After 18yrs of marriage out of nowhere my wife says she was leaving. I worshipped her and did everything for her and out of love let her have a free ride. On the way home after she told me I let her talk. She told me I never loved you and never wanted you or the kids. After that my brain did a 180. I never asked why, never got mad or begged. The next morning I came down and got infront of the tv and said your mother and I are getting a divorce and it's a mutual agreement. My kids were teenagers and actually she never did anything for them either. I kept the house and kids and never got any support from her. What I did get was a couple of months later her crying to come back. I don't know what she said at those 2 times because I was not paying attention. I know she never expected that from the guy that worshipped her

No respect for the man. I know you can't go your entire life hating on the ex, but she is still disrespecting the man by not following the court's instructions and changing her name back. One of my cousins went through this many years ago. His marriage of over 20 years ended because his wife started an affair and he caught her. He did OK in the divorce and she agreed to take her name back. After several years she still had not taken it back. When a grandchild was born he sat in a waiting room by himself away from the rest of the family. When his daughter walked into the room and asked him to join them his only question was is you know who still there? She said yes her mother was still there. He put his jacket on and walked in the other direction. It took almost 10 years, but the ex finally changed her name back. But by then he had enough and moved from Texas and settled in upstate NY where he still lives. The kids took the mother's side and he finally left. Yes, today they still try to get him to talk to them, but he won't let them in his life today. To this very day, he has not met a single grandchild and tosses photos sent to him.
Soon the daughter's husband will approach your cousin and will say 'you we're right all along it's mother like daughter.'

@@_aweshit Both of his daughters already have done that. Their mother has been married and divorced since. I don't think I did a good job of explaining the situation. The wife had already remarried when that grandbaby was born. She did not take her 2nd husband's name. After getting caught cheating by the 2nd husband he kicked her to the curb. It was after this that she took her maiden name back. The daughters over time saw their mistake, but by then my cousin was already living in Buffalo. They have tried to reconnect with him, but he is so badly hurt by all of them that he just can't do it. I speak to him via telephone several times a year and he and I connect via the Internet some. The problem is he doesn't hate the daughters, the problem is he is simply indifferent now. He and I are the sons of sisters. My mother's side of the family are noted for their stubbornness. I know because I am that way too.

How can you be friends with someone who would do what she did to him in front of all those people. That was not a mistake, it was done knowing what it would do to him. It's like breaking someone's leg and laughing at them because they walk with a limp.

Some things are better left in the past. Such as what happened and your ex. You sought but got no better understanding of her actions five years ago. So what did you gain?? She gave up all those years of bliss and family that you'd built together for one night of great sex. We're all tempted in life it's how we respond to those temptations that defines us.she choose to humiliate you in front of a crowd of others as they eagerly awaited your melt down and humiliation. If i were you on that night I would have announced loudly that I was done with the whore so I guess it's your turn now. She would have to live with what. This story has a sick ending. As soon as his ex showed up I would have gotten up and walked right out and left the party period. As soon as she left with that joker from the company party that would have turn my love to hate and I would NEVER forgive her for her betrayal and TOTAL disrespect. She really did not love him or respect her vows. To me every marriage should be done with a standard prenuptial agreement signed before the marriage.

Jim is a typical SIMP of a husband- using his wife's "bad year" as an excuse for her behavior. Losing her parents and having difficulties with her career are NOT excuses to behave this way. He's not in-shape, and his wife's improved figure makes her see him as not-so-attractive any longer. He's been the same while she's improved. She also makes more money than him. Meanwhile, Kyle is MUCH MORE physically attractive, appears to have more "resources", and has more confidence. Kyle is more "in her league" than Jim is... so she thought.
Dr. Toni got what she deserved- the end of her marriage and family- but was BRILLIANT in asking Jim to go home with her. Jill, seeing that, had a dagger stabbed through her heart right then and there! Jill made friends with Dr. Toni, NOT because they both got "screwed" by Kyle and lost their marriages, but because Dr. Toni asked her husband to go home with her. THAT wasn't supposed to happen! Jim was supposed to just accept her going with Kyle and wait for her to get home after the weekend. Guaranteed, Jill was thinking about her husband going home with Dr. Toni all weekend long.

Gents, women judge a man by his FUTURE. Men judge a woman by her PAST. The past for a woman can be yesterday. This is WHY women think a guy can get over an affair once it's already happened. She can come home and discuss what happened, and they can move forward as if it never occurred.
There are plenty of gals who've been where Dr. Toni and Jill have gone. These are the gals who, once the affair partner leaves for another woman and reality sets in, they really have to think about the s-x they had with him, and realize it was off-the-charts because of all the emotions they were feeling at that time- I'm hurting my husband by doing this.
