In addition to that, I have the impression that vehicles become unstable at high speed e.g. in that racing centered DLC and in the mod map Highway Hauling.

Do please Remember, that Spin Tires was done by a small studio, that had its roots in simulator sound stuff, as their first game. All the other games were done by Sabre after they basically poached the main dev/programmer. That sparked a whole host of law suits between the original studio and sabre wich seems to have lead the original studio to basically collapsing. That seems to be why Spin Tires was removed from steam to begin with. The biggest issues I've had with the progression of the game is the multiplayer system. A match making system vs the lobby list system the original spin tires had was their biggest mistake and how the game almost penalizes you for not using the roads/paths now vs finding your own path. Another Snow Runner issue is its weird Desync issues where a truck with expandable things (Like Crane stabilizer feet) will be always extended when the actual player has them packed and can just catapult you if they hit you on their screen.
Thank you for creating this video. Expeditions is my first game of this genre coming from 20+ years of FPS, RPG, and RTS games, and I'm fu@k1ng loving it. I'm on PC, and I turned the in-game music off at day 1 (no hate) while listening to my personal music (for the win). Expeditions is challenging enough, but I wish there is a way to mod the game so the upgrade spawns are randomized to extend the game replayability. You twisted my arm (not) to grab Snowrunner. I was already downloading it from Steam before your video review of it ended, lol.
Spintires and the original (old) MR has much better physics, certainly more realistic than SR and ExpeditionsMR. With SR they changed game engine for more colorful but with degraded physics. Custom vehicles and full maps you could download took the games from a logging simulator to an offroad driving game.

Just have to say one this as far as the recovery the way they have it on expeditions right now I like it but the way it is on snowrunner wouldn't work for expeditions because expeditions maps you have more outpost to recover to so you have to pick one on the map that you wanna go to and on snowrunner you have 1 garage on the map and sometime no garage at all on said map so it would force you to recover to the previous map but over great game so far and can't wait for more vehicles and multiplayer really can't wait to see if they bring in jeeps

Mudrunner:go slow on some locations Snowrunner:Try to Upgrade mostly like Suspension, Diff lock and All wheel drive, engine For Spintires, mudrunner:If your Truck only has Diff lock use Low gear on Mud roads
I really liked snowrunner but, I feel like I played it too much. Got burnt out on the constant crawling threw swamps and lakes. Feels like every map is the same old, same old.
I hate the vehicle models in SR, the look nothing like the real thing, the game feels very stiff with bad controls, I like that in MR if you hit the gas it just goes, in SR it keeps changing the RPM to get more grip, I don't want traction control while doing off road
Yea I wish it’s auto shift was more refined, too often it tries to shift to the next gear but then has to downshift again cuz it can’t continue in the next gear. Ik we have manual mode but it’s too annoying to use that normally and then constantly switching between that and auto.
I played this games at 2016 first time. And I am following the franchise since. You need to plan ahead, be patient use your intelligence to complete the game. And that will take a lot of your time. This are well designed games. In 2025 there will be a new one little bit different than the previous. Road craft 😉
I've been playing the Spintires franchise since the original game was still a tech demo. That gives me some authority to say that arguing that Expeditions is the second to best game in the franchise rivals the belief that you should put milk in the bowl before the cereal.
I've put over 1500 hours into Snowrunner. By far my most favorite game ever. I'm still no where near finished as the dlc content is huge and it's the only game Ive ever wanted all the dlc for. The only drawback is the farming missions. If I wanted a farming sim there are plenty of already good ones out there, I didn't enjoy ploughing fields. Overall though top game. Mud is awesome. Mud Mud mud.
its a shame that all games basically have good things that others need or would benefit heavily. There is not just "oh this game has nothing from this one and its horrible". Besides Expeditions since that's kind of a new take on the series.
I played snowrunner first and then got mudrunner when it was on a deal, snowrunner is the better game BUT engine/winch sounds etc are far superior in mudrunner.
Snow runner muti player invite 4 frinds to help cross platform, too. Players join you withal trucks in their garage, including any dlc and upgrades 😮 I have over 1k hrs playing on it
The next game should have it all in one like having the sunniest day ever then then bam down pour thunder and lightning and maybe have support vehicle missions where u get stuck in snow and a plow has to pull u out and maybe the additions of care package so u don’t have to map it to am I gonna make it to next gas point where u can spend in game currency instead and it gives you enough to your next checkpoint or to finish the mission
SnowRunner is the best among the series. Realistic physics with detailed, fast vehicles, customisations and addons, many mission and tasks, decent graphics and alot of dlcs.
not sure I'd call the overly bouncy physics and lack of feeling of weight realistic. I wish we could have the mudrunner physics with the Snowrunner content
The same physics solver + different generation of shader = spintire, mudrunner, and snowrunner. Expeditions? It is just a DLC of snowrunner, and the rendering quality is worse. I think what I really want is more realistic physics + some heavy and slow trucking + good image quality + bigger maps. Snowrunner is what the can do at most with current phsyics solver. Milking more game out of the old code doesn't make sense to me.
Tbh i love all the games but the physics and mud are definitely downgraded in the series the trucks in snow runner feel like rc trucks moving around where spintires and mudrunner feel more heavy and sturdy why driving threw stuff it just felt better back than not saying snow runner is bad at all its just not what the game use to be.
I thought Mudrunner was excellent. I really enjoyed getting the platinum trophy and one staring all the single player missions on hardcore was a great way to waste a lot of time. I love mud and logging =D
Snowrunners is fun and I like it but it’s unplayable in the beginning or it was for me the first truck you get is so bad and always gets stuck in the mud somehow even on flat terrain so i stopped but I think I should give it another try
Best thing to do (gonna sound counter intuitive like a MF) is get the MK38 from Pedro Bay Alaska map. Diff lock and AWD is always on and it's really not all that hard to get (have to fix a few things along the route but you can drive around other obstacles such as holes and rock falls) just bring some fuel and parts, fix it enough where you can hop in it and recover it. Doing that helped me ALOT, also there's a decent amount of good trucks just chilling around on the maps that you get of you recover them. Should look into a YT video on that of you don't mind a few spoilers (truck locations).
Yeah... my disappointment about Expeditions is that it's only scouts you play. I don't play either Mudrunner or Snowrunner for the scouts, oh no. So, I'm not a fan of it. Hope they don't flop on Roadcraft.
i personally like mudrunner more than snow runner , i can,t seem to get into the game play as much as i did in mudrunner ,theres to much going on in snow runner, off road hauling logs is better , which was developed by one person
imo snowrunner and ets2 are on a pedestal when it comes to driving game and spintires and mudrunner are all way better than expeditions id put it as expeditions mudrunner spintires and for the first snowrunner
Glad I did not pay money for this game, you spend more time in the menus than actually driving! If you like a game with lots of menus to navigate this for you but not great for driving experience as it barely lets you drive anywhere
MUD! Snowrunner was great in the early levels, but then it got overly complex and needlessly frustrating. It turned into a time suck by design, and I hated that.
Play mud runner on hard it's way better. manual transmission is so much better then auto transmission thats biggest difference between normal and hard mode
The OG games have FAR superior physics, talking about SR beeing realistic in terms of this... the physics in SR are literally bugged and random to the max. Also pls check comparison of the engine sounds, the old games had WAY better sound. Also literally noone is talking about expeditions anymore, check how many streams and viewers there are. All the "big" SR players tried expeditions and stopped after a few weeks. So putting this here over the OG games... idk. But everyone can like different things.

"Godzilla: Unleashed" theme, nice.
its a shame that all games basically have good things that others need or would benefit heavily.
Mudrunner on switch is the best. Snowrunner and expeditions are completely inferior to the og mudrunner.
Nah snowrunner has way more content and variety
@@sugarflame1833and that's it
Update: MR then SR by a mile
Snow runner muti player invite 4 frinds to help cross platform, too. Players join you withal trucks in their garage, including any dlc and upgrades 😮 I have over 1k hrs playing on it
I could listen to you forever
Better names for snowrunner:
More mudrunner
Grindrunner
Pay-to-win-runner
Microtransactionsrunner
The next game should have it all in one like having the sunniest day ever then then bam down pour thunder and lightning and maybe have support vehicle missions where u get stuck in snow and a plow has to pull u out and maybe the additions of care package so u don’t have to map it to am I gonna make it to next gas point where u can spend in game currency instead and it gives you enough to your next checkpoint or to finish the mission
I like how the majority of these games are basically just stick it in high gear and try to maintain.
Anyone remember snowrunner physics glitches at launch.. my gawd
To anyone still playing the original spin tires, big ups to th OG's. Personally spin tires is still the better of the bunch.
Rank all of the zelda games pls
Are any or all of these games compatible with the Logitech G29 wheel and pedals?
I know snowrunner and mudrunner are im not sure about the others .
@@jusmac3 Thank you for the reply, appreciate it. In your opinion which do you prefer.
@@66lwmorgan Snow runner you can customize the vehicles and it looks better, but I find myself always going back to mud Runner
@@jusmac3 Thank you, appreciate your help.
I found it a pain to play with a wheel because the winch function is hard to use
Just Mudrunner. Not Mudrunners.
Yea, I had to be THAT guy in the comments.
Hell yeah 🤘 these games are awesome 🍻
Been here since Spintires
The series is call spintires not muddrunrunner because all of the games have been funded and designed by spintires and saber interactive
SPINTIRES IS THE BEST of all 4 games
I thought Mudrunner was excellent. I really enjoyed getting the platinum trophy and one staring all the single player missions on hardcore was a great way to waste a lot of time. I love mud and logging =D
Bought Snowrunner today based on this review. Mud.
A must have for the car nut
14:03 what mountain climbing game are you referring to? couldnt understand it
@@AnKlMa it’s called jusant lol
What i enjoy is doing hauling in these games. Expeditions is just stupid
Man do I love snowrunner
I wonder if the Snowrunner fans ever play Death Stranding. I view the games as scratching the same itch.
The journey is the destination 💁♂
$75 for Snow Runner with all the DLC, and that's on sale. Hard pass.
So...the price of a new game for like 4-5 years worth of content realistically? Man y'all are some whiners
OG SpinTires is legendary
We have a new 1 called Road Craft coming using a new engine same 1 as 40,000 warhammer space marine 2
i think spin tires and mudrunner has better dirt bc when you get stuck then low mode can get you out but snowrunner you have to use winch
whit a decent offroad car
i personally like mudrunner more than snow runner , i can,t seem to get into the game play as much as i did in mudrunner ,theres to much going on in snow runner, off road hauling logs is better , which was developed by one person
Snowrunner is in top 1? Lol it has the worst physics out of all 4 games. Mudrunner is still the king, Snowrunner is actually the worst one.
Fr
And they still comes out with dlc because they know people love that game soo much.
And just as bad He put EXPEDITIONS as second!!!
imo snowrunner and ets2 are on a pedestal when it comes to driving game and spintires and mudrunner are all way better than expeditions id put it as expeditions mudrunner spintires and for the first snowrunner
The new dlcs are not even nearly as grindy 👍
Play mud runner on hard it's way better. manual transmission is so much better then auto transmission thats biggest difference between normal and hard mode
I'd have to swap Mudrunner and Expeditions.
Mud hell of a good video
Watched this while playing snowrunner lol
MUDD
They're all good
What about mudrunner american wilds
I like to play in the mud.
Mud I love snow runner very hard though I think it’s because I am a low level
I love the mudrunner American wilds and snowrunner never played the others
Dont bother with expeditions
