Hi I'm Loui! I am an adventurer at heart who loves to share every step of the way. My travels so far ,via camper van, jeep camper, and foot, have taken me all over North America. I started this channel in 2019 in hopes of inspiring other people like me who didn't exactly grow up living an adventurous lifestyle and who might be afraid to get started on their own adventures. Louie is the type of friend you have in high school who is nice to everyone and easy to talk to.❤
Daaaw you’re too nice 🥰
@@AdventureTimeLoui I've been through Canada many times ( I lived in Alaska 37 years ) they've become more and more Tyrannical & Marxist over the years, I won't drive through there any more...
@AdventureTimeLoui Hey Loui, I'm getting spammed by a you imposter... just thought I'd let you know.
I was glad to see Simon's van after you talked about the slightly strange questioning guy. William and Rocco running off with their wood too, that was just too cute! It's not just your car, it's your home, it would feel different if it was "just your car."
Thanks!
Hey thanks SO much!! 🥰
So very Kind of You!
I really love that you and Simon @forestyforest are traveling together makes me happy to know your safe always worry about self travelers … stay safe and love your content Loui 😃👍🏼❤️😊
Glad to see you and Simon are hanging out, especially after that sketchy guy was asking you questions.
I rode from Banff to Mexico on bicycle, and I had a few conversations with people that wanted too much info. So, I would just make shit up. lol
Hahaha yeah I definitely am too honest to strangers. Not gunna be anymore
Awesome ❤
You can’t be too careful in this sick world.
As a fellow nomad I do this all the freaking time. Even though I'm completely alone I always say I'm with my family or friends, or even that I moved here. I learned a long time ago sometimes its just better to tell ppl what they wanna hear
Glad you have Simon with you for a few days..
I think it's natural to be weary of strangers asking prying questions, especially when traveling alone. Good thing you didn't have to break out the bear spray!
It sucks as a woman, we always have to be wary of weirdos.
But none of those questions seemed weird. If he’d asked them of a man it wouldn’t be at all. Just we women have to be wary. Saaaaad!
@@nancyseiler2844 They were invasive and it’s about both that and your gut feeling. Loui is smart to be wary.
William with the stick made my day!😂
some people are just nosy. I had a guy come up to my house ask me questions, he literally would not leave till i told him SOMETHING
I did my best to do a clint eastwood on him and say nothing, but he wouldnt leave. He was a bull male and seemed to think it was his right.
They are out there. Great move with the pitbull. Never put a muzzle on him. I dont live my life in fear, at all, but need to realise there are dodgy people in every country. Greetings from Ireland.
Two chairs and always speak in “We” it won’t hurt to always say my dad or boyfriend or friends are up stream fishing coming back from a hike looking for wood. Most importantly listen to your gut. You could also use your drone to watch where that person goes. Lol😂
I was trying to listen to your border story, but then William and Rocko started playing it was so cute and funny it was hard to concentrate. Glad everything was ok!
Thank you Loui for sharing your unplanned adventures at the border and unwanted visitor at your camp site.
So glad sweet Simon was expected. What wonderful companions you are to each other.🙏🏻💕🥰
LISTEN TO YOUR GUT, if it raises an alarm LISTEN TO YOUR INTUITION. Specially since you are experienced in outdoor life. Peace safety good health to you and your dog baby.
The fact that the question dude took off as soon as you mentioned Simon tells me your spidey sense was accurate. Oh, and I used an Airalo eSim on my recent trip to the US. Very easy process. I will use them again when I go to the US again. William and Rocko playing in the background is so fricking cute.
It could also be that he wanted to be camping alone, so once he asked her how long she'd be there he decided to leave and find a more alone spot. I have done that before, as have some of my friends. It's still better for her to be careful of strangers, though, regardless of his intent.
I'm so glad I found your channel through Foresty. Really enjoy your content
Such a Beautiful and Elegant figure,,, Proud of a young Lady with Sooo much passion for Life and Outdoors,,, 👏👏🌷🌷🙏🙏
Love Simon teaches you to ski. And you taught him rock climbing. ❤️
Really glad Simon introduced you! Trust it anytime you have Stranger-Danger! And you wimp, float yourself in the glacier waters... Kidding, I wouldn't have done it either....
😂
great to see you 4 hangin together again 😁
William was watching you and praying you would drop that Big Crunch! Lol and there’s Rocco and Simon! Glad to see you have great company!
Yeah- the next time the strange guy stopped by my camp, I'd be talking to him from inside my car, with the windows up & the doors locked.👍
What a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing with us. ❤
Beautiful spot besides the weirdo. Good Foresty was back.☮
Whoa, looking so cold still, but wild and pretty!
"wild and pretty!"? Who? What? Loui or Canada? 😇
Girl yes that counts as a cold dip! Lol you dipped and it was cold, your reaction says it all. You held out the second go round and breathed through it. Def counts lol
Gotta get immersed! Once the head goes under, your heart rate drops back down, and you don't feel as cold.
Enjoy yourself Louie 🥰 I'm so happy for you 💗 your videos are always such a wholesome reset pallette cleanse that brighten my day! Best of luck with all your travels stay safe 🤗
You videos are so beautiful and peaceful. I also love the food you cook out in the wilderness. 👍🏻
Make sure AirAlo slides you some extra love for having your jacket match their logo. You commit yourself for your commercial partners.
And the whole I knew nothing about them, now do, and will inevitably tell a friend because I think that's a pretty cool option for you world travelers.
Awesome.
Thank you for the information!
It's great to see William and Rocko having fun.
Next time you’re in the Kaslo area you need to drive up to the Buchanan Lookout! Absolutely one of the most breathtaking views in southern BC.
I'm so glad you two have each other Louie..kindred spirits✌️
So glad Simon is with you again.
awww i love the dogs digging and playing in the background!
I was so happy to hear you were in Canada and double happy when I heard you say Foresty was there. You are one brave gal! I wish I had had your bravery when I was young. I love your videos. Thank you.
Literally living the dream ❤ and im so happy for you even though we can't imagine those challenges you face, and have faced for it :)
Your really gonna make it big if you keep such quality that you have 😁
Hey Louie I first saw you & gorgeous William such a handsome pup on WinterIsBlu’s channel’. You’re such a beautiful person inside and out❤ don’t ever change.
Jeez Loui, going and sitting in shallow (icy) water seems way harder than wading in waist-deep and ducking down!
That, plus the fact it's glacier water should count for three cold dips, no question - respect!! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
That view of the mountain and water was amazing.
I love your channel, I too live in a jeep full-time. Last year when I went into Canada, they completely searched my Jeep too. 🤷♂️
I live at 4,000' right on the WA/BC border, and I'd say we are having a rough spring here. Not huge storms, but we get 4-6" of snow which turns into mud, and just when it's starting to firm up the cycle repeats. While this cycle is normal for spring here, it is the number of consecutive cycles that seems abnormally high.
Hey loui. Good travels.
Look at you girl with your sponsorship now!! Rock on!!
I've been searched going into and coming out of Canada back to the States. Fun times.
They searched my vehicle, had me sit around for 45minutes and then told me they were refusing entry and didn’t give me a reason. I’ve been to Canada dozens of times and this occasion has downright weird.
Foresty Forest is your boyfriend? Yeah, I can see it. How adorable!
William trying to take almost a whole tree 😊
On base, they do random searches...everyone has been searched, but it's still embarrassing. LOL You handled that like a champ. Omg, that water looked beyond freezing! Good plunge! 👍🏽
Loved this video. Telling your experience crossing the border. I was really happy to see Simon is with you.
I always worry about you alone in the wilderness. Not your capabilities but about nefarious strangers. Thank you for sharing and have a great visit with Simon and Rocko. 😊
Two things: One: What a pleasant voice! Two: Ice plunge? Yer a beautiful manic! Thanx for sharing your adventures!
I’m so happy you guys are friends. Love both of you guys’s content.
Welcome to Canada! Your super awesome!
That definitely counts as a cold plunge lol! You're much braver than most.
Two great souls finding a friendship . Great video thanks for sharing
I was camping near canal flats BC last summer and I swear that same SXS creeped us out. Found out later it was a local that wanted to camp where we were set up and later told us that’s his spot and to never camp there again
😮😅
I'm petty I would have ended up staying there as many days as I could lol
U should of told him this is nacho ur spot 🤔🤔🤣😭
Ski skill unlocked! You are the whole package. Enjoy and stay safe out there
At first, I was questioning your burrito skills. Only to be blown away with campfire Crunch Wrap! So, adding this to the mix.
Old days...crossing the Canadian border was super easy...
Those questions are pretty typical bush questions. Still good to be cautious but not so strange.
as a Canadian who lived near Seattle for 13 years, and travelled across the border every couple of months, my family van got “randomly” searched so. many. times. Me, my two young sons, and dog. Why? ? ? (going both directions) It became kind of routine, everybody trooping into the building and waiting our turn.
Your jacket was a perfect match for that Airalo promo 😂
You French Fried when you should've Pizza'd!!! - South Park reference. ;) 9:25
It can be intimidating to be searched when crossing the border. As long haul truckers, my husband and I have crossed back and forth from Canada into the USA (including Alaska) and back again numerous times per year. It helps to be prepared, and to be able to answer all questions when asked, and to know which items can or can't cross. It is part of our job to cross the border, and is usually routine, unless you are questioned by an irritated border agent, and don't have a precise answer to their question. I have since started keeping a written log of each of our border crossing locations, and date, and can now answer exactly the last time we were at that port of entry. The onboard searches are part of their job to keep everyone safe, and can be embarrassing, but it's all OK. Glad to know you made out alright.
Thanks for doing such a fantastic job with your channel and content. We just discovered you and Foresty Forest. We as a family are watching all of your guy's videos and will continue to be big fans and support you both as much as we can. Keep up the fantastic work! We like when you two do videos together of your adventures.
Thanks you guys!!! Foresty and I plan to get out on a bunch of cool adventures to share with everyone this Summer. I can’t wait!
We were searched at the border only coming back into the US
The guys were even strip searched. They found nothing as we told them 😮
My brother Bud and his dog Opie were out in their yard when a guy walked up unannounced and started asking strange questions. When the guy asked the name of his dog, Bud paused, then looked the guy right in the eyes and said...Killer! Message received, the guy left immediately!
Watch out for fire bans in certain areas. The fines can be crazy
Thanks for the tip! Yeah I will start looking up more fire ban stuff as things dry up more
That’s Canada. Friendly people
1:14 yes glacier water very cold. I jumped off a small cliff into a glacier river in Glacier National park here in the USA.
Hey its Forestry Forest!! Such a great human.
Loved the skiing. You've got those wedge turns nailed!
Great to see an update, take good care :) Loooove the doggies playing
Hi Loui, that was creepy of that guy for sure. I keep my bear spray more for that kind of feeling more than bears. Need a holster 😀
Thanks for another great flog! 🐾🐾💚Jul and family
PS hug William for us please
I love The view and the idea of taking the cold plunge was really cute but you didn’t go all the way in so technically you took a quarter
The man who approched you probably spotted you from across the river while you were plunging in the frigid water. He had probably been watching you with his binoculars and decided to take a closer look 👀👀. He most definitely wanted to see if you were alone. And it's not a coincidence that the man took off just as soon as he heard Simon's name. It's quite reassuring that you didn't camp alone this time 😊😁. As to the search at the border, I am afraid that your skin complexion had something to do with it. Don't ever, ever let it discourage you from traveling to Canada, though. Stay safe!
Always a race-baiter around.. She said she has been back and forth a bunch of times and never searched, does she somehow have a different complexion now? Read the comments, plenty of white people have been searched as well.. its part of their job, they have to search a certain percentage of peeps entering. And your "Im afraid your complexion had something to do with it" is pure projection. lol
You should lightly oil your cast iron pan after use.
Guess I spoke to soon.
I love seeing you guys together 😊
It's was nice to see you out there outdoors agrees with you. Better than snowed in California I saw that video. Also nice to see Forstery forest with you. Always good to travel with someone. One note I would say don't mention on UA-cam types of protection you may carry. I.e. knifes firearms. Sa
spray. Safety First.
Snow plowing down the mountain.😂😂
Yup that counts, that water is cold in the Summer too! I have rafted there as well. Chilly. Beautiful area. Just so busy,
They did the same thing to me on my way up to Alaska! Asked me like 5 times if we had any drugs or alcohol in the car, and finally said "we will find it, and you will go to jail", then they searched the car, didn't find any, and let us go. I got so nervous that I was accidentally smuggling drugs across the border without knowing haha! definitely an experience to remember.
Intimidation at its finest.
Who dat crazy woman in the cold stream? Oh never mind its just Loui 😂 appreciate the upload!!
Isn't it funny how the Dogs start showing off and making more noise when you're trying to talk to the camera or on the phone?
I agree about the strange man coming over. Strange questions.
Years ago, at a campground, I had to dismiss the creepy neighbor man by saying I came here to be alone and think my thoughts. Not feeling social.
I found you through Foresty Forest. It's fun seeing your Dogs play together so nicely. Cheers to many great adventures ahead!
Amazing drone footage!
Canadian Rockies is where the wild Foresty Forest habituates. Good place to be. This is where I have spent my life and it is amazing.
Glad to see the update! And that border crossing tale was an education. Who knew bear spray would be okay but not mace?!
not just cold glacier water, you also have running water of a river, much colder on the body than just water temp. Definitely counts as a cold plunge!
❤ to see you two together should be more better intertaining and safe when hiking or skiing! Lol😅 I like this format
That was a fun video. Glad to see Simon and Rocko with you. I hope you liked skiing. It does take a while to learn how to do it. But I think you'll be really good at it if you keep it up .Your dog William is adorable. I lived in Kodiak as a kid. My sister lives in calgary. So I've had a chance to spend time in both places and I love them both. Canada is beautiful and so is Alaska
you should have a story prepared ahead of time so when strangers start asking questions you are prepared. for example, "my bf should be back soon but William here always protects me while he's gone so i am always safe." just plan
it ahead of time so you are not caught by surprise. Glad you have that dog!
I got cold just watching you walk into the stream!! I agree with you, that’s a bit obtrusive driving up to your camp and asking you questions. That would bring up my guard as well and I’m 6’ 280 pound guy! Enjoy your trip home.
Ja 100% Hele zuiveren Lucht zal daar zeker wel zijn met zoveel Bommen Daar in de Natuur 🌲🌲🌳🌳
Looks like ghost pluz area of highway 40 near cochrane. Amazing place.
Adventure time Loui = " Happiness " ..My sister got her bag searched going across the border in her van, 40 years ago...she was in her early 20's and she still talks about it...hahaha...BTW You and Foresty "joining up" ...two channels teaming up works for all of us ...just saying :) Seems Rocko and William are on board as well
It counts....Wim Hof would say so!!! Have a cold tub and a hot tub....( cold tub is insane) , so that mtn fed river stream ....Counts everytime!! Cheers, 1000 islands Canada...hope to see you out with Forest sometime soon!!!
I love seeing people ski for the first time. Reminds me of a new born horse or giraffe, the wobbly unsure legs lol. Happy to see you learn a new hobby from a rad teacher. Cheers 🍻 thanks for all the content
Hope springs eternal w each breath we're granted.
I went the first time to Banff and Jasper in 2021...the Canadian Rockies are my new playground. I can't believe it took me that long to go...I am 63 and it's only a 10 hour drive! But to be fair I did my share of backpacking in the North Cascades...back when they were free of people (for the most part). The Kootenai's a beautiful too! Enjoy! Heading that way the first of July. I sure enjoy seeing your videos! Loved your first downhill experience! You did great.
Canada is incredibly beautiful. I would like to live there if I liked cold weather.
Great video !!! The dogs are a couple of knuckleheads !!!! Too funny !!! And I would say that's a cold plunge !!
Uk watching and loving at 6.15 😅😅 doggo loving life 😅
Keep up the great work..
Loui Thanks for Sharing, it was a bit creepy that guy coming over to ask so many questions: Always say that you're waiting for others to join you and Please follow your intuition, if it really doesn't feel right, best to leave no matter how perfect the spot is. Best to be Safe.
Adorable Rocko and William playing, they are stick buddies.
You and Foresty make a great couple!
