Ok so, LOVEEEEEEE THE WASH AND SET!!! But can we talk about those GUNS!!! YOUR ARMS, MUSCLES AND DEFINITION IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!! I have so many questions. Do you work out? Do you concentrate on your arms? How many times a week If you do? Can we get a video? Gurlllllllllll
Always great content Jaleesa! I appreciate the thought and detail that you put into the presentation of your vids. I am a fellow 4a/b and what works for me is using a hooded dryer rather then a blow dryer. Huge and immediate difference in the definition, shine, frizz and overall longevity of the wash n’ go. After applying my gel styler combo (uncle funky’s curly magic, Innersense I Create Volume and Kinky-Curly Custard to seal it all in), I use duckbill clips or Bobby pins to gently pull sections of my wet hair into chunky single twists, rather than double strand twists. Like the roll you make before Bantu knotting. That helps the hair to dry with some stretch and weight, but it keeps your natural texture intact. You can then separate your coils after it is dry and let the hair get bigger over the week.
Your twists still looked fresh. And when cut short it was another cute hairdo.

Do you have low porosity hair...? I feel like you would get way more definition (less frizz) if you deep conditioned with heat and applied your products in the shower on soaking wet hair. Then set it with a hooded dryer. Curlmix and blackgirlcurls demonstrate these techniques and it's a game changer for type 4 girls. Tbh these butters and oils are just blocking the water/moisture from penetrating your strands.
