Honestly I think that you guys should have sided with the queen of thieves. Except that I kind of have a theory that she's actually possessed by The Whispered Promise. Or otherwise in League with her. And that if she were to take the throne that wish would be used to... Well. The abyss would win
As a DM, I secretely enjoyed this evil side of his. On the other hand, when Sebastian held the monster in place and Pluto tore ir apart with three criticals, I could feel Monty's pain.
This series got me playing D&D again, for the first time since 1E! I’ve binge watched every episode over just a few weeks. Monty is BY FAR the best DM I’ve ever seen. His creativity is a 10/10. Story telling 10/10. I can go on, but seriously he is the straight up standard. I would kill to play in one of his campaigns. Sebastian: With the combination of humor and real human emotion, Kelly does an amazing job bringing the character to life. Vayo (sp?): Another enjoyable character, and Jill plays the food obsession so well that I wonder is that’s really just Jill :) Pluto: Has had great moments, but at times has made me cringe. Like the great warrior having Stockholm syndrome, and being grateful to the Queen of Thieves for “saving his life” by not killing him. At times eager to speak but bumbling on his words. But also great moments, like when he defeated his opponent in a duel to the death, and he dropped his sword and offered his hand in friendship one last time. I really think from a DM and role-play perspective, all players and DM’s should watch this series!
I love how Monty adapts to the random direction the party sometimes takes the adventure. The Ratlings becoming a serious threat is a great way to repay them for not blowing him up with a delirium bomb.
Our group had a beholder fight a few weeks ago with 5 players and it lasted for three hours. These three just straight up destroyed it in a blink of an eye. Wow.
Once Pluto got to attack a paralyzed beholder it was over. His attacks average 20 damage per, and 40 on crits. An action surge on a paralyzed beholder would probably kill it from full hp even with a single missed attack in there (unlikely with his +11 attacks at advantage).
My favourite moment: Monty: "All of you that are within 10 feet of a pillar or a wall must make a dexterity saving throw." Kelly: "Where is in this room is not within 10 feet of them?" Monty: "NOWHERE, MUHAHHAHHA!" Adventurer's guide: How to kill a beholder within 30 seconds! The fight against the beholder was awesome, the good tactic was crowned with success! But what is next? Monty shuffles the cards perfectly. Lots of options, full of unknowns, plus Queen of Thieves, plus rattlings, plus demons - the equation is wonderfully complex!
That magic surge moment during the battle with the beholder was so epic! Can someone please paint that picture?! Big Sebastian riding a majestic unicorn with his billowing scarf flowing through the air casting his hold spell using the staff of power while Veo and Pluto looking in awe >o< Love this series, keep up the good work!
(Galloping up all super-big on a unicorn amidst grim chaotic fighting in the crypt) "Hi, my name is Sebastian Grow and I'm here to turn this battle around!"
Happy 50th episode, Drakken Force! (And Monty)! I've been obsessively watching your show for months now, and I love it! Thanks for giving us D&D nerds such a great show to watch, complete with genius DMing, lovable and complex characters, and skillful combat!
As desperately as Sebastian and the others want to be able to save Everyone... that isn't going to happen IMO...Monty has crafted an amazing 'lesser of two evils' bind for the players as the epic finale of this campaign. Bravo! This whole campaign has been based around choices and once again the group has come to a loggerhead and must make an incredibly difficult decision. What would I do? Well, you cannot defeat a Demon Lord in its home. That option is right out. The group must travel through the portal to find Mouse and then somehow return sealing the portal behind them possibly having to leave Johan the Steward trapped in the pillar for all time. Drakkenheim will have a new king in George...but the power of Castle Drakken will be lost. That's just how I would choose... how will Kelly, Jill, and Joe? So entertaining folks, looking forward to next week!
I think that Queen of Thieves on the throne is literally the best option. Jab a crystal in the Queen's chest, consult Sebastian's mother and go realm hopping to destroy this at the very core.
Suggestion! I think the plot twist is that gwenith eventide made a pact with orcus to sacrifice her first born for power. However, fate took the wrong one. Now, she is trying to suggest it again in a coy fashion. Don't do it its a trap lol. Keep your soul Sebastian. Although, it would be epic to see you out deal your own mother in the abyss.
An ape fighting rats in a crumbling castle?! This is maybe the most fever-dream moment in the campaign. It is like something from Gormenghast or Edgar Alan Poe. Okay, a mutated Beholder filled with eyeballs is pretty darn freaky too. "This is a game, right? It is supposed to be fun, right?" :D :D :D
Pluto and Veo plunging into the goo of despair, when suddenly two portals open. A shadowy hound dropping down onto the beholder from above whilst the darkness from below reaches up to ensnare it. Sebastian fades into visibility astride a unicorn, power arcing from his staff, his hair and cloak billowing in the winds of magic. His jacket has been blown open to show his bare chest. Screaming vocals introduce synth metal as the 80s music video begins in earnest.
That moment you notice you are close to the end of a series and you already start getting sad cuz it's about to end, but you wanna know what happens regardless
Montys laugh at 1:08:35 is what's it's all about for us dungeon masters....the sheer joy of a plan well laid......I'm caught up buds and if it ends tomorrow just know you guys have already done such a cool thing......here's wishing for 50 more Happy Holidays
Monty have a nice warm log cabinet voice, love beholder fight and all talk what they are going to do, hopefully next time we will see what they are going to do next...
That moment when you give your player a superior weapon that has deep ties to their background and they ignore it utterly. I feel you my dude, I feel you...
@Aaron Nunavabizniz and also the lost daughter to the queen, one who they promised to find and bring back... It's very clear that her character is selfish and hypocritical and doesn't think straight when it comes to her father. It's been one of her traits since the beginning. You can see Jill struggling in this episode too knowing Veo will do the selfish thing for her father. Kat nailed it in the previous episode and called all three if them out on what the outcome would be. She nailed Veo perfectly with what she told Pluto and Vice-Versa. This is some great conflict and political drama, I haven't reached the end, but this is very tense and awesome to watch. Monty created such a rich conflict with so many entanglements.
I am finding it hard to think of a downside to killing what is in the throne room. I mean, it's an appendage, but like... if you cut off an appendage it kind of makes the whole less powerful and might even give some more information about it, right?
hey dudes and dudette, i took a day after watching the episode, and to be honest i wouldn´t know how i would decide what to do, and if i don´t know how to decide something i take a chance and roll a die. what the characters want is clear, sebastian wants to get mouse back, veo wants her dad free and alive, pluto wants his nephew on the throne and all together they want to free drakkenheim from the curse that holds the city in it´s devastating grip. the question now is what course of action will bring those results, i have absolutely no idea, maybe the die knows ; )
Okay if it was my choice, I would trust the flame and put George on the throne. That is what I would do! Anyways no matter what y’all choose, I love the show and can’t wait to see the decision made!
1:26:26 - Charles the Unicorn: "I can take you away from this wretched place if you wish". - Veo: "Yeah! Let's go to Candy Mountain Charles!" - Charles: "Do you really think I will fall for this twice?! I've already got one less kidney godamnit!"
Many congratulations on ep.50! I've only recently returned to D&D, acting as a DM for a bunch of my High school students. I'm loving the Drakkenheim campaign, but I'm on catch up, so only on ep 20. I'll be all caught up soon. Keep up all your great work! You've been an inspiration!
Aqua Delirium X - it has what all the growing ratlings crave! I would actually propose a sort of "third option" solution to the multisided dilemma Monty's created (and did very well at that!). While opportunities for it are limited, I always thought knowing as much as possible and clarifying all possible uncertain variables if you can is best when dealing with such a danger-fraught and important choice and sequence of actions. And I wouldn't even trust Sebastian's mother on this - she's already established to have been making pacts with demon lords willy-nilly, so her advice to make another one as a way out is suspect (and is it even actually her? Could she be the "sister" the minotaur demon lord mentioned?). Before committing to any of the options, I'd advise to go find out as much as they can in the circumstances - perhaps get Cat/Kat to explain more using her own weird magical acumen, perhaps mount an inquest into the Crater to find more answers before making the choice (we still haven't visited it yet!). Find out as much as they can about the monster holding the castle, about what happened with the meteorite and the demonic incursion and how they're related. The throne is said to have vast magical powers - is it because it's secretly delirium/demon-powered? Is this why it's impossible to take that throne and not have to wrestle against the mind control of demons? Plus, just like with Sebastian's mother, the supposed steward in the dungeon could also be a demonic ploy. Can't trust him either - with those eyes supposedly being his, and the throne looking kinda similar, what's to say he isn't just a disguised mouthpiece for whatever powers are holding the castle, getting the players to play into their grasping appendages? Thus, in the end, I'd actually hold the "try to turn in the badges" option as a last resort - it sounds like a "low% ending" option, something you get when you didn't do well enough. While invading the demonic planes may be foolhardy, I'd personally vote for going all Doomguy on their collective rear and finding a way to destroy the throne-holding monster, then see what that rift is all about - perhaps Kat could sacrifice herself for that by using the throne and being fried by it afterwards. And I'm sure there'd be at least some way to proceed after going through the rift - perhaps a small planar detour for our heroes? Either way, the "try to use the Flame Protestants" is the second best option after Doomguying it up, to my mind - it's a bit freaky and the cult's powers are weird, but Lucy the prophet has proven to be effective, she could be enough to make the difference in beating back the incursion. But my first and preferred option would be finding out as much as possible, then trying to invade the demons right back, at least on a scouting mission.
Happy 50th Episode! And again thanks for knowing how to play. After watching other channels it's a pain to listen to othet players ask the same question every week. So I appreciate you guys knowledge and skill.
EVERY DAY THEY HAVE SPENT TRYING TO CONTACT OTHER PLACE THE RATLINGS GROW EVER STRONGER. I'm honestly just waiting for the Ratlings to win it all at this point. XD Yes. Yesss. Yesssss.
I'd love to point out again how GOOD Monty is at building these characters. We start out hating certain characters and then we see them from a different point of view and we start to really like them. And he's consistent with them, like Ansem, Cat, Lucretia, he hasn't changed any of their personalities since we first met them (other than ansem being more respectful now, but thats natural since he didnt know them before and what theyd commit to the cause) but we've kind of had a 180 on all of them 😂 heck, back on the mirror dimension arc, i thought the Amythest Academy would he the final villains 😅
The shadow hound also gave it disadvantage on its saving throw to get out of it, so it was near impossible for it to break out when the DC is 17. It's an all or nothing spell, but the disadvantage made it super OP in that particular fight.
I'm absolutely in love with this series, but I've been mentally screaming at the screen to "BRING LUCRETIA MATTHIAS TO THE CASTLE!" For several episodes now. I haven't finished this episode so I don't know what they decide, but she's stupid powerful and so knowledgeable about all the threats they're facing. Only Eldrich, the academy archmages, and maybe the queen of thieves can compete with her magical power, and unlike them, she can be convinced to join the attack, can be trusted to tell the truth and act in the interest of the greater good of the people of Drakkenheim and the world, and she can cast healing spells. There isn't a single character in the entire series besides maybe Lenneth Eventide who'd be a bigger asset to them on the mission, and it's been so frustrating watching them not realize this for so long.
The best challenge of the series! Well done guy's! Bravo, this fight was epic!!!! Fantastic story. I know I'm 2 years late but I would get some Dwarves in asap :)
YESSS Monty finally dropped a ‘let her take her turn’ sometimes coaching can work through the roleplay, or you say things on your turn that’s more understandable and dynamic, but I always support a DM when they shut it down.
Also this whole episode should have been nothing but Skullcrusher dice rolls. Hopefully Monty used his Golden boys against them. I don’t know how true balance a set of metal die are but after so many rolls before they are fair but deadly
I play two video games - Skyrim and Fallout 4, and this whole campaign has Fallout 4 influence literally all over it. The Silver Order is the Brotherhood of Steel. The Fallen Fire are the Children of Atom. The Haze is basically background radiation. The way that there is no one "happy ending". Even the way the ratlings and gnolls feel like feral ghouls and super mutants. But it's so well reskinned that it doesn't matter. This whole ride has been wonderful so far.
How to kill a DemonLord-level evil? W/ a GOLD Delirium bomb, of course. The physical manifestation of Pure Good. According to Lucretia Mathias, anyway. Guessin' it wouldn't hurt for Veo to have some Gold Delirium arrows. Pluto's got Ignesius. Against the evil of a DemonLord, Ignesius probably has a self-sacrifice "Holy Hand of God Smite" mode. And Sebastian... well, something I'm pretty sure nobody expected. Turning loose Wild Magic against the DemonLord's entire dimension w/ the Staff of Power. After all... What's the worst that could happen??? :)
I wouldn't have given Pluto disadvantage on his Stealth check in the crypt. Plate Armor only clanks when the impact of walking causes plates to collide. Without that shock, the plates slide very quietly across themselves. Joe remembering Lucky after the fact was hilarious. 😄
I'm thinking give Vejo's dad the badges to subdue the "king thing? appendage" > Drakken Force+The Queen of Thieves enter the rift >kill the "king thing?" > find Mouse >make the Queen return them ALL to Drakkenhiem > Free Vejo's Dad > let George undergo the Fallen Fire ritual (he seemed to really be interested in magic so he gets to study "divine" magic > Join Caspia and Drakkenhiem by marrying the Queen of Thieves to George (Queen of thieves becomes Viceroy, George becomes Cardinal) > Amethyst Academy and Fallen Fire work together to find a cure for Queen Lenore > Find Sebastians Mom..... It all sounds so simple in my head, whats the worst that could happen?!?!
Bingeing this series, very much enjoying it! I'm two years late, but wanted to answer Monty's request anyway... I think QoT has made a demon deal to get Mouse back, and it's possible Orcus' sister is Sebastian's mom, or that she at the very least is on the dark side. I think they should defeat the throne monster, close the rift, and abolish the monarchy of Drakkenheim, in favor of some sort of democracy.

Veo: fails all her saving throws
Sebastian: "Hold my unicorn"
"Nowhere!!! Mwahahahahahahaa!!" Montie someday I hope to have as evil of an evil laugh as you.
As a DM, I secretely enjoyed this evil side of his. On the other hand, when Sebastian held the monster in place and Pluto tore ir apart with three criticals, I could feel Monty's pain.
This episode and the earlier one where sebastian sits on the QoTs chair and melts, montys laugh shakes empires
That was satisfying lmao
Pluto can now add a “crypt of Beholders” to his monster killing resume
Pluto really is becoming a clink of slayers.
That's a thing, right?
Is that a Metric Tomb or an Imperial Tomb... actually, I guess it is a Royal Tomb.
@@euansmith3699 the perfect response.
Is that a crypt of Beholders or a Hall?
@@stevenmichael216 the Beholder was in the basement, so it would count more as a crypt.
just realized i spent more than five full days of my life following the drakenforce in the streets of drakkenheim...
worth.
Time well spent.
Welcome to the Drakenside
Yeah nice quarentine i got xDD
Same
This series got me playing D&D again, for the first time since 1E! I’ve binge watched every episode over just a few weeks.

Vayo (sp?): Another enjoyable character, and Jill plays the food obsession so well that I wonder is that’s really just Jill :)
Pluto: Has had great moments, but at times has made me cringe.

Sean Plunkett food obsession is real lol
I love how Monty adapts to the random direction the party sometimes takes the adventure. The Ratlings becoming a serious threat is a great way to repay them for not blowing him up with a delirium bomb.
Monty can be long winded sometimes but aside from that to work on he does a fantastic job
Our group had a beholder fight a few weeks ago with 5 players and it lasted for three hours. These three just straight up destroyed it in a blink of an eye. Wow.
That paralyze was clutch.
Bonus points for the pun.
Once Pluto got to attack a paralyzed beholder it was over. His attacks average 20 damage per, and 40 on crits. An action surge on a paralyzed beholder would probably kill it from full hp even with a single missed attack in there (unlikely with his +11 attacks at advantage).
Blink of an eye. I see what you did there.
Yeah they highrolled pretty hard with it failing two saves in a row against the hold monster.
16:50 you could almost say Yohan was a pillar of the Kingdom.
THAT ... was a dad joke! Lol
Omg haha
Johan would be proud, lol ahahaha
That's 4 questions. Or is that 5?
That was 4. This was 5. Goodnight.
My favourite moment:
Monty: "All of you that are within 10 feet of a pillar or a wall must make a dexterity saving throw."
Kelly: "Where is in this room is not within 10 feet of them?"
Monty: "NOWHERE, MUHAHHAHHA!"
Adventurer's guide: How to kill a beholder within 30 seconds!
The fight against the beholder was awesome, the good tactic was crowned with success!
But what is next? Monty shuffles the cards perfectly. Lots of options, full of unknowns, plus Queen of Thieves, plus rattlings, plus demons - the equation is wonderfully complex!
50 episodes… 120ish hours and I’ve loved every second you guys are awesome!
so how stable is Sabastian's mental state, from going insane over and over again failing his rolls by trying to summon his mother but failing.
Extra insanity for missing mum
That magic surge moment during the battle with the beholder was so epic! Can someone please paint that picture?! Big Sebastian riding a majestic unicorn with his billowing scarf flowing through the air casting his hold spell using the staff of power while Veo and Pluto looking in awe >o< Love this series, keep up the good work!

"Hi, my name is Sebastian Grow and I'm here to turn this battle around!"
"and he sleeps like a baby" translation... He was up every hour or two screaming
Ehh, that’s just typical Sebastian though, isn’t it?
Sebastian's reaction to Pluto suggesting Sebastian's mom hid an attuned planar object in the mirror dimension is everything. 1:48:40
Wow that hold monster thanks to reaper granting save disadv to the beholder
Was an bsolute comeback of the century

Bring the Queen to your next meeting. If you go through the rift, bring Lacresha. Who better to fight a Demon Lord than a mega Cleric
Is it weird that I want Monty Martin to read me a bedtime story?
Sean Plunkett no
Totally reasonable 👍🏻 he has a great voice!
It depends on the dreams you hope to have.
i would totally buy a cd with monty telling a bedtime story, he has a great voice, so do jill joe and kelly, all their voices i like to hear ;)
At least explain me the room i'm in
51:28 to 51:42 Favorite Monty moment, hands down.
I'm starting to see Shadows of Drakkenheim in my recommendations. Oh gods, I'm close.
I think that Queen of Thieves on the throne is literally the best option.

Man, Sebastian's mother is so dodgy and I love it so very much. Basically nothing is sacred.
Though there is no way to lose at D&D, selling your character's soul to a demon lord is about as close as you can get to losing.
"The Empire of Ashes"... now THAT'S a catchy title for a campaign... could that be the next one run by this group? We shall see! :-)
The Ashes of Drakkenheim… -Yes, please!!! 👍🏻
Congrats on your 50 episodes! You have become my favourite dnd campaign ❤️
Woooo! Here’s to 50 more episodes amirite.
well, that didn't age well

Monty is the man. What a way to mold a story.
"My names Sebastian Crowe, and I'm on a f***ing unicorn."
"a powerful will indeed" *distantly* [laughing in queen of thieves]

Just wanted to say im on episode 13 and am excited to reach 50, I cant believe you are still going Congratulations!
I’m hoping they send the rat prince through the rift, to be king of the rat gods new world! Thanks Love this series.
actually that idea is brilliant
Yes yes yes!
So good I'm going to watch it again.
Talk to the Unicorn and see what he says. But really crazy crazy episode. I want to see the next one already. Good job guys.
"Look sebastian, if you mention candy mountain, you're going in the sludge.
*"Leoploradon, Charlie!"*
Oh my god how much damage was that? it was like 40 46 and thirty something so holy shit like 110 damage. Pluto won damage race today.
Catching up with marathon sessions, thank goodness for lockdown
Monty have a nice warm log cabinet voice, love beholder fight and all talk what they are going to do, hopefully next time we will see what they are going to do next...
I’ve never been this enthralled about a series
So glad you’re enjoying it!
That moment when you give your player a superior weapon that has deep ties to their background and they ignore it utterly. I feel you my dude, I feel you...
Why is Veo allowed to sacrifice everyone and everything for her dad but everyone calls Sebastian crazy for asking the same for Mouse? Hypocrisy!
Because her dad is a hero and mouse is the sister of their greatest enemy
😮 seriously, isn’t it obvious?
@Aaron Nunavabizniz and also the lost daughter to the queen, one who they promised to find and bring back... It's very clear that her character is selfish and hypocritical and doesn't think straight when it comes to her father. It's been one of her traits since the beginning.
I asked the same thing last episode!!!
I’ve been saying this since I started binging
I am finding it hard to think of a downside to killing what is in the throne room. I mean, it's an appendage, but like... if you cut off an appendage it kind of makes the whole less powerful and might even give some more information about it, right?
The whole pack's headin' to Pax, huh!?
They just need the Emperor of Mankind or Malcador the Sigilite to sit on that throne and keep it closed. :)
Or Magnus the Red, as it was planned! :)
This is 2 years ago when Im watching, but still the best
hey dudes and dudette, i took a day after watching the episode, and to be honest i wouldn´t know how i would decide what to do, and if i don´t know how to decide something i take a chance and roll a die.

Kelly crossing his hands to make a "50" for the camera's perspective and still getting it wrong made me die of laughter! 😂
Happy 50th Episode! And again thanks for knowing how to play. After watching other channels it's a pain to listen to othet players ask the same question every week.
So I appreciate you guys knowledge and skill.
*You cannot fast travel with enemies nearby*
EVERY DAY THEY HAVE SPENT TRYING TO CONTACT OTHER PLACE
THE RATLINGS GROW EVER STRONGER.
I'm honestly just waiting for the Ratlings to win it all at this point. XD Yes. Yesss. Yesssss.
Ratlings very strong. Very smart. Ratlings take the world for rat God. Yes yes yes.
Get an artifact attuned to this plane, go through rift, defeat demon lord, come back using artifact. DM gave you all the pieces. Silly Drakkenforce.
Wow... about 125 hours of Drakkenheim. I cant believe it lol
The best setting and delivery for that much content, too. Here's to more!
YOU'RE ROLLING 16D8?!?
I honestly thought joe was going to tackle Monty.
Using invisibility against a beholder is so funny. 'we are invisible... as long as it doesn't look at us!'
OK, so Hold Monster is ridiculously overpowered. Wow.
It's a high roll spell, it either does nothing or wins a combat (assuming your only facing a single enemy).
I get you a towel. With no thought I eat the towel. 😂😂😂😂😂
Sebastian would be even more fun taking a level or two of warlock.
Just under 3 weeks to catch up to this episode from the beginning. Love the journey!
Is no one going to mention how instead of saying "worst case scenario" Pluto said "Worst case Ontario" at 2:20:44 🤣🤣🤣
The best challenge of the series! Well done guy's! Bravo, this fight was epic!!!! Fantastic story. I know I'm 2 years late but I would get some Dwarves in asap :)
Monty's evil laugh!!!! 😂
Remember DMs, if Wild Magic surges are a thing in your campaign always have a plan for the Unicorn because it will show up.
I got a wild magic table that has an extra 50… I have had to deal with worse than unicorn helping the party.
2:34:52 "And just like that Sebastian's mother bingewatched the series. It took ~150 hours. The rats have eaten the castle. The world gone mad.
AAAAh
Why must I have MISSED THIS ONE LIVE!!
This is such a good episode!!!
I’m listening to this episode on podcast right now and I felt compelled to come and find this episode to witness 51:35
Disaster strikes, Veo and Pluto are submerged in goo taking massive damage.
And in comes Sebastian, riding atop a flying unicorn!
Monty, you are just as sadistic as my mother when it comes to being a DM...i like that because i like thinking things through with difficulty
I would probably talk it out with your local high priestess and ask about advantages of making this a holy mission.
I wouldn't have given Pluto disadvantage on his Stealth check in the crypt. Plate Armor only clanks when the impact of walking causes plates to collide. Without that shock, the plates slide very quietly across themselves.
Joe remembering Lucky after the fact was hilarious. 😄
The funny thing about sebastian’s ritual is that it’s a surprisingly good use case for the resistance cantrip
I would love to play a character with my Tychus Finley voice lol. Hell, it's about time
Waiting for Kelly to throw his dice across the room after 3rd Insanity roll?!? So funny!
Sebastian pleadingly "please, i just gotta kick the horse. I'LL BE LUCKY!"
Still watching, i was almost caught up lol great job with the campaign
The hard choices are the best, most memorable ones, for players and viewers alike, at least in my opinion :D And this was a great episode :)
Eric must be traveling by tortle. It is taking him so long to get there. Even the Caspians arrived weeks ago.
The story of emotions that Jill's eyebrows tell from 2:18:50 to 2:19:46. 🤣
The campaign almost ended as the DM nearly chocked to breath laughing at the unicorn scene!
I really hope you take everyone AND the Queen of Thieves. Giving her the throne would be more fun.
Bingeing this series, very much enjoying it! I'm two years late, but wanted to answer Monty's request anyway... I think QoT has made a demon deal to get Mouse back, and it's possible Orcus' sister is Sebastian's mom, or that she at the very least is on the dark side. I think they should defeat the throne monster, close the rift, and abolish the monarchy of Drakkenheim, in favor of some sort of democracy.
that Iron Golem tho..
