The team that makes the game has changed, so don't expect Ghost of Tsushima

My opinion it was basic, and very repetitive combat. Samurai jumping on rooftops like a ninja? Should have made a ninja game instead
I just came here to say that the person who came up with the idea to make the atmosphere of feudal Japan with an American western in the soundtrack is a genius
The soundtrack slays. Gives me RDR2 vibes.

This gives me “Blue Eye Samurai” vibes.
Hearing NPC's taking about the Legend of Jin would be so nostalgic. RIP Jin, you will never be forgotton.
It’d be wild to hear because the rumors of him got out of hand in his own game. He went from a lone samurai to a literal spirit of vengeance in the public eye. To such a point the rumors you over hear sound completely mythical and talks range from Jin being a literal ghost of a Samurai to a Huge and terrifying monster that rose during the islands time of need. The stories got so much bigger than you that they didn’t even recognize Jin as the Ghost until they see him in action.

Lovc the music, the Japanese traditional instrument with wild wild west vibes
As a Japanese myself, I really LOVE the trailer music, the Western-style shamisen. It reminds me of the main theme of the old Japanese drama “Musashi (2003)”, composed by... guess who. The LEGENDARY Ennio Morricone himself. It was a Western-style music too, but it was such a masterpiece and fitted PERFECTLY in Jidaigeki. If it were homage to that, I’d give a BIG round of applause to Sucker Punch devs.

Jin was such an incredible character, nobody wanted to see him go, I always hope to see him again. This new character has MASSIVE shoes to fill.
imo, he's a great character but not a franchise character, no need to expand upon a perfect journey like his, I think they made the right choice
Jin was a hero who followed the fox. She follows the wolf. That says a lot about who she is.
I think it’s right to focus on a new character, but you’re definitely right this new one has a LOT to live up to.
the John Wick director is making a Ghost of Tsushima movie, you will get to see Jin again

For the people that are hoping to see Jin, bad news. This game is set in 1603 and Ghost of Tsushima was set in 1274.

He will be remembered !
Jin will be remembered but not forgotten. The time period this game is set in is a really interesting time in Japanese history. Around the 1600's, Japan became one of the largest manufacturer of firearms in the world. Just like Jin struggling with his honor in "Ghost of Tsushima", someone from this era in Japan could realistically be struggling with their honor and the consequence of the New World.
