  • My updated wash and go routine using my favorite banding method! This is how I stretch my shrunken, short natural hair into a voluminous, stretched wash and go. I'm also using my homemade flaxseed gel to set the curls, along with a new leave-in and moisturizing routine! I've really been loving my wash and gos lately, so I hope you give it a try, and I hope it helps! XO, Nap

In my (almost) 3 years of being natural, I've NEVER tried a wash & go. Just never had the confidence or understood the technique. But after watching this, I think I can do it! Thanks for the simple & easy-to-understand technique. I've got some confidence!! :)

Thank you for your UA-cam Page! I enjoy watching your many videos because:
    1. You don't waste 10 minutes explaining what you're getting ready to do (yawn)
    2. You are very clear what you're talking about. Succinct steps, great descriptions!
    3. You use simple, (mostly) homemade products, and try to make it easy for viewers to understand and feel confident!
    Keep up the amazing work!

good to see you back, momma. After all that mess, we were/still are worried about you. keep up that good fight! you were given this platform for a reason. At times, it will be testy, however, if you weren't able to pass those tests, He wouldn't have put you through it.
I've watched you for too long, and you've snatched my edges way too much for you to get down and out, now. Chin up, Whit. we love ya!

She was trying to get more information about #findourgirls and mentioned that they didn't all go missing at once based on her research (which is true). Her followers assumed because she said that they didn't all go missing at once that she was anti black 🙄 which was absurd . They were making some unthinkable comments on her post and she didn't even say anything offensive . She was just trying to find out about the girls and corrected some information

I love you so much, thank you thank youuuuu. You're the reason why I went natural like 5 years ago and you're the reason why I actually like my texture (which is almost identical to yours) and kind of know how to deal with it. If I hadn't found you and other naturals with type 4 hair, I'd probably be devasted about the fact that I'm not type 3 and end up wanting a texturizer. I just can't get over how much you've helped me actually love my hair, so just thank you (again) haha.

It's not possible not to, and then she leaves the sections to hang while she wets and styles the next section which means some of the product gets rinsed out of the first section by proximity. I just keep watching like 👀 she's putting it all in to rinse it all out?!? It's a conspiracy, her hair is blessed by God and the baby 👶 Jesus, all the while she's got us running to whole foods trying to get a 8th of her #blackgirlmagic ✨ 😂😂😂 and yet I keep doing it cause all her videos are 💣!

I was talking with this black girl the other day and I find it amazing how so many biracial women dont consider to be black because looking at so many vids including yours taught me that where's the difference....your hair curl texture I seen on so many biracials and yet biracials say they are different because of the hair texture difference between them and blacks....I'm a white woman so I dont know much about black hair but I do see that black women who are now going natural hair are similar to biracial people hair..the only difference is the biracial have another race parent but without that parent present biracials are just as the same as a black person. Im not trying to offend I just love your hair whitney and Im just intrigued by how black people and biracial hair is no different you both can have eachother hair texture. but yea the girl was just saying how so many blacks dont discuss about how their hair are the same as biracials even with two african american parents...I would love to hear your opinion on the matter whitney.

Sky Reacher most black people have percentage of white ancestry so our hair can come in multiple textures

Ugghhhh! F'n fabulous! I wonder how this would work on a 4c tho. It has been sed 4c-ers should never attempt a wash n go. it didn't work out when I did it, but I's'll try again lo

fazyt86 I have 4c hair and it works for me. The key is to have your hair really really wet before applying the gel

fazyt86 I have mostly 4c and I do wash n go's all the time. Not sure why people say we shouldn't do them.

it's the tangles man! no matter how well I detangle! I think it's better if the hair is longer bc there's more weight to it to pull it dwn.

fazyt86 But at the same time, the longer your hair is, the more opportunities there are for tangles! For me it's been about keeping my hair moisturized so it doesn't get dry and matted. The second my hair gets too dry, it's over for me.

Faces by Frankie You'll want to store it in the refrigerator in an air tight container. Should stay fresh for about two weeks or so. 😊
