Such a sick build. I dont care much for insane game breaking clear speeds to the point that the game is trivialized. Im gonna do a ‘thor’ build where crescent moon is mjolnir. And just stack lightning big time. Conviction for the immunes
So I keep farming Pindle to get my Griffon's finally on single player. Dropped CoA, Windforce, SoJ and so on just to name a few this week, no luck with Griffon, but I also found an interesting rare shield. It's a +2 skill, 2 open socket rare with +62% damage/ +113 AR. Nothing else interesting unfortunately (5 fire resist???), but a rare with more res or block mods could be best in slot overall. Rares items are really what still get me in this game (especially on single player, it just feels amazing when you actually drop and identify one). I also dropped a +5 bone spear rare necro shield, that kinda makes me want to play a necro again.
So after I found my Griffon's I fired up my pally, and did a bunch of test runs to figure out what setup I like most, I hade the following three: (amulet + gloves + weapon varies) 1.) Grief + crafted dual leech IAS (nothing to write home about, but rounds out the build) + Highlord = 4fpa 2.) Sormlash (+RBF socketed) + crafted dual leech IAS gloves + marshal's amulet of the whale (3 aura 81 life) = 5fpa 3.) +3 Holy Shock Beast Caduceus + Soul Drainer + marshal's amulet of the whale = 5fpa Rest of the gear was: Enigma (wire fleece for them looks) Gris' shield + 3xRBF (JSTOD would be better, but I keep this over a 4os blank) Griffon's + RBF Gore Rider BK ring Raven Arach 3 offensive skiller GCs only (that's all I found on single player so far...) ani, torch, charms to cap resists CTA + Spirit offhand Merc: Infinity + Fortitude + Andy's (IAS + 18 fire res jewel) I did players 3 chaos runs and here is what I found: Grief is okay, but even despite the 1 frame faster attack, it felt slower. Stormlash felt fast, but the leech was bad, and I was forced to use pots (not cool...) perhaps switching it's RBF to a Shael or @15/15 and using Soul Drainer + Highlord can fix it. Then there was Beast, and it felt very strong, best part was that it helped my merc a LOT. With Grief and Stormlash I had to feed the merc a lot of pots, with Beast he took care of himself. Also the AR bonus from Fanaticism was VERY noticable (although I'm only lvl 86). Over all I feel Beast performed the best by far. The build is squishier than regular phyiscal based melees and the Weaken proc on Soul Drainer was very noticable. Another thing worth consideration is using Drac's and switching Gore Rider to Gorefoot (only boot based mana leech I know). Maybe that way even Stormlash is sustainable (mind you, the only one I found is near antiperfect). I don't have a Gorefoot available atm, but once I drop one, I'll experiment with Drac's. For now I'm sticking with with Beast. Grief will get better if I get a few more points into Sacrifice and get better hit chance due to higher level, so will come back to it later. Oh yeah, almost forgot... Last Wish probably worths a SHOT even at 5 fpa. I'm sadly very far from making one though.

I switched my +3 auras necklace for a +2 pala skiller that has mana leech (pretty crappy, but there is potential for really OP stuff in its place, probably gonna do some blood crafts, but rare has the highest potential here). Now that mana leech is covered I could equip Dracs. With Dracs I easily farm players 8 Chaos Sanctuary, and it goes fast. The character would still be alive if he was HC haha
@@gl2u814 I play single player again for roughly 3 years now on and off lol, I have 3 toons including this pally haha. The other two are pretty much stock standard windy druid and a dual grief ww barb (who is atm respeced to berserk with a 6ist phase blade to farm Pindle). Creating new toons ain't so fast if you play legit single player :) But hey, I might finally decide on rerolling my druid into an eBOTD Giant Thresher Fire Claw bear, that could be interesting.
Just out of curiosity, I messed a bit a with the hero editor... added in the missing 5 offensive aura skillers, and edited my facets and griffon for max roll. The tooltip damage ended up at 25k (at lvl 91 now). Physical part is roughly 1200-1600, with 17% life and 4% mana leech on setup with the lifetap proc, it's pot free gaming. 3k life without JSTOD or life on charms, they are all plain skillers and my best res charms. I run this build in singleplayer with exile instead to get life tap. It makes it godly. Life Leech will not help since your damage are mostly elemental.
@@gl2u814 You will notice that the damage will more likely be in the 16k (so it's still strong enough, but will be far more tanky. I think on lower player difficulty, using the 20/20 light facet shield sure is an enjoyable moment. Maybe one day I will get my 4 perfect light facet shield on singleplayer but even if I dropped 3 zod rune in my plugy account, I have never found 1 perfect light facet yet. And I don't have not found any good 4 socket blue shield either... xD

Negative mob resist caps at -100%. For that reason I think Crescent Moon is sort of a "noob trap". It's still a strong choice, but I feel there are better ones. Average lightning res is the lowest of all elements, so on non immunes you go over the cap pretty much all the time. Against immunes Infinity has 1/5 of its normal effectiveness, so physical damage scales almost as well as lightning in those cases with a weapon like Grief. It also costs a socket, so 1 less RBF, and with the way "lightning mastery" works with auras a 5% RBF is actually 10,25% dmg. I think the top 2 accessible weapons are Stormlash and Grief. Stormlash melts bosses and high density areas, at the cost of 1 frame on your attackspeed (it also has a chonky added lightning damage stat). Grief gives easy 4 frame hits and very strong leeching capabilities. Then the real top weapon would be a GG eth Fool's PB, that I feel would really put the build over the top, depending on the roll it could open up amaing setups. BK over SoJ is pretty good idea I think. For gloves, you don't get much out of LoH with a crescent moon (the % to demons is not much with such low damage), ideal gloves would be crafted IAS/dual leech/CB, with other weapons Soul Drainer or Dracul's can be good. Rare resist boots can come in handy as well.
Have you tried crescent moon and an exile shield( instead of 4 -light res jewels )? Its awesome for lifesteal and you get the static field procs. I put an ias jewel in my Griphon to reach the 72% ias breakpoint... I rly enjoy the static field procs
@@DentApSten 4 faceted shield on my current build provides 4k tooltip dmg and -20% enemy lightning res. Crescent moon drops 2-3 skills and the mana leech is very much overkill. I'm using a 2 pala skills 6 mana leech 19 all res 15 str atm I found, and it's nearly perfect for thr build. Dual leech ring is okay to use over BK if you don't have a propet rare ammy. Giving up many facets for IAS is not great if you are planning to run Baal or Chaos because you will get decreped anyway. Beast caddy provides steady 5fpa even decrepd.

Ic - I do love ur beast idea but to find such base will b pretty damn difficult… I guess I can look on jsp and see if I can find anyone with such base
