I always roll my eyes when women blame menopause for their adulterous behaviour. What bullshit. I went through menopause and not once did I ever think I had to sleep around with others. Just plain stupid entitlement and taking their spouse and marriage for granted, which had absolutely nothing to do with menopause.

He made a very wise decision. Why fight over divorcing, especially if he wasn't seeking to remarry. Basically separation or divorce, same outcome. His wise alternative to a divorce likely saved him a lot of unnecessary stress and additional heartache
His wife was a disappointment , but the one daughter who knew about and encouraged her behavior was unforgivable. He should have dropped dna kits on the table and demanded that the daughters send them in because he had doubts about them being his.
I actually think that's exactly backwards. The wife made the choice and on top of that she can't even say she's young and dumb. At least there is time for the daughter to be a better person. The wife is in her 50s and still making selfish choices like a 20 year old.
I'm starting to believe that this scenario is more common then I thought. I've been married for over 25 years and I can tell you that if my wife presented me with this BS I would end my marriage without a second thought.

How do people think it’s not cheating if they know about it? A relationship is an agreement between two people. If one person breaks the bond of that agreement without the others consent it’s cheating. By that logic, if you see your SO kissing another person or walk in on them sleeping with someone else it’s not cheating because you saw it and therefore know about it. So dumb.
Gee I wonder how far would this female logic get me if I was to call up the feds and say this is so and so and I'll be laundering money on this date and time and now that you know about it it's perfectly legal for me to do it 😅

I find so interesting, and at the same time so sad that the egoism is so spread, so often we may see, especially amongst women. Just like in this story. Why is it interesting? Because in the long run it is never ends well, yet people do all the time, and suffers the consequence. Tha sad part is the innocent party suffers too.

Honestly if you are old and never going to remarry. Probably easier and a lot cheaper than divorce. Although major heart problems and quitting your job with no insurance is probably not the best idea.
It's unlikely a woman this age is going to get a lot of action. But if he's in halfway decent shape which it sounds like he was from his description, he clearly has the numerical advantage of women for him probably in their mid to late 30s. And many many younger women would find an older man like him very attractive, were talking women still in their 20s.
So, I think he made the wrong move he should have said to her, "Well if you got to go out and just have zex then so do I! Although I cannot guarantee I will ever return to you, if I find some younger prettier woman out there I will replace you… You still want to do it?"

@@ricardocamara7116 Listen to the story again. She did this because he was too accommodating in his past. He also apologized, and said his behavior was childish in the hospital. The man just had a heart attack. His wife is all about her. When my FIL had a heart attack, the specialist told us to keep his stress level down. He should have never apologized when his body needed to repair. His wife was counting on walking all over him because she did it about everything else in the past.
