Your tips helped a lot, especially as this one doesn't really communicate most of it's game mechanics well, if at all. you have helped me with a bunch of stuff, even though i am quite a few hours in now, so thank you :)
    P.S. Like well earned :)

      Thank you for the kind words. I was raised to 'work for things' and that carried over into content creation, even now I say it on my Twitch and YT channels. It's just the way it works for me, if not, it comes off as 'begging' and if you can earn it, most people seem to treat it better anyway. Aka begging doesn't work. Working does. So it's what I've done for almost 9 years now and I think it's served me well. Cheers!

      Thanks! I've always liked to give folks a bunch of options or tools and let them have fun compared to saying 'you should only do it THIS WAY only!' Meta gaming has it's place, but in a sandbox, mostly single player game I'd much rather show folks how to make their own fun compared to a guide on how to do each mission as fast as possible and out of the game quicker. Enjoy it a bit, make your own journey, mistakes and cool moments. After all, that's the point of gaming!
      Have a great day and see you around, Cheers!

    Scouts are the best for free roam, they can use the winch even when knocked over and engines off. Also the hydroologist you get with -100% damage you can sit in thebwater and drive lol without vreaking the truck

      Hey thank you for the nice comment, it's a great game and until Snowrunner came out I had no idea about Spintires or Mudrunner tbh. Real great games that even I, thought 'this is stupid' until I actually gave them a chance. I was so wrong it wasn't funny and now Snowrunner is one of my top 10 played games of all time around 700+ hours. I'm still trying for more vids in this series, just a bit of IRL got in the way. Hope to see ya around comments again, Cheers!

    Great info the base stuff was so confusing to me. Ive been playing since spintires. Expeditions is great in some ways and terrible in others. The map design is so good, but the truck selection is lacking to say the least. And the UI is borked! Scrolling through upgrades like tires is a chore. Tire inflation system is pretty sweet though not gonna lie.
    All in all i feel its going to be one of the "runner" greats after some needed patches and MULTIPLAYER

    Any help on fighting through the ridiculous amount of winch points to get to the truck you’re trying to pull?

    • @Banlish
      @Banlish  Місяць тому

      The main thing that helped me was using my mouse since I play on a PC, I think some consoles have mouse support these days for that fine 'aim here and winch' control you'd be looking for. If you only have a controller, I don't have a good solution unfortunately. I use a combo of Control and Mouse/Keyboard for this and Snowrunner, both are great at everything EXCEPT winch control, which the game drives everyone nuts at. The best I came up with is to leave controller on for everything (or wheel and stick shift if you have those) but then have your mouse only for aiming at certain stumps and trees. It does help a great deal. Wish I had a better answer for you, hope it helped!

      And then actually driving backwards, crashing into everything and being stubborn as they could. Thanks for the good laugh!
      Yeah, more of these videos are coming for other games, the time 'crunch' I've lived in for years is slowly sorting itself out so it is getting better.

    Half of your tips are work around for game glitches….

    • @Banlish
      @Banlish  6 місяців тому +1

      Well maybe..... If you see a problem do you ignore it and hope the devs fix it, or do you give folks a means to work around it? And most of these aren't really glitches, but 'working as intended' if you played Snowrunner (I'm not sure about OG mudrunner and Spintires) you are supposed to get damaged doing things 'fast' and 'reckless', much of what I showed in these 3 videos will let you save time, effort and frustration levels. I think most folks will see the value in that, unless there's some alternative I'm missing?

    I hated this game when it came out. I jus started playing the other day AND THIS GAME IS AMAZING! it really is people should give it a try hate hearing tons online people sayin how bad it is

    • @Banlish
      @Banlish  2 місяці тому +2

      The game got a ton of bad cred, but mostly it seems it got a bad rep from folks that thought it was going to be Snowrunner with a ton of new features. Instead it's a different animal and many didn't like it. I thought the game was fine the way it is, just a few things woulda made it 'easier to handle' like allowing players to do a ton of missions without having to reload everything on the map seems to be a big complaint.
      But you're right, this game is a great time if a person is willing to play it as it was made, not play it 'like they hoped it would be' and many gamers seem to forget that. Cheers for the view and comment, peace!

    I have to admit that I'm confused with the user interface. The main UI designer from Saber has a little weird approach to things. It was the same in SR - some UI things felt intentionally hidden/annoying. But in general, I'm glad that they experimenting and I hope they will finally improve SR.

    This is my first Mudrunner game, and I can't put it down because strategy and problem solving is needed to enjoy it. Your most important tip is "slow down" or else this game will punish you and end up hating it. Nice vid.

    • @Banlish
      @Banlish  6 місяців тому

      Hey Thanks, said it a few times now but the game, along with Snowrunner, Mudrunner and even Spintires, are all great games that many overlook when they find out 'you are always in your truck? That sounds dumb!" even I said it about Spintires, Snowrunner and now Expeditions really turned me into a die hard fan, Snowrunner with only a single profile has over 700 hours of my life that I don't regret using towards it. If you ever finish Expeditions, consider any of the other 3 games, you might find gems worth playing and they usually go on sale a few times a year as well. Cheers!

    • @Banlish

      I'm sorta that way with Snowrunner, the only reason I haven't 100% the game is because they keep adding new maps that take almost 100 hours per addition to finish completely. I only have a single save and it's over 700 hours with 4 entire map clusters basically 'untouched'. Such a great series that so many people don't know about.
      I know they're different games, but same devs and I hope more people give em a chance since so many streamers/tubers are showing em these days

      @@Banlish I don't hunt Achievements too 😅 But I d'like to try a lot of things im game thats why I get nearly 80% just while playing 😅 And I enjoyed it so much, so I completed all non dlc maps one after another in Hard mode but DLC Maps.... I don't like them.... The new mechanics.... I payed it time to time 1 to 5 hours a week so I often forgot about one or two things... So I payed the easy stuff like transfer log to this location easy task for one session. But later you need to craft stuff... I hated it... 😅

      @@Tachiguro It took me a little time to get into the craft fuel and iron into iron rolls but once I got it, it just became a ton of fun. You might want to try it out, the DLC maps aren't bad either. Some really large and fun areas to rebuild, like the Canadian maps or the Scandinavian one are a bunch of fun. Give em a shot, you might really like the challenges. Maine wasn't bad, but was tough and the very last map that came out is a great time I think it's North Carolina. Having a good time on that map too
