- There is goodness in all of us, even in machines. By taking a positive approach to AI, we learn that machines are now speaking the human language by connecting us to our loved ones, caring for us, cleaning for us, and accompanying us in times of need. And these are just some examples of how by being more ethically responsible, we can create a better future through AI. If we choose to. Founder of the leading technology development centre at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and of "Entrepreneurs Without Borders," he focuses on robotics and AI as tools for good with which we must act responsibly and ethically for the future of those who will come after us. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
Incredible tech evolution! MS DOS to talking with machines. AI in art, music, companionship - mind-blowing!
A thought-provoking talk! We must start practicing what we preach in the tech world.
This is such an interesting conversation because ultimately it is humans that make machines and so I think it's entirely possible for our humanity to be enhanced by machines and AI
Exactly, and something we tend to oversee, it's actually us, we, that create this world of machines.
Incredible insights on technology's impact! It's like we're on the brink of a whole new world.
Thank you for that! 🙏😊
Great Msg, delivered by a great man!
Great talk, Donnie! A.I. is indeed a child of our time, bringing forth ethical and philosophical questions that challenge our understanding of intelligence.
Thanks, and yes, I think the most important thing is reflection
It's true, children learn by example. Let's lead with compassion and responsibility.
Thanks Nikolai, we need to become better role model, but at the moment we aren't doing such a great job 😞
Tech as a tool for creative expression is fascinating! AI-generated art is the future.
The idea of machines showing us how to be better humans is intriguing. Let's embrace it.
Forget about writing Code. Talk to your computer and ask it to write the Code - love it.
That part about AI raising ethical questions hits home. We need to prioritize values.
I agree, but we must tread carefully. Remember the pitfalls of the internet's early promises.
Tech potential is vast, but pitfalls exist. Social networks left us connected yet isolated.
Time to walk the walk in tech. Guide machines toward a future of compassion, ethics, and genuine human connection
The Matrix analogy really makes you think. Are we becoming too dependent on technology?
Absolutely! We're at a crossroads; our actions today will define our AI-driven future.
Indeed, thanks for adding that, we need to start acting better today in order to create a better tomorrow
Bra poänger Donnie! Rock on! :) Vi får helt enkelt börja "walk the talk not talk the walk" to use an old saying. Cheers!
“Children don’t do what we say, they do what we do” 👀👀
I loved the part about AI companions. Can't wait to see how they'll reshape human interaction.
We can see our flaws in how we design them and how we make them think...
There are so many people who rely on machines just to keep them alive so, I'm going to say yes.
Does having a robot that's patient and kind replace a loved one for someone with dementia? Would they know the difference?
I am waiting for Arnie to make an appearance....
Remember the Matrix? We're feeding the machines. It's not all rainbows. We need caution or they'll reflect the worst in us.
Ah, the days of memorizing phone numbers. But talking to machines? Positive impact on disabilities. Change is inevitable.
I dont think they can, today Google is boating how great it's AI is, when all I am is scared of it all...
A tad sceptical that AI can make me a better person, thought provoking though.
me too Janky me too
Enough talking about ethics and compassion online! It's time to start doing better and being more compassionate and human in our interactions. And the ONLY way that will EVER happen is if we start from the ground up and that means teaching kids in GRADE SCHOOL about morals and ethics - because currently, we are missing the mark, left, right and center.
I don't see why it couldn't and honestly the narrative of machines being something to fear is so out-dated.
